In perovskite solar cells(PSCs),the inherent defects of perovskite film and the random distribution of excess lead iodide(PbI_(2))prevent the improvement of efficiency and stability.Herein,natural cellulose is used as the raw material to design a series of cellulose derivatives for perovskite crystallization engineering.The cationic cellulose derivative C-Im-CN with cyano-imidazolium(Im-CN)cation and chloride anion prominently promotes the crystallization process,grain growth,and directional orientation of perovskite.Meanwhile,excess PbI_(2)is transferred to the surface of perovskite grains or formed plate-like crystallites in local domains.These effects result in suppressing defect formation,decreasing grain boundaries,enhancing carrier extraction,inhibiting non-radiative recombination,and dramatically prolonging carrier lifetimes.Thus,the PSCs exhibit a high power conversion efficiency of 24.71%.Moreover,C-Im-CN has multiple interaction sites and polymer skeleton,so the unencapsulated PSCs maintain above 91.3%of their initial efficiencies after 3000 h of continuous operation in a conventional air atmosphere and have good stability under high humidity conditions.The utilization of biopolymers with excellent structure-designability to manage the perovskite opens a state-of-the-art avenue for manufacturing and improving PSCs. 展开更多

We use laser-scanning nonlinear imaging microscopy in atomically thin transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)to reveal information on the crystalline orientation distribution,within the 2D lattice.In particular,we perform polarization-resolved second-harmonic generation(PSHG)imaging in a stationary,raster-scanned chemical vapor deposition(CVD)-grown WS2 flake,in order to obtain with high precision a spatially resolved map of the orientation of its main crystallographic axis(armchair orientation).By fitting the experimental PSHG images of sub-micron resolution into a generalized nonlinear model,we are able to determine the armchair orientation for every pixel of the image of the 2D material,with further improved resolution.This pixel-wise mapping of the armchair orientation of 2D WS2 allows us to distinguish between different domains,reveal fine structure,and estimate the crystal orientation variability,which can be used as a unique crystal quality marker over large areas.The necessity and superiority of a polarization-resolved analysis over intensity-only measurements is experimentally demonstrated,while the advantages of PSHG over other techniques are analysed and discussed. 展开更多

Investigation on the Orientation Transition of Oriented Magnetostrictive TbDyFe Crystals

〈110〉 and 〈112〉 TbDyFe magnetostrictive oriented crystals were prepared by the zone-melting unidirectional solidification method at 240 mmfh and 720 mm/h respectively. 〈112〉 oriented crystals were also obtained ... 〈110〉 and 〈112〉 TbDyFe magnetostrictive oriented crystals were prepared by the zone-melting unidirectional solidification method at 240 mmfh and 720 mm/h respectively. 〈112〉 oriented crystals were also obtained with 〈110〉 oriented seeds with the same technique as for growing the 〈112〉 oriented crystals. It is confirmed that this technique is stable for growing the oriented crystals in the TbDyFe alloys. Meanwhile, the variation of orientation, the solidification morphology and the magnetostriction were studied during the transition from 〈110〉 oriented seeds to the 〈112〉 oriented crystal growth. As the growth speeds up, the preferred orientation changed from 〈110〉 to 〈112〉, and its morphology develops from of initial cellular to dendritic gradually. When an axial compressive pre-stress of 10 MPa is applied, the magnetostriction at the bottom, the middle and the top are 972× 10^6, 918 × 10^-6 and 900× 10^-6 at 100 mT respectively. The middle sections with mixed orientations have the same high magnetostriction performance as those with a single preferred orientation, which may be due to its celluar-dendritic morphology. 展开更多

By means of TEM technique the orientation relationships of cementite, precipitated from islands of granular bainite during tempering, with ferrite have been observed. By calculating the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of transformation matrix, Isaichev relationship has been analyzed. The results indicate that Isaichev relationship is indeed the sum of Kurdjumov-Sachs relationship and Pitsch relationship, so the viewpoint that the cementite with Isaichev relationship precipitates from austenite, instead of ferrite, was confirmed. Moreover, the matrix calculation shows that three reported orientation relationships among austenite, ferrite and cementite in pearlitic transformation cannot be simultaneously valid. Orientation-dependent morphological stability of grain boundary groove

Crystal orientation influences the morphological stability of solid–liquid interface during directional solidification of alloy, resulting in the variation of solidified microstructure. In this paper, the morphological evolution near grain boundary grooves(GBGs) with different crystal orientations in a dilute succinonitrile alloy under low temperature gradient and interface velocity is observed in situ. Under experimental conditions, the macroscopic solid–liquid interface is planar and keeps stable, while in GBGs there emerge protrusion and undulation. It is found that the morphological stability of GBG is dependent on crystal orientation. Specifically, for succinonitrile with a body-centered cubic crystal structure, GBGs around the 100 crystal orientation keep stable, while those apart from the 100 crystal orientation become unstable under the same conditions. So it is concluded that 100 crystal orientation favors the morphological stability of GBG. 展开更多

In comparison with that the coefficients in the mth term of the Fourier expansion of a 3_D ODF make up just a single irreducible mth_order tensor, the coefficients in the mth term of the Fourier expansion of a 3_D CODF constitute generally so many as 2m+1 irreducible mth_order tensors. Therefore, the restricted forms of tensorial Fourier expansions of 3_D CODFs imposed by various micro_ and macro_scopic symmetries are further established, and it is shown that in most cases of symmetry the restricted forms of tensorial Fourier expansions of 3_D CODFs contain remarkably reduced numbers of mth_order irreducible tensors than the number 2m+1 . These results are based on the restricted forms of irreducible tensors imposed by various point_group symmetries, which are also thoroughly investigated in the present part in both 2_ and 3_D spaces. 展开更多

The result shows that black plate influences corrosion resistance of T5 tinplate intensely. It also indicates that the increase of content of manganese, phosphorus, silicon and aluminum in black plate would reduce the corrosion resistance of T5 tinplate and the increase of degree of crystal orientation on (200) crystal face, |X-Y| value (internal stress difference within two orientation), roughness and exposure degree of iron grain after the same acid wash of black plate would enhance the corrosion resistance of T5 tinplate and the grain number of black plate has small effect on corrosion resistance of T5 tinplate. 展开更多

The tensile deformation behavior and corresponding microstructure evolution of the Mg-4.7Gd-3.4Y-1.2Zn-0.5Zr(at.%)magnesium alloy with long period stacking structure(LPSO)are studied by electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)and slip lines methods.The results show that less and very small size of twins is observed in the grains with high value of Schmid factor for twinning,which indicates that the growth of the{10–12}twinning deformation is prevented by the LPSO phase.The prismatic lines present in grains of which the prismatic slip Schmid factor is above 0.4.The favorable orientation and LPSO phase synergistically promote the activation of prismatic slip.The inhomogeneous rotation of the grains during deformation is the reason for the microcrack at grain boundary. 展开更多

Perovskite light-emitting diodes(PeLEDs)are considered as promising candidates for nextgeneration solution-processed full-color displays.However,the external quantum efficiencies(EQEs)and operational stabilities of deep-blue(<460 nm)PeLEDs still lag far behind their red and green counterparts.Herein,a rapid crystallization method based on hot-antisolvent bathing is proposed for realization of deep-blue PeLEDs.By promoting immediate removal of the precursor solvent from the wet perovskite films,development of the quasi-two-dimensional(2D)Ruddlesden–Popper perovskite(2D-RPP)crystals with n values>3 is hampered completely,so that phase-pure 2D-RPP films with bandgaps suitable for deep-blue PeLEDs can be obtained successfully.The uniquely developed rapid crystallization method also enables formation of randomly oriented 2D-RPP crystals,thereby improving the transfer and transport kinetics of the charge carriers.Thus,high-performance deep-blue PeLEDs emitting at 437 nm with a peak EQE of 0.63%are successfully demonstrated.The color coordinates are confirmed to be(0.165,0.044),which match well with the Rec.2020 standard blue gamut and have excellent spectral stability. 展开更多

To validate the correctness of the Hartman-Perdok Theory (HPT), which indicates that the { 111 } planes have the lowest surface energy in spinel ferrites, the {111} plane orientated ZnFe204 thin films on Si(100), Si(111), and SIO2(500 nm)/Si(111) substrates were obtained through a radio frequency (RF) magnetron sputtering method with a low sputtering power of 80 W. All of the experiments prove that the atom energy determined by sputtering power plays an important role in the orientated growth of the ZnFe204 thin films, and it matches well with HPT. The ZnFe2O4 thin films exhibit ferromagnetism with a magnetization of 84.25 ld/mol at room temperature, which is different from the bulk counterpart (antiferromagnetic as usual). The ZnFe204 thin films can be used as high-quality oriented inducing buffer layers for other spinel (Ni, Mn)Zn ferrite thin films and may have high potential in magnetic thin films-based devices. 展开更多

Polyaniline anode for zinc electrowinning from sulfate electrolytes

Polyaniline(Pani)anode is tested to highlight the feasibility of reduction of both energy consumption and capital costs in zinc electrowinning from sulfate solution without any modification to the existing plant.Current density,electrolyte temperature, added gelatin,added Mn 2+ ,oxygen-evolution potential,cell potential and long duration tests were investigated.The zinc deposits were also studied by means of scanning electron microscope(SEM)and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The results show that current density and added gelatin change the preferred crystal orientations of the zinc deposits.Compared with Pb-Ag(1%)anode used in industry,the cell voltage decreases by 0.15-0.30 V,energy consumption of Zn is 2.46-2.70 kW·h/kg which results in 20%energy savings.Long duration tests show that Pani anode can represent a good alterative ability for zinc electrowinning.Zinc deposits obtained have no Pb pollution.The additions of Mn2 +ions and gelatin also change the surface morphology and deposit quality of the electrodeposited zinc,affecting the crystal orientation.These researches demonstrate that Pani anode has distinct advantages over acidic electrowinning process. 展开更多

The relationship between property and structure of poly( p-phenylene terephthalamide)( PPTA) was investigated for the purpose of obtaining products with better performance. PPTA fiber subjected to heat treatment under different conditions was intensively studied. Simultaneous wide-angle X-ray diffraction( WAXD) technique was introduced to study the changes of crystal structure. It was found that the tensile modulus was strongly sensitive to the levels of temperature and tension. The structure parameters including crystal size and crystal orientation after heat treatment evolve similarly to the tensile modulus,indicating a direct structure-property relationship. The lattic c-dimension increases after heat treatment and is greatly affected by the tension. An optimal temperature can be found around 400 ℃,where big change can happen in the crystal structure due to α-relaxation in the crystal region as supported in dynamic mechanical analysis( DMA). 展开更多

Effects of Electropulsing Induced Microstructural Changes on THz-Reflection and Electrical Conductivity of Al-Doped ZnO Thin-Films

Electropulsing induced phase transformation and crystal orientation change and their effects on electrical conductivity, THz reflection and surface roughness of thin-films of Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> (2 wt%) doped ZnO were studied using XRD, SEM, AFM and Thz spectroscopy techniques. AZO-2 thin-films showed an effective response in THz spectroscopy under electropulsing. Electropulsing induced circular preferred crystal orientation changes and phase transformations were observed. The preferred crystal orientation changes accompanying decrease in stress and the secondary phase precipitation favored enhancing conductivity and THz reflection of the AZO-2 thin-films. After adequate electropulsing, both THz reflection and electrical conductivity of the thin-films were enhanced by 22.8% and 6.8%, respectively;meanwhile surface roughness reduced. The property responses of electropulsing are discussed from point view of microstructural change and dislocation dynamics. 展开更多

Significantly Enhanced Melt Memory Effect of Metallocene-made Isotactic Polypropylene Containing Talc

The melt memory effect is a widely observed phenomenon in semi-crystalline polymers. In practical applications, various additives are usually introduced into polymers, which may affect their melt memory behavior. In this work, the effect of talc on the melt memory effect of metallocene-made isotactic polypropylene(M-PP) was investigated in detail by using the differential scanning calorimetry. The results indicated that the introduction of talc significantly strengthened the melt memory effect of M-PP. Specifically, the upper limit temperature of Domain II increased from 161 ℃ to 174 ℃, resulting in a substantial widening of the temperature range of Domain IIa from 1 ℃ to 14 ℃. Analysis of the crystal orientation of the M-PP containing talc cooled from various Ts suggested that the remarkably enhanced melt memory effect could be ascribed to the stabilization of oriented nuclei facilitated by talc. This stabilizing effect was likely attributable to the prefreezing effect or the sorption interaction between talc and the M-PP chains. 展开更多
