BACKGROUND A clean operating room is an important part of surgical and critical treatment in hospitals.The workload is substantial,the pace is rapid,and the working environment is intense;therefore,nurses who work in ...BACKGROUND A clean operating room is an important part of surgical and critical treatment in hospitals.The workload is substantial,the pace is rapid,and the working environment is intense;therefore,nurses who work in clean operating rooms are constantly challenged,which can lead to anxiety,depression,and other mental health issues.Life satisfaction and resilience are important factors that ensure mental health.Therefore,exploring the mediating role of life satisfaction in the influence of resilience on depression among nurses in clean operating rooms can help improve nursing services and teamwork.AIM To explore the mediating effect of satisfaction on the influence of resilience on depression among nurses in a clean operating department.METHODS From April to November 2022,196 nurses from the Department of Clean Operating at Harbin Medical University Cancer Hospital participated in this study.Participants were selected using convenience sampling.Participants’gender,age,marital status,position,length of service,personal monthly income,daily working hours,employment status,and professional title were collected,and the Connor-Davidson resilience scale,satisfaction with life scale,and selfrating depression scale were used to evaluate resilience,life satisfaction,and depression.The researchers conducted professional training in advance,introduced the research methods to the participants before the investigation,and explained the study’s significance and purpose.Surveys were distributed and collected on-site.Each questionnaire took 30 min to complete.RESULTS The average scores for life satisfaction,resilience,and depression were 3.13(±0.28),4.09(±0.78),and 56.21(±8.70),respectively.The correlation between resilience and depression was negative(r=-0.829,P<0.01).Life satisfaction was positively related to resilience(r=0.855,P<0.01)and negatively related to depression(r=-0.778,P<0.01).The relationship between resilience and depression was partially mediated by life satisfaction.The value of the mediating effect was-6.853(26.68%of the total effect).CONCLUSION Life satisfaction partially mediates the link between resilience and depression among nurses in clean operating departments.展开更多

QL assessment is becoming in- creasingly recognised as an outcome and predicto...BACKGROUND:Quality of life (QL) is a concept which reflects the physical, social, and emotional attitudes and behaviours of an individual. QL assessment is becoming in- creasingly recognised as an outcome and predictor for can- cer patients. Although hepatectomy has been widely ac- cepted as treatment of choice to offer a chance of cure for patients with liver cancer, little is known about the subjec- tive clinical results after this operation. This prospective study was designed to evaluate the Pre- and postoperative quality of life in patients with liver cancer. METHODS: The quality of life of 36 consecutive patients was measured using gastrointestinal quality of life index (GQLI) regularly 2 years after the operation, starting with a preoperative measurement. RESULTS: The score of mean preoperative GQLI was 106 ± 13 points, and it was reduced significantly 2-10 weeks after the operation (86-98) (P <0. 05-0.001). The quality of life recovered gradually. The GQLI score was 101 ± 21 points 4 months after operation and increased to the preo- perative level ( P > 0. 05 ). In the patients who survived more than 9 months, the GQLI score was higher than that before the operation. Major hepatectomy (lobectomy and combined segmentectomy) reduced the GQLI score more evidently than did minor hepatectomy (simple segmentec- tomy ) in 2-5 weeks after the operation (P <0.05). The age and preoperative liver function of the patients played an im- portant role in the recovery of the quality of life in the early postoperative stage (P <0.05). The patients with tumor re- currence showed a continuous decrease of the quality of life (P<0.05-0.001). CONCLUSIONS: The assessment of the quality of life is meaningful for patients with liver cancer. Tumor recur- rence, poor liver function and major operation are the most important factors for reducing the quality of life. He- patic resection is justified by its effects on the survival and the quality of life of the patients.展开更多
Disc cutter consumption is a critical problem that influences work performance during shield tunneling processes and directly affects the cutter change decision.This study proposes a new model to estimate the disc cut...Disc cutter consumption is a critical problem that influences work performance during shield tunneling processes and directly affects the cutter change decision.This study proposes a new model to estimate the disc cutter life(Hf)by integrating a group method of data handling(GMDH)-type neural network(NN)with a genetic algorithm(GA).The efficiency and effectiveness of the GMDH network structure are optimized by the GA,which enables each neuron to search for its optimum connections set from the previous layer.With the proposed model,monitoring data including the shield performance database,disc cutter consumption,geological conditions,and operational parameters can be analyzed.To verify the performance of the proposed model,a case study in China is presented and a database is adopted to illustrate the excellence of the hybrid model.The results indicate that the hybrid model predicts disc cutter life with high accuracy.The sensitivity analysis reveals that the penetration rate(PR)has a significant influence on disc cutter life.The results of this study can be beneficial in both the planning and construction stages of shield tunneling.展开更多
The paper presents life cycle energy analysis of a multifamily residential house situated in Allahabad (U.P), India. The study covers energy for construction, operation, maintenance and demolition phases of the buildi...The paper presents life cycle energy analysis of a multifamily residential house situated in Allahabad (U.P), India. The study covers energy for construction, operation, maintenance and demolition phases of the building. The selected building is a 4-storey concrete structured multifamily residential house comprising 44 apartments with usable floor area of 2960 m2. The material used for the building structure is steel reinforced concrete and envelope is made up of burnt clay brick masonry. Embodied energy of the building is calculated based on the embodied energy coefficients of building materials applicable in Indian context. Operating energy of the building is estimated using e-Quest energy simulation software. Results show that operating energy (89%) of the building is the largest contributor to life cycle energy of the building, followed by embodied energy (11%). Steel, cement and bricks are most significant materials in terms of contribution to the initial embodied energy profile. The life cycle energy intensity of the building is found to be 75 GJ/m2 and energy index 288 kWh/m2 years (primary). Use of aerated concrete blocks in the construction of walls and for covering roof has been examined as energy saving strategy and it is found that total life cycle energy demand of the building reduces by 9.7%. In addition, building integrated photo voltaic (PV) panels are found most promising for reduction (37%) in life cycle energy (primary) use of the building.展开更多

The strength under complex operating conditions was calculated with HyperWorks and the strength analysis confirmed eight dangerous points of the metro bolster beam. Since the metro did not consider the impact of traffic lights and sudden road conditions, the load spectra at eight dangerous points were established by counting the running time,passenger flow,site layout,site quantity and turning situations. The fatigue life of the metro bolster beam was projected by the von Mises stress method and the critical plane method. The results of these two methods revealed that the maximum damage occurred at the dangerous point 7,and the fatigue life based on the critical plane method was shorter than that based on the von Mises stress method.Since the McDiarmid model considered the effect of the magnitude and direction of the normal stress and the amplitude of the shear stress,it is closer to the actual situations of the metro. Hence,the McDiarmid model based on the critical plane method is more reasonable,and the method of fatigue life prediction is also suitable to the metro bolster beam of other lines.展开更多

It is desired that the patient with any kind of TB disease should lead a respectable and happier life during their course of TB treatment. Currently, the quality of life (QOL) is an important indicator to assess the well-being of a person and there is paucity of such information among TB patients. Hence, we conducted to assess and compare the QOL of Revised National TB Control Programme registered Drug sensitive TB patients, Drug resistant TB patients and general population of Gadag district in Karnataka, India. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in Gadag district, Karnataka from March 2017 through March 2018 among drug sensitive, drug resistant TB patients and general population. A Non-probability purposive sampling was adopted to select the samples that were matched for age, gender and ward. The select patients were administered WHO QOL-BREF questionnaire by trained personnel. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 12 analysis software. Results: The scores obtained for the four domains of QOL were (a) physical health: 69.62 + 18.29 (b) Psychological: 66.96 + 18.62 (c) Environment: 60.99 + 15.05 and (d) Social relationships: 53.5 + 19.93. Conclusions: The drug resistant TB patients have poor QOL when compared to drug sensitive and general population.展开更多

The following conclusions are drawn : (1) molten steel temperature rising, remaiaing time prolonging, slag oxidation ability enhancing, slag viscosity and basicity decreasing can aecelerate the corrosion of ladle lining ; (2) ultra-high temperature and vacuum treatment of ladle not only acceler- ate the fusion corrasion of ladle lining, but also make the carbon containing refractories react forming gases leading to more corrosion, so carbon containing refractories are not stdtable.for the smelting conditions of long term vacuum treatment and ultra-high temperature, especially carbon containing refractories added with conventional additives such as A1 and Si powders ; ( 3 ) argon blowing does not accelerate the corrosion of ladle lining obvioasly, but oxygen blowing does; (4) the corrosion degree of refractories varies with the refining equipment, and the service life of ladle lining decreases according to a certain proportion with the refining ratio increasing.展开更多

When a generator is scheduled for maintenance, achieving optimal generation scheduling for the committed generators is necessary but it is not sufficient for secure operation of power systems. This problem is decomposed into two subproblems: i) Finding the optimal set points for the generators;ii) Validating secure operation with those set points from i). Both these subproblems [i) and ii)] have been studied extensively in the literatures. However, the research here focuses on incorporating battery energy storage systems (BESS) in power operation, a renewable generation that can provide smooth and flexible reserves of power, an area that has not yet been fully explored. In addition, incorporating BESS while considering both the cost implications and addressing secure operation has not yet been addressed in previous literatures. The purpose of this paper is to present both secure and optimal operation besides improving the longevity of the BESS. Life Cycle Energy (LCE) consumption data of buildings is not available in public domain which is essentially required for building designers and policy makers to formulate strategies for reduction in LCE of buildings. The paper presents LCE of twenty (20) low rise residential buildings in Indian context. LCE of the studied buildings is varying from 160 - 380 kWh/m2 year (Primary). The following conclusions are drawn : (1) molten steel temperature rising, remaiaing time prolonging, slag oxidation ability enhancing, slag viscosity and basicity decreasing can aecelerate the corrosion of ladle lining ; (2) ultra-high temperature and vacuum treatment of ladle not only acceler- ate the fusion corrasion of ladle lining, but also make the carbon containing refractories react forming gases leading to more corrosion, so carbon containing refractories are not stdtable.for the smelting conditions of long term vacuum treatment and ultra-high temperature, especially carbon containing refractories added with conventional additives such as A1 and Si powders ; ( 3 ) argon blowing does not accelerate the corrosion of ladle lining obvioasly, but oxygen blowing does; (4) the corrosion degree of refractories varies with the refining equipment, and the service life of ladle lining decreases according to a certain proportion with the refining ratio increasing.
文摘Maintenance schedule of generators in an interconnected power system presents multifaceted challenges, two important ones being optimal operation cost and secure operation. When a generator is scheduled for maintenance, achieving optimal generation scheduling for the committed generators is necessary but it is not sufficient for secure operation of power systems. This problem is decomposed into two subproblems: i) Finding the optimal set points for the generators;ii) Validating secure operation with those set points from i). Both these subproblems [i) and ii)] have been studied extensively in the literatures. However, the research here focuses on incorporating battery energy storage systems (BESS) in power operation, a renewable generation that can provide smooth and flexible reserves of power, an area that has not yet been fully explored. In addition, incorporating BESS while considering both the cost implications and addressing secure operation has not yet been addressed in previous literatures. The purpose of this paper is to present both secure and optimal operation besides improving the longevity of the BESS. Feasibility of the proposed approach is demonstrated on Tabuk region—an isolated northwest grid of Saudi Arabia.
文摘Life cycle energy of the building accounts for all energy inputs to the buildings during their intended service life. Buildings need to be constructed in such a way that energy consumption in their life cycle is minimal. Life Cycle Energy (LCE) consumption data of buildings is not available in public domain which is essentially required for building designers and policy makers to formulate strategies for reduction in LCE of buildings. The paper presents LCE of twenty (20) low rise residential buildings in Indian context. LCE of the studied buildings is varying from 160 - 380 kWh/m2 year (Primary). Based on the LCE data of studied buildings, an equation is proposed to readily reckon LCE of a new building.
文摘针对轨道交通行业发展特点、前景以及用户需求,分析车载广播系统中的LED显示设备的硬件设计和软件框架设计,并对LED显示设备在数字型乘客信息系统(Passenger Information System,PIS)平台上的研发方向进行简要分析和展望。基于STM32H743芯片设计轨道交通车载LED显示屏,通过乘客信息系统的PTU软件实现文本信息更新、网络升级、故障自检等功能,降低运维人力成本和系统故障率。
