Design Method for Optimizing the Interactive Interface of Live Broadcasting Platform for the Elderly Users

In the era of network live broadcasting for everyone,the development of live broadcasting platforms is also more intelligent and diversified.However,in the face of a large group of elderly users,the interface interaction design mode used is still mainly based on the interaction mode for young groups,and is not designed for elderly users.Therefore,a design method for optimizing the interaction interface of live broadcasting platform for elderly users was proposed in this study.Firstly,the case study method and Delphi expert survey method were used to determine the design needs of elderly users and the design mode was analysed.Secondly,the orthogonal design principle was used to design a test sample of the interactive interface of live broadcasting platform applicable for the elderly users,and then a user evaluation system was established to calculate the weights of the design elements using hierarchical analysis,and then the predictive relationship between the design mode of the interactive interface of live broadcasting platform and the elderly users was established by Quantitative Theory I.Finally,Genetic Algorithm was applied to generate the optimized design scheme.The results showed that the design method based on the Genetic Algorithm and the combination of Quantitative Theory can scientifically and effectively optimize the design of the interactive interface of the live broadcasting platform for the elderly users,and improve the experience of the elderly users. 展开更多

Getting insight into the spatiotemporal distribution patterns of knowledge innovation is receiving increasing attention from policymakers and economic research organizations.Many studies use bibliometric data to analyze the popularity of certain research topics,well-adopted methodologies,influential authors,and the interrelationships among research disciplines.However,the visual exploration of the patterns of research topics with an emphasis on their spatial and temporal distribution remains challenging.This study combined a Space-Time Cube(STC)and a 3D glyph to represent the complex multivariate bibliographic data.We further implemented a visual design by developing an interactive interface.The effectiveness,understandability,and engagement of ST-Map are evaluated by seven experts in geovisualization.The results suggest that it is promising to use three-dimensional visualization to show the overview and on-demand details on a single screen. 展开更多

This paper proposes a novel approach for physical human-robot interactions(pHRI), where a robot provides guidance forces to a user based on the user performance. This framework tunes the forces in regards to behavior of each user in coping with different tasks, where lower performance results in higher intervention from the robot. This personalized physical human-robot interaction(p2HRI) method incorporates adaptive modeling of the interaction between the human and the robot as well as learning from demonstration(LfD) techniques to adapt to the users' performance. This approach is based on model predictive control where the system optimizes the rendered forces by predicting the performance of the user. Moreover, continuous learning of the user behavior is added so that the models and personalized considerations are updated based on the change of user performance over time. Applying this framework to a field such as haptic guidance for skill improvement, allows a more personalized learning experience where the interaction between the robot as the intelligent tutor and the student as the user,is better adjusted based on the skill level of the individual and their gradual improvement. The results suggest that the precision of the model of the interaction is improved using this proposed method,and the addition of the considered personalized factors to a more adaptive strategy for rendering of guidance forces. 展开更多

It has be come even more urgent to find solutions to improve resource utilization. From the per spective of a cloud consumer, a cloud applica tion processes a large information flow in volving user actions that access resources, but little work has so far been devoted to research from the perspective of the interaction be tween the user and the cloud application. In this paper, we analyze the interaction in detail, and propose a general mathematical interac tion model to formulate the challenge pertain ing to storage resource allocation as an opti mization problem, focusing on minimizing both the user's cost and server's consumption. A potential response mechanism is then de signed based on the interaction model. Fur thermore, the proposed model is used to ex plore strategies when multiple users access the same file simultaneously. Additionally, an improved queuing system, namely M/ G~ oo queue with standby, is introduced. Finally, an evaluation is presented to verify the interac- tion model. 展开更多

Background With an increasing number of products becoming digital,mobile,and networked,paying attention to the quality of interactions with such products is also becoming more relevant.Although the quality of such interactions has been addressed in several scientific studies,little attention has been paid to their implementation in real life and everyday contexts.Methods This paper describes the development of a novel office phone prototype,called YPhone,which demonstrates the application of a specific set of Generation Y interaction qualities(instantaneous,playful,collaborative,expressive,responsive,and flexible)in the context of office work.The working prototype supports office workers in experiencing new types of interactions.It was set out in practice through a series of evaluations.Results We found that the playful,expressive,responsive,and flexible qualities incur greater trust than the instantaneous and collaborative qualities.Such qualities can be grouped,although this may differ for different evaluated products,and researchers must be cautious about generalizations.Conclusions The overall evaluation was deemed positive,with some valuable suggestions provided regarding its user interactions and features. 展开更多

The Learning management system(LMS)is now being used for uploading educational content in both distance and blended setups.LMS platform has two types of users:the educators who upload the content,and the students who have to access the content.The students,usually rely on text notes or books and video tutorials while their exams are conducted with formal methods.Formal assessments and examination criteria are ineffective with restricted learning space which makes the student tend only to read the educational contents and videos instead of interactive mode.The aim is to design an interactive LMS and examination video-based interface to cater the issues of educators and students.It is designed according to Human-computer interaction(HCI)principles to make the interactive User interface(UI)through User experience(UX).The interactive lectures in the form of annotated videos increase user engagement and improve the self-study context of users involved in LMS.The interface design defines how the design will interact with users and how the interface exchanges information.The findings show that interactive videos for LMS allow the users to have a more personalized learning experience by engaging in the educational content.The result shows a highly personalized learning experience due to the interactive video and quiz within the video. 展开更多

Human computer interaction (HCI) and software engineering approaches are always taken into the account together in order to make the well-organized software. Interactive design is the significant part of new media which has been proposed to the world for the past decades, and it is a very proficient technique. Interactive maps add more dimensions of information;they become a more and more helpful tools and resources. This research clarifies the idea of how we can smooth the progress of presenting and communicating the essential information using interactive manner. The interactive map of Bangkok underground train and sky train navigation routes map was developed as the case study using user-centered design (UCD) methodology as the fundamental developing processes. The main objective of the work is to develop the friendly and usable web based software that reduce the confusion and help users save times. The software developing processes in this work tend to focus on the users. And also the essential idea of the research is to take the uses and gratification communication theory of the users into account with the intention of providing what user requires by finding the real users’ requirements. This means the user can control software according to their needs and software act or response according to user’s requests. As new power systems and dual carbon policies develop,virtual power plant cluster(VPPC)provides another reliable way to promote the efficient utilization of energy and solve environmental pollution problems.To solve the coordinated optimal operation and low-carbon economic operation problem in multi-virtual power plant,a multi-virtual power plant(VPP)electricity-carbon interaction optimal scheduling model considering integrated demand response(IDR)is proposed.Firstly,a multi-VPP electricity-carbon interaction framework is established.The interaction of electric energy and carbon quotas can realize energy complementarity,reduce energy waste and promote low-carbon operation.Secondly,in order to coordinate the multiple types of energy and load in VPPC to further achieve low-carbon operation,the IDR mechanism based on the user comprehensive satisfaction(UCS)of electricity,heat as well as hydrogen is designed,which can effectively maintain the UCS in the cluster within a relatively high range.Finally,the unit output scheme is formulated to minimize the total cost of VPPC and the model is solved using theCPLEX solver.The simulation results showthat the proposed method effectively promotes the coordinated operation among multi-VPP,increases the consumption rate of renewable energy sources and the economics of VPPC and reduces carbon emissions. 展开更多

Background With an increasing number of vehicles becoming autonomous,intelligent,and connected,paying attention to the future usage of car human-machine interface with these vehicles should become more relevant.Several studies have addressed car HMI but were less attentive to designing and implementing interactive glazing for every day(autonomous)driving contexts.Methods Reflecting on the literature,we describe an engineering psychology practice and the design of six novel future user scenarios,which envision the application of a specific set of augmented reality(AR)support user interactions.Additionally,we conduct evaluations on specific scenarios and experiential prototypes,which reveal that these AR scenarios aid the target user groups in experiencing a new type of interaction.The overall evaluation is positive with valuable assessment results and suggestions.Conclusions This study can interest applied psychology educators who aspire to teach how AR can be operationalized in a human-centered design process to students with minimal pre-existing expertise or minimal scientific knowledge in engineering psychology. 展开更多

大数据驱动的企业与用户互动创新已成为企业洞察市场和用户动态、提升创新敏捷性和适应性的重要模式,其关键因素和作用机制日益成为创新、营销和信息系统等领域的热点议题。结合系统性综述设计和关键词共现分析,梳理大数据情境下企业与... 大数据驱动的企业与用户互动创新已成为企业洞察市场和用户动态、提升创新敏捷性和适应性的重要模式,其关键因素和作用机制日益成为创新、营销和信息系统等领域的热点议题。结合系统性综述设计和关键词共现分析,梳理大数据情境下企业与用户互动创新的研究洞见。针对情境和工具如何影响领先用户与普通用户关系及二者的相互作用机制两个研究缺口,提出大数据驱动的企业与用户互动创新“条件—路径—绩效”理论框架。依据该理论框架,结合文献和案例证据,重点阐述在什么情境和工具条件下企业与领先用户、普通用户以何种互动创新路径影响创新产品和大数据合作资产,由此形成理论创新。分析结果表明,互动创新路径选择本质是在异质性情境和工具条件下,企业在创新新颖性—泛用性以及数据分析成本—收益之间的动态权衡;两类创新路径的动态变化由互动创新工具成熟度、创新主导权的变更所触发。最后,进一步提炼出大数据驱动的企业与用户互动创新理论研究的三类前沿课题,并讨论其理论和实践意义。 展开更多

已有的群组推荐模型,在求解用户表示时大多比较单调且仅简单利用用户间的社交关系,使得用户表示不够准确,并且大都未考虑用户共同意图以及社交关系对群组偏好的影响,导致推荐的项目很难符合用户的需求。基于此,提出一种结合用户共同意... 已有的群组推荐模型,在求解用户表示时大多比较单调且仅简单利用用户间的社交关系,使得用户表示不够准确,并且大都未考虑用户共同意图以及社交关系对群组偏好的影响,导致推荐的项目很难符合用户的需求。基于此,提出一种结合用户共同意图及社交关系的群组推荐模型(GR-UCISI)。首先构造用户-项目交互历史与社交关系相结合的用户意图分离模型,利用图神经网络采集每个用户的用户-项目交互以及社交关系信息,求解用户意图和项目表示;其次利用网络游走算法与K-means聚类算法将用户分组,结合用户群组、用户意图以及群组意图聚合过程获取群组共同意图表示;最后根据群组共同意图表示与项目表示得出群组推荐项目列表。该方法充分考虑到用户的个性以及群组成员间的共性对群组偏好的影响,同时结合社交关系缓解数据稀疏性问题,提升模型性能。实验结果表明,与9个对比模型中推荐效果最好的模型相比,在Gowalla数据集上,GR-UCISI的Precision和NDCG指标值分别提高3.01%和5.26%;在Yelp-2018数据集上,GR-UCISI的Precision和NDCG指标值分别提高2.96%和1.12%。 展开更多

基于“以用户为中心设计”理念的用户体验(UX)领域正在迈向智能时代,但是现有的UX范式主要针对非智能系统,缺乏针对智能系统UX的系统化方法。纵观UX的发展历程,UX范式呈现出跨技术时代的演进特征。当前,智能时代对UX范式提出了新要求。... 基于“以用户为中心设计”理念的用户体验(UX)领域正在迈向智能时代,但是现有的UX范式主要针对非智能系统,缺乏针对智能系统UX的系统化方法。纵观UX的发展历程,UX范式呈现出跨技术时代的演进特征。当前,智能时代对UX范式提出了新要求。为此,本文从UX范式出发,提出智能时代的“UX 3.0”范式框架以及相应的方法体系。“UX 3.0”范式框架包括五大类UX方法:生态化体验、创新赋能体验、AI赋能体验、人智交互体验、人智协同合作体验方法,其中每一类方法都包括相应的UX范式取向。“UX 3.0”范式的提出有助于提升现有UX方法,为智能系统UX研究和应用提供方法论支持。最后,本文展望“UX 3.0”范式今后的研究和应用。 展开更多
