The economic and social progress under the new era has put forward new requirements for logistics talents.Based on the teaching concept of OBE-CDIO as well as the training program and objectives of logistics management major in Guangzhou Maritime University,this study analyzes and discusses how the Logistics System Planning and Design course,which is targeted at students majoring in logistics management,enables the students to meet the graduation requirements by virtue of realizing the course objectives.

Teaching by Principles:A Case Teaching Plan of ELT

Since the early 20th century, Chinese ELT teachers and researchers have been seeking the best method for ELT. Different methods have been introduced, tried out and found unsatisfactory. In teaching practice, many have come to favor that although no single ELT method can meet all teaching and learning needs, many ELT methods have valuable insights into ELT that should be drawn on. However, teachers need a set of principles to adapt their teaching procedure to the specific circumstances. This paper, through a case teaching plan, presents how to apply varies teaching methods to design teaching plan under the guide of teaching principles.

Under "Integration of Doing, Learning and Teaching", Research on the Project-Based Teaching Innovation of "Landscape Planning and Design"

Based on the research on the project course theory of "integration of theory and practice" in higher vocational education and the analysis of practical teaching in colleges and universities at home and abroad, combined with literature research, case analysis, system theory and other research methods, the project-based teaching goal, model, content and means of "integration of doing, learning and teaching" in higher vocational education is explored, and the project-based teaching model of "Landscape Planning and Design" is discussed combined with the application of information-based teaching methods. So as to provide references for carrying out the project-based teaching in similar courses in higher vocational colleges and really achieve docking the actual post requirements with the course to provide the basis for achieving the purpose of cultivating skilled talents in higher vocational education.

The Podcast as an Innovative Urban Planning Teaching Tool: Soft and Hard Skills between Discipline and Professional Identity

The expression didactic innovation has recently assumed an implicit reference to Distance Learning.For scholars,however,it was above all the critical questioning on learning models.The article explores the use of the podcast as a stimulus for engineering students to achieve new soft skills:to learn multidisciplinary contents related to planning and to acquire professional competences in digital aspects and feedbacks attribution.Experience took place over two years:this gave the opportunity to compare the activity carried out totally in presence and totally remotely(through online lessons and reviews),to draw from them issues for discussion and future implementations.

Assess the Level of Occupational Stress and to Evaluate the Effectiveness of Planned Teaching Programme on Knowledge Regarding Occupational Stress and Its Management among Security Guards of a Selected Organization, Shimoga, Karnataka

Background and aim: Occupational stress occurs when there is a disequilibrium between job demands and capabilities. Being employed as a security guard exposes the subject to potentially dangerous situations. Security guards are engaged in a profession that confronts violators of the law as well as violence and thus are more likely to be exposed to traumatic experiences. So it is very important to assess the level of stress they possess and make them aware of the harmful effects and how to manage it. Hence, there is a need to assess the level of occupational stress and to evaluate the effectiveness of PTP on knowledge regarding occupational stress and its management among security guards of a selected organization, Shimoga, Karnataka. Results: Demonstrated that the majority of the security guards were having a moderate level of occupational stress. Among 80 security guards, 59 (74%) were having a moderate level of occupational stress, 21 (26%) were having a severe level of occupational stress and none of them possessed a mild level of occupational stress. Conclusion: This study contributes to the emerging body of knowledge about occupational stress in their security profession and it is important to plan the healthy coping strategies to cope up with their occupational stress.

The Way to Improve the Teaching Quality of the Special English Curriculum for Medical Laboratory Science

Phenomenon: Nowadays, with rapidly developing in medical laboratory science(MLS), new concepts, knowledge and technologies are constantly emerging, which requires medical students to continuously learn to grasp the new development trend and the latest research progress. To enable the students to learn and make use of scientific knowledge better, the Special English Curriculum for MLS has been set up, which is very important to non-English-speaking students. However, there are many problems in the course of teaching, so the improved teaching quality of the curriculum is in demand. Approach: In this paper these problems are described and the corresponding advices are proposed from the perspectives of staff room, teachers and students, which are supposed to develop the curriculum for education of the medical laboratory scientists. Findings: To improve the teaching quality of the Special English Curriculum for MLS, the textbook should be appropriately selected or compiled, the novel teaching methods can be applied, and the modern multimedia teaching materials can be adopted.The teachers of the curriculum should be proficient in professional knowledge, English as well as the systematic and scientific teaching methods. The students need to have the courage and determination to overcome the difficulties when they learn the curriculum, and the students who have not did well in their lessons should learn to study by themselves. Insights: The Special English Curriculum for MLS is very important to non-English-speaking students and is kind of difficult for them, the staff room, teachers and students should adjust themselves to teach and learn the curriculum better.

Toolkits for Real Time Digital Audio Signal Processing Teaching Laboratory

This paper describes an audio digital signal-processing toolkit that the authors develop to supplement a lecture course on digital signal processing (DSP) taught at the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Rwanda. In engineering education, laboratory work is a very important component for a holistic learning experience. However, even though today there is an increasing availability of programmable DSP hardware that students can largely benefit from, many poorly endowed universities cannot afford a costly full-fledged DSP laboratory. To help remedy this problem, the authors have developed C#.NET toolkits, which can be used for real-time digital audio signal processing laboratory. These toolkits can be used with any managed languages, like Visual Basic, C#, F# and managed C++. They provide frequently used modules for digital audio processing such as filtering, equalization, spectrum analysis, audio playback, and sound effects. It is anticipated that by creating a flexible and reusable components, students will not only learn fundamentals of DSP but also get an insight into the practicability of what they have learned in the classroom.

Exploration of Multi-modal Teaching Methods in Teaching of Agricultural Landscape Planning

Taking the teaching practice of agricultural landscape planning for example,this paper uses the multi-modal teaching idea for teaching design based on traditional lecture-style teaching,including multi-modal teaching materials,multi-modal teaching methods and multi-modal teaching evaluation. The results show that this method can effectively improve students' interest in learning,reinforce the theoretical basis of agricultural landscape planning theory,and improve agricultural landscape planning practical skills. Exploration on MOOC Teaching Pilot College Construction Planning
