Review of operational management in intelligent agriculture based on the Internet of Things

This review aims to gain insight into the current research and application of operational management in the area of intelligent agriculture based on the Internet of Things(IoT),and consequently,identify existing shortcomings and potential issues.First,we use the Java application CiteSpace to analyze co-citation networks in the literature related to the operational management of IoT-based intelligent agriculture.From the literature analysis results,we identify three major fields:(1)the development of agricultural IoT(Agri-IoT)technology,(2)the precision management of agricultural production,and(3)the traceability management of agricultural products.Second,we review research in the three fields separately in detail.Third,on the basis of the research gaps identified in the review and from the perspective of integrating and upgrading the entire agricultural industry chain,additional research directions are recommended from the following aspects:The operational management of agricultural production,product processing,and product sale and after-sale service based on Agri-IoT.The theoretical research and practical application of combining operational management theories and IoT-based intelligent agriculture will provide informed decision support for stakeholders and drive the further development of the entire agriculture industry chain.

Emergency department operations and management education in emergency medicine training

BACKGROUND:This study was undertaken to examine the current level of operations and management education within US-based Emergency Medicine Residency programs.METHODS:Residency program directors at all US-based Emergency Medicine Residency programs were anonymously surveyed via a web-based instrument.Participants indicated their levels of residency education dedicated to documentation,billing/coding,core measure/quality indicator compliance,and operations management.Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics for the ordinal data/Likert scales.RESULTS:One hundred and six(106)program directors completed the study instrument of one hundred and fifty-six(156)programs(70%).Of these,82.6%indicated emergency department(ED)operations and management education within the training curriculum.Dedicated documentation training was noted in all but 1 program(99%).Program educational offerings also included billing/coding(83%),core measure/quality indicators(78%)and operations management training(71%).In all areas,the most common means of educating came through didactic sessions and direct attending feedback or 69%-94%and 72%-98%respectively.Residency leadership was most confident with resident understanding of quality documentation(80%)and less so with core measures(72%),billing/coding/RVUs(58%),and operations management tools(23%).CONCLUSIONS:While most EM residency programs integrate basic operational education related to documentation and billing/coding,a smaller number provide focused education on the dayto-day management and operations of the ED.Residency leadership perceives graduating resident understanding of operational management tools to be limited.All respondents value further resident curriculum development of ED operations and management.

Research and Design of IPv6 Network Management and Operations Support System

IPv6 is the foundation of the development of Next Generation Internet (NGI). An IPv6 network management and operations support system is necessary for real operable NGI. Presently there are no approved standards yet and relevant equipment interfaces are not perfect. A Network Management System (NMS) at the network layer helps implement the integrated management of a network with equipment from multiple vendors, including the network resources and topology, end-to-end network performance, network failures and customer Service Level Agreement (SLA) management. Though the NMS will finally realize pure IPv6 network management, it must be accommodated to the management of relevant IPv4 equipment. Therefore, modularized and layered structure is adopted for the NMS in order to implement its smooth transition.

城市地下综合管廊是保障城市正常运转的“生命线”,关系着广大民众的日常生活和社会的稳定,如何使其平稳、高效运行已成为社会各界广为重视的问题。综合管廊运维管理涉及的主客体众多,以人工监管方式为主的传统运维方式效率低、准确率不足、安全性难以保障,因此,本文基于BIM+技术视角,为城市地下综合管廊的智能运维管理提供一种新思路,以期实现综合管廊管理的标准化、规范化,提高管理效率、降低管理成本。本文包括引言与结语共分为五个部分。首先,介绍本文的研究背景、意义,以及研究思路。其次,阐述综合管廊传统运维管理模式的现状及存在问题。然后,提出综合管廊运维管理的基本目标,并基于BIM+技术,尝试构建城市地下综合管廊的智能运维管理系统。最后,对文章进行总结并提出展望。

上海市级新型冠状病毒肺炎定点医院医疗救治体系构建与运行管理

Cervical spine fractures in osteopetrosis:a case report and review of the literature

While management of appendicular fractures has been well described in the setting of osteopetrosis, there is limited information on managing fractures of the axial spine. Here we present an osteopetrotic patient with multiple traumatic multiple, comminuted, unstable cervical spinal fractures managed with non-operative stabilization, and provide a review of the pathophysiology, genetic characteristics, and special considerations that must be explored when determining operative versus non-operative management of spinal injury in osteopetrosis. A PubMed query was performed for English articles in the literature published up to June 2016, and used the following search terms alone and in combination： ＂osteopetrosis＂, ＂spine＂, ＂fractures＂, ＂osteoclasts＂, and ＂operative management＂. Within four months after initial injury, treatment with halo vest allowed for adequate healing. The patient was asymptomatic with cervical spine dynamic radiographs confirming stability at four months. On four-year follow up examination, the patient remained without neck pain, and CT scan demonstrated partially sclerotic fracture lines with appropriate anatomical alignment. In conclusion, external halo stabilization may be an effective option for treatment of multiple unstable acute traumatic cervical spine fractures in patients with osteopetrosis. Given the challenge of surgical stabilization in osteopetrosis, further research is necessary to elucidate the optimal form of treatment in this select patient population.

Diagnosis and Treatment and Infection Protection Strategy of Osteoporotic Vertebral Compression Fractures Minimally Invasive Percutaneous Kyphoplasty Surgery during the Prevention and Control of COVID-19

Background: As the global novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP) remains severe, elderly people are at high risk for NCP and osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures, with high complications and mortality. How to treat patients and protect medical staff from infection, and at the same time strictly prevent the occurrence of clustered transmission events in the hospital, the establishment of perfect pre-hospital emergency measures and infection prevention and control strategy is the first element to ensure success. Objective: To establish the diagnosis and treatment and infection protection strategy for Osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (OVCF) patients undergoing minimally invasive percutaneous kyphoplasty (PKP) surgery during the prevention and control of COVID-19, so as to ensure the stable, orderly and safe medical treatment. Methods: A total of 583 OVCF patients were admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei North University during the epidemic prevention and control period from January 2020 to July 2022. After urgent and outpatient strict standardized screening, 382 patients met the inclusion criteria, including 112 males and 270 females, aged (70.50 ± 5.49) years. The preoperative visual analogue scale (VAS) score was 6.92 ± 1.86. Preoperative Oswestry disability index (ODI) was 74.67 ± 4.84. The satisfaction rate was (45.89 ± 3.67) %. According to the clinical diagnostic criteria and classification, 367 patients were diagnosed as ordinary OVCF, including 156 cases of mild compression and 226 cases of moderate compression. The clinical classification of 15 patients with OVCF diagnosed as COVID-19 was type I, including 10 cases of mild COVID-19 and 5 cases of common COVID-19. All patients were treated with PKP. Results: All patients were followed up at 1 day, 1 month and 3 months after operation, VAS (2.01 ± 0.56, 0.45 ± 0.11, 0 ± 0), ODI (45.41 ± 4.15, 10.22 ± 2.73, 4.03 ± 1.57) and satisfaction (90.12%, 95.57%, 99.23%) were significantly improved compared with those before operation (p < 0.05), and the original medical diseases were not aggravated. In this group, 15 cases of OVCF diagnosed with COVID-19 were given priority to treat COVID-19 under strict three-level protection in the designated isolation ward. PKP was carried out after the condition was stable, and the areas, items and personnel in contact with patients during the perioperative period must be strictly and thoroughly disinfected. The patient had a good prognosis, no complications, no cross-infection in the hospital, and no infection rate among medical staff. Conclusions: The implementation of the diagnosis and treatment and infection protection strategy for OVCF patients undergoing minimally invasive PKP surgery during the prevention and control of COVID-19 has a guiding role in preventing the spread of infection, improving the cure rate, promoting rapid recovery, reducing complications and reducing mortality.

A literature review of perishable medical resource management

In recent decades,healthcare providers have faced mounting pressure to effectively manage highly perishable and limited medical resources.This article offers a comprehensive review of supply chain management pertaining to such resources,which include transplantable organs and healthcare products.The review encompasses 93 publications from 1990 to 2022,illustrating a discernible upward trajectory in annual publications.The surveyed literature is categorized into three levels:Strategic,tactical,and operational.Key problem attributes and methodologies are analyzed through the assessment of pertinent publications for each problem level.Furthermore,research on service innovation,decision analytics,and supply chain resilience elucidates potential areas for future research.

Energy storage resources management:Planning,operation,and business model

With the acceleration of supply-side renewable energy penetration rate and the increasingly diversified and complex demand-side loads,how to maintain the stable,reliable,and efficient operation of the power system has become a challenging issue requiring investigation.One of the feasible solutions is deploying the energy storage system(ESS)to integrate with the energy system to stabilize it.However,considering the costs and the input/output characteristics of ESS,both theinitial configuration process and the actual operation process require efficient management.This study presents a comprehensive reviewof managing ESs from the perspectives of planning,operation,and business model.First of all,in terms of planning and configuration,it is investigated from capacity planning,location planning,as well as capacity and location combined planning.This process is generally the first step in deploying ESS.Then,it explores operation management of ESS from the perspectives of state assessment and operation optimization.The so-called state assessment refers to the assessment of three aspects:The state of charge(SOC),the state of health(SOH),and the remaining useful life(RUL).The operation optimization includes ESS operation strategy optimization and joint operation optimization.Finally,it discusses the business models of ESS.Traditional business models involve ancillary services and load transfer,while emerging business models include electric vehicle(EV)as energy storage and shared energy storage.
