METHODS: Four hundred eyes from 200 patients were examined under SIRIUS corneal topography system. Phoenis analysis software was applied to simulate the MTF curves of anterior corneal surface at vertical and horizontal meridians at the 3, 4, 5, 6, 7mm optical zones of cornea. The MTF values at spatial frequencies of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55 and 60 cycles/degree (c/d) were selected. RESULTS: The MTF curve of anterior corneal surface decreased rapidly from low to intermediate frequency (0-15cpd) at various optical zones of cornea, the value decreased to 0 slowly at higher frequency (>15cpd). With the increase of the optical zones of cornea, MTF curve decreased gradually. 3) In the range of 3 mm- 6 mm optical zones of the cornea, the MTF values measured at horizontal meridian were greater than the corresponding values at horizontal meridian of each spatial frequency, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). At 7 mm optical zones of cornea, the MTF values measured at horizontal meridian were less than the corresponding values at vertical meridian at 10-60 spatial frequencies (cpd), and the difference was statistically significant in 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 cpd(P<0.05). CONCLUSION: MTF can be used to describe the imaging quality of optical systems at anterior corneal surface objectively in detail.展开更多

It is theoretically proved that the delay effect consists of both fiber delay and servo delay. The delay effect confines the servo bandwidth within 1/8 and induces a residual fiber phase noise after noise compensation. For a 25-km-long fiber, the servo bandwidth is found to be around 1 k Hz, and the fiber phase noise is suppressed approaching to the theoretical limitation. The triple-pass scheme enables the simultaneous transfer of optical frequency to multiple remote users. The performance of noise compensator in the triple-pass scheme can achieve a similar level result compared with that in the double-pass scheme.展开更多

We demonstrate an optical diffractive decoder with electronic encoding to accurately transfer the optical information of interest, corresponding to, e.g., any arbitrary input object or message, through unknown random phase diffusers along the optical path. This hybrid electronic-optical model, trained using supervised learning, comprises a convolutional neural network-based electronic encoder and successive passive diffractive layers that are jointly optimized. 文摘Infrared photovoltaic cells(IRPCs)have attracted considerable attention for potential applications in wireless optical power transfer(WOPT)systems. As an efcient fber-integrated WOPT system typically uses a 1550 nm laser beam,it is essential to tune the peak conversion efciency of IRPCs to this wavelength. However,IRPCs based on lead sulfde(PbS)colloidal quantum dots(CQDs)with an excitonic peak of 1550 nm exhibit low short circuit current(Jsc)due to insufcient absorption under monochromatic light illumination. Here,we propose comprehensive optical engineering to optimize the device structure of IRPCs based on PbS CQDs,for 1550 nm WOPT systems. The absorption by the device is enhanced by improving the transmittance of tin-doped indium oxide(ITO)in the infrared region and by utilizing the optical resonance efect in the device. Therefore, the optimized device exhibited a high short circuit current density of 37.65 mA/cm^(2)under 1 sun(AM 1.5G)solar illumination and 11.91 mA/cm^(2)under 1550 nm illumination 17.3 mW/cm^(2).Furthermore,the champion device achieved a record high power conversion efciency(PCE)of 7.17%under 1 sun illumination and 10.29%under 1550 nm illumination. The PbS CQDs IRPCs under 1550 nm illumination can even light up a liquid crystal display(LCD),demonstrating application prospects in the future.

文摘We experimentally demonstrated optical wireless power transfer(OWPT)using a near-infrared laser diode(LD)as the optical power transmitter. We considered a photovoltaic(PV)cell and a photodiode(PD)as the optical power receivers. We investigated the characteristics of the LD,PD,and PV cell in order to determine the optimum operating condition from the viewpoint of transfer efficiency. We also experimentally demonstrated a whole system optimization process to maximize the DC-to-DC transfer efficiency of the OWPT.Our experimental results showed that the optimization process can improve the OWPT efficiency by up to 48%.

文摘We experimentally demonstrate an underwater optical wireless power transfer (OWPT) using a laser diode (LD) as a power transmitter. We investigate the characteristics of a solar cell and a photodiode (PD) as a power receiver. We optimize the LD, the PD, and the solar cell to achieve the maximum transfer efficiency. The maxi- mum transfer efficiency of the back-to-back OWPT is measured as 4.3% with the PD receiver. Subsequently, we demonstrate the OWPT in tap and sea water. Our result shows an attenuation of 3 dB/m in sea water.

文摘We propose a new analytical edge spread function (ESF) fitting model to measure the modulation transfer function (MTF).The ESF data obtained from a slanted-edge image are fitted to our model through the non-linear least squares (NLLSQ) method. The differentiation of the ESF yields the line spread function (LSF),the Fourier transform of which gives the profile of two-dimensional MTF.Compared with the previous methods, the MTF estimate determined by our method conforms more closely to the reference.A practical application of our MTF measurement in degraded image restoration also validates the accuracy of our model.

文摘Dielectric metasurfaces-based planar optical spatial differentiator and edge detection have recently been proposed to play an important role in the parallel and fast image processing technology. With the development of dielectric metasurfaces of different geometries and resonance mechanisms, diverse on-chip spatial differentiators have been proposed by tailoring the dispersion characteristics of subwavelength structures. This review focuses on the basic principles and characteristic parameters of dielectric metasurfaces as first-and second-order spatial differentiators realized via the Green's function approach. The spatial bandwidth and polarization dependence are emphasized as key properties by comparing the optical transfer flinctions of metasurfaces for different incident wavevectors and polarizations. To present the operational capabilities of a two-dimensional spatial differentiator in image information acquisition, edge detection is described to illustrate the practicability of the device. As an application example, experimental demonstrations of edge detection for different biological cells and a flower mold are discussed,in which a spatial differentiator and objective lens or camera are integrated in three optical pathway configurations. The realization of spatial differentiators and edge detection with dielectric metasurfaces provides new opportunities for ultrafast information identification in biological imaging and machine vision.
