The track model is described as an upper Euler beam to si...The dynamic responses of a slab track on transversely isotropic saturated soils subjected to moving train loads are investigated by a semi-analytical approach. The track model is described as an upper Euler beam to simulate the rails and a lower Euler beam to model the slab. Rail pads between the rails and slab are represented by a continuous layer of springs and dashpots. A series of point loads are formulated to describe the moving train loads. The governing equations of track-ground systems are solved using the double Fourier transform, and the dynamic responses in the time domain are obtained by the inverse Fourier transform. The results show that a train load with high velocity will generate a larger response in transversely isotropic saturated soil than the lower velocity load, and special attention should be paid on the pore pressure in the vicinity of the ground surface. The anisotropic parameters of a surface soil layer will have greater influence on the displacement and excess pore water pressure than those of the subsoil layer. The traditional design method taking ground soil as homogeneous isotropic soil is unsafe for the case of RE 〈 1 and RG 〈 1, so a transversely isotropic foundation model is of great significance to the design for high train velocities.展开更多
We propose a high-performance path planning algorithm for automatic target tracking in the applications of real-time simulation and visualization of large-scale terrain datasets, with a large number of moving objects ...We propose a high-performance path planning algorithm for automatic target tracking in the applications of real-time simulation and visualization of large-scale terrain datasets, with a large number of moving objects (such as vehicles) tracking multiple moving targets. By using a modified Dijkstra's algorithm, an optimal path between each vehicle-target pair over a weighted grid-presented terrain is computed and updated to eliminate the problem of local minima and losing of tracking. Then, a dynamic path re-planning strategy using multi-resolution representation of a dynamic updating region is proposed to achieve high-performance by trading-off precision for efficiency, while guaranteeing accuracy. Primary experimental results showed that our algorithm successfully achieved l0 to 96 frames per second interactive path-replanning rates during a terrain simulation scenario with 10 to 100 vehicles and multiple moving targets.展开更多

Motivated by the vehicle's steering practice, the yaw angle regarded as a virtual control plus the surge thrust force are used to force the position of the vehicle to globally track its reference trajectory. The control design is based on several recent results developed for inverse optimal control and stability analysis of nonlinear systems, a new design of bounded disturbance observers, and backstepping and Lyapunov's direct methods. Both state- and output-feedback control designs are addressed. Simulations are included to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.展开更多

The tracked object is the statistical information of a given target probability density function (PDF), rather than a deterministic signal. Following B-spline approximation to the integrated performance function, the concerned problem is transferred into the tracking of given weights. Different from the previous related works, the time delay T-S fuzzy models with the exogenous disturbances are applied to identify the nonlinear weighting dynamics. Meanwhile, the generalized PID controller structure and the improved convex linear matrix inequalities (LMI) algorithms are proposed to fulfil the tracking problem. Furthermore, in order to enhance the robust performance, the peak-to-peak measure index is applied to optimize the tracking performance. Compared with the technique used in other articles, the errors between the first estimated value and the true state value of the estimated variable are not strictly required. In early stages of myocardial affection, the left ventricle (LV) appears appa...Background and Objective: Wilson’s disease is a genetic disorder of copper metabolism that affects liver and other organs including heart. In early stages of myocardial affection, the left ventricle (LV) appears apparently normal when evaluated by traditional two-dimensional (2D) echocardiography. The aim of this study was to detect subclinical LV dysfunction in children with Wilson’s disease using 2D speckle tracking echocardiography. Patients and Methods: Twenty children with Wilson’s disease were compared with age- and sex-matched 20 healthy children. All subjects were evaluated by traditional 2D echocardiography and speckle tracking echocardiography. Results: There were no significant differences between patients and controls regarding conventional echo parameters except for lower E mitral flow and E' annular septal peak velocity in patient group. The regional peak longitudinal strain of apical 4 chamber view was -17.8% ± 4.2% in patients and -20.1% ± 2.3 % in control subjects (P = 0.043), and for apical 2 chambers view, it was -20.1%± 3.6% in patients and -22.6% ± 3.4% in control subjects (P = 0.034) and it was -18% ± 3.5% in patients and -20.5% ± 3.2% in control subjects (P = 0.025) in apical long axis view. The global peak longitudinal strain was also lower in patients than control group (18.3% ± 3.2%, and 20.85% ± 2.4%) respectively (P = 0.014). There were no significant differences between both groups regarding circumferential and radial strains (P > 0.05). Conclusions: Despite apparently normal LV systolic function, the children with Wilson’s disease demonstrated significantly lower peak longitudinal strain as an indicator for early affection of LV systolic function.展开更多

Objective To reveal the mechanism of Huangjing pill in treating Alzheimer’s disease(AD)based on network pharmacology and molecular docking technology.Methods We obtained the active ingredients and targets of Huangjin...Objective To reveal the mechanism of Huangjing pill in treating Alzheimer’s disease(AD)based on network pharmacology and molecular docking technology.Methods We obtained the active ingredients and targets of Huangjing pill through Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform,and supplemented the effective components by consulting literature and predicted targets through the PharmMapper database.We used DrugBank,the GeneCards,the TTD,and the OMIM database to collect targets of AD.The Venn diagram was drawn and the key targets of Huangjing pill in the treatment of AD were obtained by Venny 2.1 platform.The Cytoscape 3.8.1 software was used to construct a network diagram of“drugs-active ingredients-key targets-disease”.The protein-protein interaction(PPI)network diagram was constructed through the STRING 11.5 database.DAVID database was used for Gene Ontology function and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway enrichment analysis.AutoDock Vina1.1.2 software was used for molecular docking of the active components and core targets,and PyMOL 1.7.2.1 software was used for visual processing.Results After screening,we obtained 13 active ingredients and 116 targets of Huangjing Pill,1438 related targets for AD,and 75 common targets.566 items by GO enrichment analysis and 149 items related to KEGG pathway enrichment were obtained.Molecular docking results showed that there is a strong affinity between the key active ingredients and the core targets.Conclusion This study revealed that Huangjing pill could treat AD through multiple components,multiple targets and multiple pathways.展开更多

A simplified nonlinear mathematical model is first employed to represent a midwater trawl system, and then a T-S fuzzy model is adopted to approximate the nonlinear system. Since the strong nonlinearities and the external disturbance of the trawling system, a mixed H2/H∞ fuzzy output tracking control strategy via T-S fuzzy system is proposed to regulate the trawl depth to follow a desired trajectory. The trawl depth can be regulated by adjusting the winch velocity automatically and the tracking error can be minimized according to the robust optimal criterion. In order to validate the proposed control method, a computer simulation is conducted. The simulation results indicate that the proposed fuzzy robust optimal controller make the trawl net rapidly follow the desired trajectory under the model uncertainties and the extemal disturbance caused by wave and current.展开更多

After a- nalysis, it was found that the casing satisfied the Mises ' yield condition; however, the stress distribution was hetero- geneous, and stresses near the bearing saddle bores of the casing were higher while those in other regions were much less than the allowable stress. For this reason, thicknesses of the casing wall on bearing assembling holes needed in- creasing, while those in other places can decrease. After much structural improving and re-analysis, the optimal casing design was found, and its weight decreased by 5% ; the casing still satisfied the Mises yield criterion and the stress distribution was more homogeneous.展开更多

Yes, we have had revolutions against the disciplinary apparatus and legal devices of power (schools, hospitals, prisons) and we have had examples of revolutions against the economic foundations of social inequality, but there has never been a genuine revolution against pastoral power as a power relating to the conduct of individuals (but also entire social groups) and their disposition to “voluntary submission” to the will of external authorities. In my paper, I would like to reflect on this thesis, and taking it quite seriously, to look for examples of such revolutions. One of them is a women’s strike in Poland during the power of the conservative government of “Law and Justice”. Mainly referring to the texts of Silvia Federici and Paul Preciado, I will want to reflect on contemporary practices of reclaiming the body in contemporary capitalism. I will defend the thesis that regaining control over sexuality and reproduction means changing the material conditions of life and modern reproductive technologies.展开更多

Yes, we have had revolutions against the disciplinary apparatus and legal devices of power (schools, hospitals, prisons) and we have had examples of revolutions against the economic foundations of social inequality, but there has never been a genuine revolution against pastoral power as a power relating to the conduct of individuals (but also entire social groups) and their disposition to “voluntary submission” to the will of external authorities. In my paper, I would like to reflect on this thesis, and taking it quite seriously, to look for examples of such revolutions. One of them is a women’s strike in Poland during the power of the conservative government of “Law and Justice”. Mainly referring to the texts of Silvia Federici and Paul Preciado, I will want to reflect on contemporary practices of reclaiming the body in contemporary capitalism. I will defend the thesis that regaining control over sexuality and reproduction means changing the material conditions of life and modern reproductive technologies.
