In this study, phosphate based glass system with composition of 48P2O5-12B2O3-(25-X)MgO-14CaO-1Na2O-(X)Fe2O3 (X = 6, 8, 10) and 45P2O5-(Y)B2O3-(32-Y)MgO-14CaO-1Na2O-8Fe2O3 (Y = 12, 15, 20), was prepared via a melting quenching process. The effect of replacing MgO with Fe2O3 and B2O3 on the structural, thermal, degradation properties of phosphate based glass was investigated. Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy analysis confirmed the polymerisation of phosphate based glass network with addition of Fe2O3, thus the processing window was observed to increase whilst the dissolution rate was reduced, attributed to the formation of Fe-O-P cross-link. As the effect on the glass structure stability was demonstrated by both B2O3 and MgO, the nonlinear variation of thermal stability and degradation behaviour was observed for glass system with substitution of MgO by B2O3. However, due to the lower dissolution rate of glass system when compared to the biocompatible phosphate based glass in preliminary study, the expected cytocompatibility could be confirmed in the downstream activities.展开更多

The measured results show that the maximum efficiency and the maximum output power are 2% and 194μW at 348 GHz. The saturation characteristic test shows that the output i dB compression point is about -8.5 dBm at 334 GHz and the maximum efficiency is obtained at the point, which is slightly below the 1 dB compression point. Compared with the conventional hybrid integrated circuit, a major advantage of the monolithic integrated circuit is the significant improvement of reliability and consistency. In this work, a terahertz monolithic frequency multiplier at this band is designed and fabricated.展开更多
Ti-containing phosphate( Ti-P-O ) catalysts with different molar ratios of P to Ti (0--2. 0 ) were synthesized and characterized by XRD, N2-adsorption/desorption, IR and temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) m...Ti-containing phosphate( Ti-P-O ) catalysts with different molar ratios of P to Ti (0--2. 0 ) were synthesized and characterized by XRD, N2-adsorption/desorption, IR and temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) methods. The catalytic properties of Ti-P-O samples in the vapor-phase O-methylation of catechol with methanol were also studied. The catechol conversion increases with the increase of the molar ratio of P to Ti in a range of 0-0. 33, while a further increase in the P content leads to a decrease of the catalytic activity. Meanwhile, the selectivities of the catalysts to the main product(guaiacol) increase gradually with the increase of the molar ratio of P to Ti. The presence of relatively strong Lewis acidic and/or basic sites in the P-free catalyst should be responsible for the formation of C-alkylation products. The weak acid-base characteristics of the catalysts are favourable for the mono-O-methylation of catechol. In comparison with the Lewis acidic sites, the Bronsted acidic sites on the catalysts are more active for the title reaction.展开更多

The thrce-dimensional (3D) scaffold can provide not only physical properties such as high strength and porosity hut also an optimal environment to enhance tissue regeneration. Sphingosine 1-phosphate (SIP), an angiogenlc factor, was loaded into mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) and then incorporated into poly ( L-lactic add ) ( PLLA ) nanofibrons scaffold, which was fabricated by thermally induced phase separation (TIPS) method. The prepared scaffolds were examined by attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR), scanning electron microscopy ( SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and compressive mechanical test. The ATR-FTIR result demonstrated the existence of MSNs in the PLLA nanofibrous scaffold. The SEM images showed that PLLA scaffold had regular pore channel, interconnected pores and nanofibrous structure. The addition of MSNs at appropriate content had no visible effect on the structure of scaffold. The compressive modulus of scaffold containing MSNs was higher than that of the scaffold without MSNs. Furthermore, fluorescein isothiocyanate (FTTC) was used as model molecule to investigate the release behavior of SIP from MSNs- incorporated PLLA (MSNs/PLLA) nanofibrons scaffold. The result showed that the composite scaffold largely reduced the initial burst release and exhibited prolonged release of FITC than MSNs. Thus, these results indicated that SIP-loaded composite uanofibrons scaffold has potential applications for bone tissue engneering.展开更多

The elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility and thermogravimetry have been determined for the solid complex of HEH(EH)P-Mn(II) and the infrared spectrum has been carried out in comparison to the extractant HEH(EH)P. The extracted compound has also been studied by electronic and electron spin resonance spectroscopy in octane solvent and solid state at room temperature. On the basis of the measurements, it is concluded that the structure of the solid polymeric species MnA_2 is in a tetrahedral arrangement.展开更多

Radioactive fluoride wastes are generated during the operation of molten salt reactors(MSRs) and reprocessing of their spent fuel.Immobilization of these wastes in borosilicate glass is not feasible because of the ver...Radioactive fluoride wastes are generated during the operation of molten salt reactors(MSRs) and reprocessing of their spent fuel.Immobilization of these wastes in borosilicate glass is not feasible because of the very low solubility of fluorides in this host.Alternative candidates are thus an active topic of research including phosphatebased glasses,crystalline ceramics,and hybrid glass-ceramic systems.In this study,mixed fluorides were employed as simulated MSRs waste and incorporated into sodium aluminophosphate glass to obtain phosphate-based waste form.These waste forms were characterized by X-ray diffraction,Raman spectroscopy,and scanning electron microscopy.Leaching tests were performed in deionized water using the product consistency test A method.This study demonstrates that up to 20 mol%of simulated radioactive waste can be introduced into the NaA1 P glass matrix,and the chemical durability is much better than that of borosilicate.The addition of Fe_2O_3 in the NaAlP glass matrix results in increases of the chemical durability at the expense of fluoride loading(to 6.4 mol%).Phosphate glass vitrification of radioactive waste containing fluorides is a potential method to treat and dispose of MSR wastes.展开更多

文摘Radioactive fluoride wastes are generated during the operation of molten salt reactors(MSRs) and reprocessing of their spent fuel.Immobilization of these wastes in borosilicate glass is not feasible because of the very low solubility of fluorides in this host.Alternative candidates are thus an active topic of research including phosphatebased glasses,crystalline ceramics,and hybrid glass-ceramic systems.In this study,mixed fluorides were employed as simulated MSRs waste and incorporated into sodium aluminophosphate glass to obtain phosphate-based waste form.These waste forms were characterized by X-ray diffraction,Raman spectroscopy,and scanning electron microscopy.Leaching tests were performed in deionized water using the product consistency test A method.This study demonstrates that up to 20 mol%of simulated radioactive waste can be introduced into the NaA1 P glass matrix,and the chemical durability is much better than that of borosilicate.The addition of Fe_2O_3 in the NaAlP glass matrix results in increases of the chemical durability at the expense of fluoride loading(to 6.4 mol%).Phosphate glass vitrification of radioactive waste containing fluorides is a potential method to treat and dispose of MSR wastes.

Experimental calcium phosphate biomaterials include CO3^- and F-substituted apatites, Mg-and Zn-substituted β-TCP, calcium phosphate glasses, This paper is a brief review of the different types of CaP biomaterials and their properties such as bioactivity , osteoconductivity , osteoinductivity.
文摘Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate(NADPH) oxidase is the main source of ROS(intracellular reactive oxygen species), ROS plays an important role in a variety of tumor, the ROS mediated by NADPH oxidase increase the expression of hypoxia inducing factor alpha(HIF-α) through multiple signaling pathways in tumor, and HIFcould be regulated and controlled by downstream multiple targeted genes such as vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF), glucose transporter(GLUT) to promote tumor angiogenesis, cell energy metabolism reprogram and tumor metastasis.HIF-α, meanwhile, also can regulate the expression of NADPH oxidase by ROS, thus further promote development of tumor.In this review, we will summarize the functions of NADPH in tumorigenesis and discuss their potential implications in cancer therapy.
