Curriculum Development and Teachers for Cultivating OECD Student Agency in Japan:From an Examination of Educational Thought,Educational System,History,and Contemporary Science and Mathematics Education Practices

The purpose of this paper is to examine the development of a curriculum in Japan to foster the agency(OECD Student Agency)necessary for children living in the future,as outlined in the OECD Education2030 Project,and the role of teachers who implement this curriculum.Therefore,I aim to achieve this goal by taking an overview of educational thought,educational systems and history,and examining several initiatives in the OECD Project and the situation of a Japanese high school that practices science and mathematics education.As a result of analyzing previous research and the narratives obtained from interviews with Teacher A(pseudonym)of a certain F High School(pseudonym),it was found that school education should not simply teach subjects,but should aim to enable student to help student exercise agency in the future.It was suggested that it is not necessary to add content to the curriculum,but rather to prepare to provide students with competencies that will enable them to use the content in various contexts,situations,and circumstances,suggesting that in order to discover such important competencies,teachers and other related parties are required to implement curricula that allow students to slowly and carefully explore the competencies surrounding the content,and to conceive and build curricula that include both hidden and intended curriculum that allows student to reflect on the curriculum they have achieved.

Professional Development of Rural PE Teachers from the Perspective of PCK:A Case Study of Huaiji County

Based on the four dimensions of PCK,this paper investigates the professional development of rural PE teachers in Huaiji County by using the research methods of literature,questionnaire,interview and mathematical statistics.Based on PCK related theories,this paper analyzes the current situation of professional development of rural PE teachers in Huaiji County,explores the problems existing in the process of professional development,and provides an optimal path for the professional development of rural PE teachers,so as to improve the teaching ability and classroom quality of rural PE teachers,and promote the further development of rural PE education under the background of new curriculum reform.Through the research,it is found that the shortcomings of rural PE teachers are:lack of situational knowledge;lack of understanding of the course content;not flexible use of teaching representation;low ability to identify the differences of students learning styles;lack of understanding of social environment,etc.

Professional Development of County-level Physical Education Teachers from the Perspective of the New Curriculum Standards:A Case Study of Huaiji County

Using methods such as questionnaire survey and literature review,a survey was conducted on the professional development of physical education teachers in Huaiji County under the background of the new curriculum standards.The research results found that physical education teachers in Huaiji County have a relatively good distribution structure in terms of teaching experience,age,and education level,but the gender ratio and professional title ratio need to be improved.In terms of professional competence,teachers have shown good performance in teaching implementation ability,but there is still room for improvement in teaching design ability.A certain proportion of teachers still express dissatisfaction with professional title promotion,hardware configuration satisfaction,salary and benefits,and school reward mechanisms.Based on this,this study proposes some measures to improve the professional development level of county-level physical education teachers,such as enhancing teachers teaching design and implementation abilities,strengthening the cultivation of technical action demonstration abilities,improving hardware configuration satisfaction and teaching effectiveness reflection level,strengthening guidance and support for teachers professional development,and enhancing the promotion and implementation of post employment training.

Research on the Role of Guiding Students to Participate in Skills Competitions on the Development of Young Teachers in Vocational Colleges

This paper explores the role of guiding students to participate in skills competitions on the development of young teachers in vocational colleges.We investigate the impact of skills competitions on the consolidation of professional knowledge,development of innovation capabilities,improvement of hands-on abilities,and enhancement of communication skills with students.The results of this research demonstrate that skills competitions have a positive influence on the professional growth of young teachers.The consolidation of professional knowledge,development of innovation capabilities,improvement of hands-on abilities,and enhancement of communication skills collectively contribute to the effectiveness of young teachers in vocational colleges.It is recommended that vocational colleges prioritize and support the participation of young teachers in skills competitions to foster their professional development.

The Appeals,Dilemmas,and Pathways of Enabling Rural Teachers’Professional Development Through Emerging Technologies

With the rapid advancements in technology,especially in digitalization and intelligence,numerous modern technologies have poured into rural schools,effectively improving their informatization conditions.Nevertheless,these technologies remain detached from rural teachers,failing to significantly enhance the quality of education and teaching in rural areas.Rural education is a crucial aspect of ensuring balanced development in education.The question of how to enhance rural teachers’technological application abilities and fully leverage the positive role of technology in rural education and teaching has become a significant topic of current research on rural education issues.To better address this question,this study conducted a thorough examination of the specific appeals of rural teachers in the process of technology enablement.It was discovered that rural teachers generally face dilemmas such as insufficient technological application abilities,difficulties in obtaining quality teaching resources,and the lack of continuous technical support and update mechanisms.Based on these findings,specific pathways such as strengthening rural teacher training,optimizing the allocation of educational resources,and establishing mechanisms for continuous technical support and updates are proposed to aid in the high-quality development of rural education.

Exploration of Teaching Development Strategies for Double-Qualified Teachers in University- Affiliated Hospitals Based on Role Conflict Theory

This study draws on the classic theories and research achievements of university teacher development,and from the perspective of role conflict in social psychology,proposes policy recommendations for the development of clinical teachers in medical colleges,including following different stages of teacher development and designing teaching development strategies at different levels;designing the content and form of teaching development activities to meet the temporal and spatial needs of clinical teachers;and building an academic community for clinical teachers to promote the creation of teaching development behaviors.

An Exploration of Higher Vocational English Teachers’Professional Development on Students’Learning Ability in the Context of New Liberal Arts

Based on the Theory of Reasoned Action,this paper explores the influencing factors and countermeasures of teacher career development in private undergraduate institutions through questionnaire surveys.The study finds that teachers generally experience heavy workloads and time pressures,but most believe that the academic atmosphere and research activities at the school have a positive impact on their career development.The evaluation mechanisms and promotion channels are considered fair and effective,but there is still room for improvement.Teachers hold a positive attitude towards career development opportunities and promotion channels,but they perceive limited development space and promotion opportunities.Teachers’personal comprehensive qualities and abilities,as well as the development opportunities and support provided by the school,are considered key factors for career development.Disciplinary professional background,academic accumulation,research capabilities,and teacher collaboration and exchange have significant impacts on career development.Based on the findings,the following strategies are proposed:1)optimizing the work environment and reducing work pressure;2)fostering a positive academic atmosphere;3)improving evaluation mechanisms and promotion channels;4)providing continuous professional training and development support;and 5)strengthening the construction of disciplinary professional background and research capabilities.

Development characteristics and orientation of tight oil and gas in China

Through reviewing the development history of tight oil and gas in China,summarizing theoretical understandings in exploration and development,and comparing the geological conditions and development technologies objectively in China and the United States,we clarified the progress and stage of tight oil and gas exploration and development in China,and envisaged the future development orientation of theory and technology,process methods and development policy.In nearly a decade,relying on the exploration and development practice,science and technology research and management innovation,huge breakthroughs have been made.The laws of formation,distribution and accumulation of tight oil and gas have been researched,the development theories such as"multi-stage pressure drop"and"man-made reservoirs"have been established,and several technology series have been innovated and integrated.These technology series include enrichment regions selection,well pattern deployment,single well production and recovery factor enhancement,and low cost development.As a result,both of reserves and production of tight oil and gas increase rapidly.However,limited by the sedimentary environment and tectonic background,compared with North America,China’s tight oil and gas reservoirs are worse in continuity,more difficult to develop and poorer in economic efficiency.Moreover,there are still some gaps in reservoir identification accuracy and stimulating technology between China and North America.In the future,Chinese oil and gas companies should further improve the resource evaluation method,tackle key technologies such as high-precision 3D seismic interpretation,man-made reservoir,and intelligent engineering,innovate theories and technologies to enhance single well production and recovery rate,and actively endeavor to get the finance and tax subsidy on tight oil and gas.

Curriculum Innovation in Language Teacher Education:Reflections on the PGDELT Program’s Contributions to EFL Teachers’Continuing Professional Development

Initial teacher preparation and teachers’ continuing professional development are two significant pillars of the teacher education enterprise. The former encompasses a wide range of teachereducation initiatives at the levels of diploma, bachelor’s degree, postgraduate diploma, and even master’s degree for teacher licensure purposes. These are widely documented in the literature.What is important is how teacher professional development contributes to bolstering the teachereducator force, which is relatively insufficiently documented due to the very fact that different educational systems have somewhat different expectations of such programs in relation to the ideologies and theories underpinning the teacher professional development program design and curriculum offering. Taking stock of a postgraduate diploma program in English language teaching(PGDELT) for teachers’ continuing professional development with a 31-year history housed at a premier teacher education institution in Singapore, which has successfully graduated over 1, 000 English language teachers for colleges and universities in China, I intend to highlight some of its key features, as a former student and then a lecturer on the program, in order to draw implications for sustainable growth of language teacher education programs, especially those whose main purposes are to prepare teachers of English as a second or foreign language(ESL/EFL) and provide continuing professional development opportunities for such inservice teachers.

Needs analysis of professional development of middle school English teachers in rural areas of Western China： Take Gansu province as an example

Based on the questionnaires and interviews, this paper, in terms of target needs and learning needs, analyses the needs of professional development of the middle school English teachers in rural areas of western China. The analysis shows that all the subjects need to improve the Basic English language skills and knowledge. In-service training and retraining are the effective ways to help develop their professionalism, but due to the limitations of all kinds of obstacles, their learning needs cannot be met. Only by the concerted efforts by the society and the teachers themselves, the problems arising in their professional development can be solved.

An Approach to Detect Structural Development Defects in Object-Oriented Programs

Structural development defects essentially refer to code structure that violates object-oriented design principles. They make program maintenance challenging and deteriorate software quality over time. Various detection approaches, ranging from traditional heuristic algorithms to machine learning methods, are used to identify these defects. Ensemble learning methods have strengthened the detection of these defects. However, existing approaches do not simultaneously exploit the capabilities of extracting relevant features from pre-trained models and the performance of neural networks for the classification task. Therefore, our goal has been to design a model that combines a pre-trained model to extract relevant features from code excerpts through transfer learning and a bagging method with a base estimator, a dense neural network, for defect classification. To achieve this, we composed multiple samples of the same size with replacements from the imbalanced dataset MLCQ1. For all the samples, we used the CodeT5-small variant to extract features and trained a bagging method with the neural network Roberta Classification Head to classify defects based on these features. We then compared this model to RandomForest, one of the ensemble methods that yields good results. Our experiments showed that the number of base estimators to use for bagging depends on the defect to be detected. Next, we observed that it was not necessary to use a data balancing technique with our model when the imbalance rate was 23%. Finally, for blob detection, RandomForest had a median MCC value of 0.36 compared to 0.12 for our method. However, our method was predominant in Long Method detection with a median MCC value of 0.53 compared to 0.42 for RandomForest. These results suggest that the performance of ensemble methods in detecting structural development defects is dependent on specific defects.

The general point of the authors is that at the beginning of new century, Yanji will play a more important role in Tumen River Delta development, regional economy cooperation in Korea Peninsula as well as Northeast Asia, and it will develop to be an important central city in this area. This paper puts forwards Yanji City’s developing goal, urban nature, and urban size, probes its regional orientation, and further probes how to establish The Yanji Urban Economy Cooperation Zone. The authors think that Yanji should depend on its intellect resources and other characteristic resources. Industry development need to pay much attention to modern agriculture, tertiary industry (especially commerce, trade and tourism) and dominant industries, and high-tech industry must give a special care, in order to establish a light industrial structure.
