NMDA receptor channels play a significant role in learning and memory and their dysfunction can cause neuronal cell death leading to dementia. Research had shown that lipids change the risk for dementia, especially some omega-3 lipids appear to lower Alz-heimer’s risk, yet only limited research exists on the modulation of NMDA receptor channels by lipids. Here we review recent literature concerning molecular determinants that influence the NMDA receptor channel gating via membrane lipids and fatty acids with profound significance for understanding how altered NMDA signalling leads to neuronal cell death linked to age-related dementia’s. Future discovery of lipid-like modulators of NMDA receptor function offer the potential for the development of new bioceu-ticals and affordable nutritional supplements to combat neuronal degeneration as well as to promote well being and healthy aging. 展开更多

红毛草不同程度入侵区土壤微生物群落结构和部分理化指标的比较及其相关性分析 被引量:4

采用磷脂脂肪酸(PLFAs)分析法比较了红毛草〔Rhynchelytrum repens(Willd.)C.E.Hubb.〕非入侵区、轻度入侵区和重度入侵区土壤微生物群落结构的差异,并对不同程度入侵区土壤部分理化指标的差异进行比较;在此基础上,对土壤中不同类型微... 采用磷脂脂肪酸(PLFAs)分析法比较了红毛草〔Rhynchelytrum repens(Willd.)C.E.Hubb.〕非入侵区、轻度入侵区和重度入侵区土壤微生物群落结构的差异,并对不同程度入侵区土壤部分理化指标的差异进行比较;在此基础上,对土壤中不同类型微生物含量与部分理化指标的相关性进行分析。结果表明:在不同程度入侵区土壤中共检测到37种微生物,包括28种细菌、4种放线菌、4种真菌和1种原生动物,其中,细菌含量最高。6种微生物的PLFAs含量较高,且它们在3类入侵区均有分布;27种微生物的PLFAs含量较低,且它们在3类入侵区也均有分布;4种微生物的PLFAs含量较低,且它们仅分布在个别入侵区。随红毛草入侵程度加剧,土壤中细菌、真菌和原生动物的含量均逐渐升高,且它们在重度入侵区土壤中的含量分别较非入侵区增高11.34%、19.60%和13.95%;并且,土壤中的微生物种类也逐渐升高。随着红毛草入侵程度的加剧,土壤的过氧化氢酶活性逐渐下降,蔗糖酶和脲酶活性以及p H值和含水量均逐渐升高,而纤维素酶活性变化较小;与非入侵区相比,重度入侵区土壤的过氧化氢酶活性下降59.27%,而蔗糖酶和脲酶活性以及p H值和含水量分别升高73.71%、68.60%、15.09%和32.95%。相关性分析结果表明:土壤中的细菌含量与过氧化氢酶、蔗糖酶和脲酶活性以及p H值和含水量均存在极显著相关性(P<0.01),相关系数分别为-0.909、0.864、0.868、0.836和0.889;土壤中的真菌含量与过氧化氢酶活性存在显著负相关(P<0.05),与蔗糖酶活性和p H值存在极显著正相关,相关系数分别为-0.739、0.868和0.832。研究结果显示:红毛草能够改变土壤的微生物群落结构及理化性质,使土壤条件更利于红毛草的生长。 展开更多

采用气相、液相色谱法和分光光度比色法,对筛选出的低糖适应性耐冻面包酵母BY-03和FY-03与普通高糖面包酵母(PT)细胞构成成分,即胞内海藻糖含量,脂肪酸组成,麦角固醇,磷脂和氨基酸组成进行了分析与比较,进而了解其对酵母耐冻性的影响。... 采用气相、液相色谱法和分光光度比色法,对筛选出的低糖适应性耐冻面包酵母BY-03和FY-03与普通高糖面包酵母(PT)细胞构成成分,即胞内海藻糖含量,脂肪酸组成,麦角固醇,磷脂和氨基酸组成进行了分析与比较,进而了解其对酵母耐冻性的影响。结果表明,FY-03海藻糖含量是PT含量的1.40倍,BY-03的海藻糖含量与PT含量基本持平。从3种酵母中皆检出18种氨基酸,其中有助于提高酵母耐冻性的3种带电荷氨基酸即精氨酸,脯氨酸和谷氨酸的含量,BY-03和FY-03均高于PT。从3种酵母中检出了8种饱和与不饱和的脂肪酸,其中BY-03、FY-03的不饱和脂肪酸比例分别为79.82%和78.62%,明显高于PT64.96%,其中棕榈油酸C16∶1和油酸C18∶1的含量相差较大。麦角固醇的含量BY-03和FY-03分别为4.99mg/g和4.77mg/g显著高于PT的2.56mg/g,而三者的磷脂含量没有明显差别。 展开更多

Maintaining soil fertility, while controlling pollution from excessive chemical fertilizer application is important for keeping soil productivity of sustainable agriculture. Variety of straws have been used and proven to be good soil amendments for increasing soil organic matter (OM) and a range of additional soil nutrients. However, little is known about the utilization of cotton straw for soil amendment. To better understand the mechanism behind cotton straw soil amendments, investigations were performed upon cucumber seedlings, where changes to soil nutrients and microbial communities were investigated. The results revealed that the cotton straw application promoted the cucumber seedling growth by significantly increasing the soil OM, available nitrogen, available phosphorus, and available potassium. The concentration of cotton straw was positively correlated to both the number of the culturable microorganisms and also the total microbial biomass within soil. Furthermore, assessment of cotton straw application using Biolog metabolic profiling and phospholipid fatty acid analysis revealed that such application increased the microbial community metabolic activity, and markedly changed the structure of microbial community. 16S rRNA gene clone library construction and phylogenetic analysis of soil bacteria revealed 7- Proteobacteria sequences dominated the cotton straw amendment soil, comprising 27.8% of the total number of analyzed sequences, while they were less represented in control soil (13.4%). On the contrary, the Sphingobacteria (7.8%) and Verrucomicrobia (2.4%) in the cotton straw amendment soil decreased after application when compared to the control soil 15.2% and 15.2%. 展开更多
