In order to understand the effect of hardening ductility parameters and softening ductility parameters of the concrete damage plastic model in LS-DYNA,a sensitivity and reliability analysis of these parameters through a convenient cube unit test was conducted. The results showed that the peak strength strain was independent of the hardening ductility parameter DH,but affected by AH,BH,and CH. The softening ductility was mainly related to the softening ductility parameter AS,but not affected by the damage ductility exponent BS. In case that the model with default parameters failed to match the AS-controlled damage softening phase,an optimized model with an AS correction was developed. The corrected model with the AS value of 2 matched well with the code model,and exhibited good feasibility in predicting the stress-strain curve of different grades of concrete. Moreover,the practicability of the corrected model was further validated by the conventional triaxial test. The simulated curve exhibited favorable consistence with the trial curve. Therefore,the model with parameter correction could provide a prospective reference for predicting the mechanical properties of concrete. 展开更多

Uncertainty assessment of potential evapotranspiration in arid areas, as estimated by the Penman-Monteith method 被引量:5

The Penman-Monteith(PM)method is the most widely used technique to estimate potential worldwide evapotranspiration.However,current research shows that there may be significant errors in the application of this method in arid areas,although questions remain as to the degree of this estimation error and how different surface conditions may affect the estimation error.To address these issues,we evaluated the uncertainty of the PM method under different underlying conditions in an arid area of Northwest China by analyzing data from 84 meteorological stations and various Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS)products,including land surface temperature and surface albedo.First,we found that when the PM method used air temperature to calculate the slope of the saturation vapor pressure curve,it significantly overestimated the potential evapotranspiration;the mean annual and July–August overestimation was 83.9 and 36.7 mm,respectively.Second,the PM method usually set the surface albedo to a fixed value,which led to the potential evapotranspiration being underestimated;the mean annual underestimation was 27.5 mm,while the overestimation for July to August was 5.3 mm.Third,the PM method significantly overestimated the potential evapotranspiration in the arid area.This difference in estimation was closely related to the underlying surface conditions.For the entire arid zone,the PM method overestimated the potential evapotranspiration by 33.7 mm per year,with an overestimation of 29.0 mm from July to August.The most significant overestimation was evident in the mountainous and plain nonvegetation areas,in which the annual mean overestimation reached 5%and 10%,respectively;during July,there was an estimation of 10%and 20%,respectively.Although the annual evapotranspiration of the plains with better vegetation coverage was slightly underestimated,overestimation still occurred in July and August,with a mean overestimation of approximately 5%.In order to estimate potential evapotranspiration in the arid zone,it is important that we identify a reasonable parameter with which to calibrate the PM formula,such as the slope of the saturation vapor pressure curve,and the surface albedo.We recommend that some parameters must be corrected when using PM in order to estimate potential evapotranspiration in arid regions. 展开更多

A WAVEWATCH III version 3.14(WW3) wave model is used to evaluate input/dissipation source term packages WAM3, WAM4 and TC96 considering the effect of atmospheric instability. The comparisons of a significant wave height acquired from the model with different packages have been performed based on wave observation radar and HY-2 altimetry significant wave height data through five experiments in the South China Sea domain spanning latitudes of 0°–35°N and longitudes of 100°–135°E. The sensitivity of the wind speed correction parameter in the TC96 package also has been analyzed. From the results, the model is unable to dissipate the wave energy efficiently during a swell propagation with either source packages. It is found that TC96 formulation with the "effective wind speed" strategy performs better than WAM3 and WAM4 formulations. The wind speed correction parameter in the TC96 source package is very sensitive and needs to be calibrated and selected before the WW3 model can be applied to a specific region. 展开更多

In this paper,a third-generation dry gas-to-ethylbenzene process in a factory of PetroChina is considered.For the gradual catalyst deactivation in the alkylation reactor,a model is established with the parameters estimated from the reaction rate equation of alkylation based on the on-site data and those from laboratory analysis. The real-time dynamic simulation of the alkylation process is carried out,in which the module accuracy is ensured by using OPC(Object linking and embedding for Process Control)technique and adaptive correction of model parameters.Both the current and future operation temperature can be predicted. 展开更多

Purpose–In view of the difficulty in determining the key parameters d in the Corten-Dolan model,based on the introduction of small loads,damage degrees and stress states to the Corten-Dolan model and the existing improved model,the sequential effects of the adjacent two-stage load were further considered.Design/methodology/approach–Two improved Corten-Dolan models were established on the basis of modifying the parameter d by two different methods,namely,increasing stress ratio coefficient as well as considering the effects of loading sequence and damage degree as independent influencing factors respectively.According to the test data of the welded joints of common materials(standard 45 steel),alloy materials(standard 16Mn steel)and Q235B steel,the validity and feasibility of the above two improved models for fatigue life prediction were verified.Findings–Results show that,compared with the traditional Miner model and the existing Corten-Dolan improved model,the two improved models have higher prediction accuracy in the fatigue life prediction of welding materials whether under two-stage load or multi-stage load.Originality/value–Because the mathematical expressions of the models are relatively simple and need no multi-layer iterative calculation,it is convenient to predict the fatigue life of welded structure in practical engineering. 展开更多

The aim of this study is to propose a photovoltaic(PV)module simulation model with high accuracy under practical working conditions and strong applicability in the engineering field to meet various PV system simulation needs.Unlike previous model-building methods,this study combines the advantages of analytical and metaheuristic algorithms.First,the applicability of various metaheuristic algorithms is comprehensively compared and the seven parameters of the PV cell under standard test conditions are extracted using the double diode model,which verifies that the artificial hummingbird algorithm has higher accuracy than other algorithms.Then,the seven parameters under different conditions are corrected using the analytical method.In terms of the correc-tion method,the ideal factor correction is added on the basis of previous methods to solve the deviation between simulated data and measured data in the non-linear section.Finally,the root mean squared error between the simulated current data and the measured current data of the proposed model under three different temperatures and irradiance is 0.0697,0.0570 and 0.0289 A,respectively. 展开更多

Smart grids are increasingly dependent on data with the rapid development of communication and measurement.As one of the important data sources of smart grids,phasor measurement unit(PMU)is facing the high risk from attacks.Compared with cyber attacks,global position system(GPS)spoofing attacks(GSAs)are easier to implement because they can be exploited by portable devices,without the need to access the physical system.Therefore,this paper proposes a novel method for pattern recognition of GSA and an additional function of the proposed method is the data correction to the phase angle difference(PAD)deviation.Specifically,this paper analyzes the effect of GSA on PMU measurement and gives two common patterns of GSA,i.e.,the step attack and the ramp attack.Then,the method of estimating the PAD deviation across a transmission line introduced by GSA is proposed,which does not require the line parameters.After obtaining the estimated PAD deviations,the pattern of GSA can be recognized by hypothesis tests and correlation coefficients according to the statistical characteristics of the estimated PAD deviations.Finally,with the case studies,the effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated,and the success rate of the pattern recognition and the online performance of the proposed method are analyzed. 展开更多
