Double OEL devices with Gd complex indicated considerable photovoltaic properties. About 20 μA·cm -2 of maximum short current ( I sc ) and 2 2 V of maximum voltage ( V oc ) of the photovolotaic cell with the rare earth complex under illumination UV lamp with 365 nm were achieved. Although the most sensitive response of it is at UV region, V oc larger than 1 5 V under solar illumination can also be observed. Under UV light illumination of 367 nm, V oc =844 mV, I sc =2 1 μA·cm -2 and 4% of energy transfer efficiency were measured.展开更多

The expre...By considering the interaction between Fowler-Nordheim tunneling injection theory and charge carriers transporting through the bulk, an electroluminescence model for organic single-layer diodes is presented. The expressions of the recombination current density, recombination efficiency and conductivity of the diodes are provided, which elucidate the controlling role of the electric field on mobility and recombination zone. The equilibrium of two opposite charge carriers injection and the central position of recombination zone are two important preconditions for reducing the leakage current. Space-charge-limited current occurs only over a certain high bias, meanwhile, the quantity of injection carriers increases over the transport capacity of the bulk.展开更多

PPV-based copolymers with cyano group in the main chain have been synthesized by Wittig-type polycondensation of alkoxy-substituted dialdehydes and 4,4’-bis(cyanomethyl)-substituted diphenyl ether: [―C6H4―O―C6H4―...PPV-based copolymers with cyano group in the main chain have been synthesized by Wittig-type polycondensation of alkoxy-substituted dialdehydes and 4,4’-bis(cyanomethyl)-substituted diphenyl ether: [―C6H4―O―C6H4―C(CN)(CH―C6H2(OR)2―C(C(CN)―]n (POPPV). The copolymers are highly soluble in common solvents and their super highly transparent homogeneous thin films can be formed by spin coating directly without heat treatment. The chemical structures are determined by NMR and IR spectroscopys and evaluated using photoluminescence, gel-permeation chromatography (GPC) and DSC (or TGA) methods. The incorporation of ether group into the PPV backbone has an interruption of the main-chain conjugation, that results in the blue-shift of electroluminescence spectra and enhancement the solubility.展开更多
