The stability of Non-Linear Feedback Shift Registers(NFSRs)plays an important role in the cryptographic security.Due to the complexity of nonlinear systems and the lack of efficient algebraic tools,the theorems related to the stability of NFSRs are still not well-developed.In this paper,we view the NFSR with periodic inputs as a Boolean control network.Based on the mathematical tool of semi-tensor product(STP),the Boolean network can be mapped into an algebraic form.Through these basic theories,we analyze the state space of non-autonomous NFSRs,and discuss the stability of an NFSR with periodic inputs of limited length or unlimited length.The simulation results are provided to prove the efficiency of the model.Based on these works,we can provide a method to analyze the stability of the NFSR with periodic input,including limited length and unlimited length.By this,we can efficiently reduce the computational complexity,and its efficiency is demonstrated by applying the theorem in simulations dealing with the stability of a non-autonomous NFSR. 展开更多

Using the linear approximation method, we study a single-mode laser system driven by colored pump noise and quantum noise with coupling between the real and imaginary parts when the laser is operated well above threshold. The steady state mean intensity fluctuation C(0) and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) are calculated. It is found that there is a maximum in SNR when there is a minimum in the fluctuation of laser system if the coupling coefficient between real and imaginary parts of the quantum noise equals zero. 展开更多

The model is also suitable to ATM and other rate-based communication systems. In respect to the rate-based speciality, a periodical input is considered as the system' s controller. Then some results in utilization, stability and congestion have been obtained. By use of them, we design an algorithm which integrates routing, resource allocation and flow control into a closed-loop architecture. It is adaptive and solves the prob-lem of congestion and uneven resource utilization. It also succeeds in controlling delay and delay jitter. 展开更多
