This paper proposes a comprehensive framework for estimating the regional rooftop photovoltaic(PV)potential. The required rooftop information is extracted from Gao Fen-7 satellite images. In particular, the rooftop area is obtained using a semantic segmentation network. The azimuth and inclination angles are calculated based on the digital surface model. In addition,to improve the accuracy of the economic evaluation, buildings are divided into commercial and industrial buildings and residential buildings.Based on the difference in the roof inclination, the rooftops can be divided into flat roofs,on which the PV panels are installed with the optimal inclination angle, and sloped rooftops,on which the PV panels are installed in a lay-flat manner. The solar irradiation on the plane-of-array is calculated using the isotropic sky translocation model. Then, the available installed capacity and generation potential of the rooftop PV is obtained. Finally, the net present value, dynamic payback period, and internal rate of return are used to evaluate the economic efficiency of the rooftop PV project. The proposed framework is applied in the Da Xing district of Beijing,China, with a total area of 546.84 km^(2).The results show that the rooftop area and available installed capacity of PV are 25.63 km^(2)and 1487.45 MWp,respectively. The annual rooftop PV generation potential is 2832.23 GWh,with significant economic returns. 展开更多

The organic carbon production and prospect of fishery production in the waters of this sea are estimated. It is shown that, there exists production patential in the Bohai Sea, the primary production is 112 gC/ (m2 ?a)the production of organic carbon being 10 million ton per year, the fishery yields 1 million ton and the maximum catch of sea products 0. 5 million ton. The results of the investigation can serve as the basic data for the exploitation, utilization and management of the fishery resources in the Bohai Sea. 展开更多

Two estimaton methods are used to calculate the theoretical reservoir potential of China's oceanic thermal energy. One is based on the measured temperature difference between the surface water and the deep water, the other on the net radiation energy income from solar insolation either measured or deduced. The results from these two methods are compared and examined. Then, the maximum amount of the exploitable thermal energy is calculated based on the assumption of a Carnot cycle efficiency. In the process of estimation, such factors as water depth, seasonal water temperature variation and geographic location have been taken into account. The theoretical reservoir capacity and the exploitable quantity of the thermal energy of China's four seas are thus estimated separately. 展开更多

This paper builds a bridge between partial regularity theory and nonlinear potential theory for the following generalized stationary Stokes system with super-quadratic growth and continuous coefficients:-div A(x,Du)+■π=f,div u=0,where Du is the symmetric part of the gradient■u.We first establish anε-regularity criterion involving both the excess functional of the symmetric gradient Du and Wolff potentials of the nonhomogeneous term f to guarantee the local vanishing mean oscillation(VMO)-regularity of Du in an open subset Ω_(u) of Ω with full measure.Such anε-regularity criterion leads to a pointwise Wolff potential estimate of Du,which immediately infers that Du is partially C^(0)-regular under appropriate assumptions. Finally,we give a local continuous modulus estimate of Du. 展开更多

Wild mushrooms are recognized as important non-wood forest products in mountainous ecosystems, but their real potential for generating rural economies has not been fully evaluated due to the difficulties in obtaining reliable productivity data, minimizing their true potential as contributor to rural economies. Mushroom yield models based on large data series from Pinus forest ecosystems in the region of Catalonia(Spain), combined with data from the Spanish National Forest Inventory allow us to estimate the potential mushroom productivity by forest ecosystems. The results of 24,500 tons/yr of mushrooms of which 16,300 tons are classified as edible and 7,900 tons are commonly marketed demonstrate the importance of mushroom productions in Catalonian pine forests, mostly located in mountainous areas where the development of agricultural activities is limited. Economic mushroom value is estimated at 48 million € for the edible mushroom and 32 million € for those corresponding to marketable yields, confirming the potential of this non-wood forest product. These production results and corresponding economic values provide a basis for the incorporation of wild mushrooms as significant non-wood forest products in the development of forest policies in mountainous areas. 展开更多
