Operation control of power systems has become challenging with an increase in the scale and complexity of power distribution systems and extensive access to renewable energy.Therefore,improvement of the ability of dat...Operation control of power systems has become challenging with an increase in the scale and complexity of power distribution systems and extensive access to renewable energy.Therefore,improvement of the ability of data-driven operation management,intelligent analysis,and mining is urgently required.To investigate and explore similar regularities of the historical operating section of the power distribution system and assist the power grid in obtaining high-value historical operation,maintenance experience,and knowledge by rule and line,a neural information retrieval model with an attention mechanism is proposed based on graph data computing technology.Based on the processing flow of the operating data of the power distribution system,a technical framework of neural information retrieval is established.Combined with the natural graph characteristics of the power distribution system,a unified graph data structure and a data fusion method of data access,data complement,and multi-source data are constructed.Further,a graph node feature-embedding representation learning algorithm and a neural information retrieval algorithm model are constructed.The neural information retrieval algorithm model is trained and tested using the generated graph node feature representation vector set.The model is verified on the operating section of the power distribution system of a provincial grid area.The results show that the proposed method demonstrates high accuracy in the similarity matching of historical operation characteristics and effectively supports intelligent fault diagnosis and elimination in power distribution systems.展开更多

The potential benefits of the Fusion are multi-sensors’ redundan...The multi-sensors fusion refers to the synergistic combination of sensory data from multiple sensors to provide more accurate and reliable information. The potential benefits of the Fusion are multi-sensors’ redundancy and extra information acquired. The fusion of redundant information can reduce the overall uncertainty and thus helps to provide information specified more precisely. Several sensors providing redundant information can also be used to increase reliability in the case of error, omission or failure of sensors. The combination operators are exponential and are more complex in terms of calculation;the Dempster-Shafer operator is exponential for more than three (3) information sources?[1] [2]. Our work focuses on the definition of another formulation of this operation, and puts it in a matrix form to illuminate the computational complexity, more precision guaranty and a minimal execution time. We propose to use each information source in a form of a matrix, which contains 0 value in lines that do not contain the masses (m(Ai) = 0) or once m(Ai) is not null (m(Ai) ≠ 0). The use of this expressed matrix attempts to ameliorate Dempster-Shafer operator via initialing either a criterion or criteria sources’ solution, increasing the efficiency of the Dempster-Shafer operator and facilitates the combination among the sources. We evaluate our approach by conducting a case study for showing the effectiveness of this matrix.展开更多

It remains a hard job for senior managers to make decisions based on the plant-wide real-time integrated information. This paper proposes a multi-layer information integration platform. In the data integration level, the standard for the exchange of product (STEP) and the extensible markup language (XML) are used to unify these data of the chemical process. In the model integration level, the models are integrated by using the neutral model repository and CAPE-OPEN. In the integration of process task, the common object request broker architecture (CORBA) is used as the communication mediator. The XML is taken as the data standard. A uniform information platform is thus constructed and realized. The proposed information integration platform is satisfactorily implemented to solve the Tennessee Eastman (TE) problem.展开更多

However,...Maritime radar and automatic identification systems (AIS), which are essential auxiliary equipment for navigation safety in the shipping industry, have played significant roles in maritime safety supervision. However, in practical applications, the information obtained by a single device is limited, and it is necessary to integrate the information of maritime radar and AIS messages to achieve better recognition effects. In this study, the D-S evidence theory is used to fusion the two kinds of heterogeneous information: maritime radar images and AIS messages. Firstly, the radar image and AIS message are processed to get the targets of interest in the same coordinate system. Then, the coordinate position and heading of targets are chosen as the indicators for judging target similarity. Finally, a piece of D-S evidence theory based on the information fusion method is proposed to match the radar target and the AIS target of the same ship. Particularly, the effectiveness of the proposed method has been validated and evaluated through several experiments, which proves that such a method is practical in maritime safety supervision.展开更多

In this paper, the focus is on the analysis model of the characteristics of information flow in shop floor operations based on the influence that dimension (support or medium), direction and the quality information flow have on the value of information flow using machine learning classification algorithms. The obtained results of classification algorithms used to analyze the value of information flow are Decision Trees (DT) and Random Forest (RF) with a score of 0.99% and the mean absolute error of 0.005. The results also show that the management of information flow using DT or RF shows that, the dimension of information such as digital information has the greatest value of information flow in shop floor operations when the shop floor is totally digitalized. Direction of information flow does not have any great influence on shop floor operations processes when the operations processes are digitalized or done by operators as machines.展开更多

We present the design and implementation of a instrument localization system that is based on information fusion strategies to enhance its recognition power. The system was implemented using RFID technology. It monitored the presence of surgical tools in the interventional site and the instrument tray and combined the measured information by applying redundant, complementary, and cooperative information fusion strategy to achieve a more comprehensive model of the current situation. An evaluation study was performed that showed a correct classification rate of 97% for the system.展开更多
