The paper comparatively analyzes the image of landscapes in ancient water towns held by 1619 tourists after the investigations of Zbouzhuang and Tongli of Jiangsu Province. Based on the elements of the image of urban landscapes, the perceptual/cognitive image of tourist landscapes in water towns is developed including path, node, landmark, important courtyard, district and edge. Particularly the important courtyard plays the great role on the perceptive image of tourists, however, the perceptual/cognitive images of the district and the edge are obviously weak. Meanwhile, the finding showed that the affective images of tourist landscapes in Zhonzhuang differ with those of Tongli by the method of paired comparison. The main reason is that the affective images are influenced by the impressive scenery spots. Furthermore, the commercialization of streets and pollution of rivers are easy to be functioned negatively.展开更多
A statistical approach to evaluate the subjective perception of the annoyance caused by the vehicle noise was presented in this paper. After recording the noises of Sanfeng, Huali and Xiali at speeds of 30, 40, 50, 60...A statistical approach to evaluate the subjective perception of the annoyance caused by the vehicle noise was presented in this paper. After recording the noises of Sanfeng, Huali and Xiali at speeds of 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80 km/h respectively, the annoyance of the vehicle noises was evaluated in the testing room using paired comparison method, and the sound quality metrics and subjective annoyance were then distilled. Loudness, sharpness, roughness, periodicity and impulsiveness were selected for each of the vehicle noises. By correlation analysis method, it can be found that loudness has a higher correlation (0.91) with annoyance than other parameters. Meanwhile, sharpness, periodicity, roughness and impulsiveness have correlation with subjective perception with correlation coefficients being 0.84, -0.82, 0.62 and 0.87, respectively. The result of multiple regression analysis shows that calculated annoyance obtained by the regression equation can explain the perceptual annoyance and the regressed evaluation model is feasible to evaluate the sound quality of vehicle.展开更多

Wearable devices usually work together with smart phones.To ensure only legitimate smart phones can read the data,they must conduct pairing to establish a shared key.Traditional pairing methods require that the pairin...Wearable devices usually work together with smart phones.To ensure only legitimate smart phones can read the data,they must conduct pairing to establish a shared key.Traditional pairing methods require that the pairing devices have a keyboard or screen for user interaction.However,due to the size limitation,keyboards or screens are hard to be installed in the wearable devices.To solve this problem,we propose a novel pairing method by using ambient sound and light.In this new scheme,any pairing request from smart phone will trigger wearable device vibration.Only after users press the confirm key on the device can the pairing process continues.Then pairing devices collect ambient sound and light at the predetermined time and establish a shared key by using the Diffie-Hellman protocol.To protect against potential man-in-the-middle attacks in the key establishment process,an improved interlock protocol with sound and light comparison is conducted to authenticate the key.If both the sound and light collected by the pairing devices are similar enough,the key is accepted.Otherwise,it is rejected.Compared with current context based pairing methods,our scheme does not impose strict synchronization on devices to collect ambient context data.Moreover,our scheme need not collect and exchange contextual information for multiple times to resist offline brute force attacks.The experimental results and security analysis prove the effectiveness of our scheme.展开更多
