Key technologies of artificial intelligence in electric power customer service

As the demand for customer service continues to increase,more companies are attempting to apply artificial intelligence technology in the field of customer service,enabling intelligent customer service,reducing customer service pressure,and reducing operating costs.Currently,the existing intelligent customer service has a limited degree of intelligence and can only answer simple user questions,and complex user expressions are difficult to understand.To solve the problem of low accuracy of multi-round dialogue semantic understanding,this paper proposes a semantic understanding model based on the fusion of a convolutional neural network(CNN)and attention.The model builds an“intention-slot”joint model based on the“encoding–decoding”framework and uses hidden semantic information that combines intent recognition and slot filling,avoiding the problem of information loss in traditional isolated tasks,and achieving end-to-end semantic understanding.Additionally,an improved attention mechanism based on CNNs is introduced in the decoding process to reduce the interference of redundant information in the original text,thereby increasing the accuracy of semantic understanding.Finally,by applying the model to electric power intelligent customer service,we verified through an experimental comparison that the proposed fusion model improves the performance of intent recognition and slot filling and can improve the user experience of electric power intelligent customer services. 展开更多

Wind energy (WE) has become immensely popular for distributed generation (DG). This case presents the monitoring, modeling, control, and analysis of the two-level three-phase WE based DG system where the electric grid interfacing custom power device (CPD) is controlled to perform the smart exchanging of electric power as per the Indian grid code. WE is connected to DC link of CPD for the grid integration purpose. The CPD based distributed static compensator, i.e. the distributed static synchronous compensator (DSTATCOM), is utilized for injecting the wind power to the point of common coupling (PCC) and also acts against the reactive power demand. The novel indirect current control scheme of DSTATCOM regulates the power import and export between the WE and the electric grid system. It also acts as a compensator and performs both the key features simultaneously. Hence, the penetration of additional generated WE power to the grid is increased by 20% to 25%. The burden of reactive power compensation from grid is reduced by DSTATCOM. The modeling and simulation are done in MATLAB. The results are validated and verified. 展开更多

Inertial piezoelectric actuators are widely applied in precision devices with simple structure and accurate movement.However,existing inertial piezoelectric actuators still face the challenges of rollback motion and bulky power supply.In this work,an alternate excitation strategy and a customized small power supply for a bimorph rotary piezoelectric actuator(BRPA)are proposed to solve the problems.The BRPA prototype is designed with a bipedal symmetrical structure,measuring 35 mm in height and 32 mm in diameter,which has a maximum rotation velocity of 0.247 rad/s and a resolution of 0.66μrad.Thanks to the bipedal symmetrical structure,the friction directions between the driving feet and the rotor can be coordinated to suppress the rollback.The rollback ratio is almost zero when the phase difference of the exciting signal is set as 180°.The customized power supply is designed and manufactured,whose size is 58 mm×56 mm×46 mm.It can output signals for the single step mode and the continuous mode,and they are adopted to excite BRPA to achieve a small stroke with one single step and a large stroke with continuous step,respectively.Then,an experimental system for optical fiber alignment is developed based on the BRPA and the customized small power supply,the experiment has verified the practicability of this work in the precision fields,especially in the miniaturized precision systems. 展开更多

This paper proposes a cascaded low-pass filter(CLPF)scheme for the control of a unified power quality conditioner(UPQC)installed for enhancing the power quality of an electric vehicle(EV)charging station.With the incorporation of UPQC,the EV charging station draws sinusoidal currents at unity power factor and the supply voltage is maintained at the nominal value at the charger input.In the CLPF scheme,theα-βcomponents of the load current are individually processed through a cascade connection of two LPFs to determine the corresponding fundamental orthogonal components.Based on thus determined components,the instantaneous and peak value and phase angle of the fundamental positive sequence component(FPSC)of the load current are computed.Similarly,the corresponding quantities related to the load and supply voltages are also computed with the CLPF scheme.With the computations related to the load current and supply voltage,the unit voltage templates(UVTs),power factor and fundamental active component(FAC)of the load current are calculated.For the control of shunt compensation,reference currents are generated based on the FAC of the load current and UVTs.Alternately,the control of series compensation is employed with the help of UVTs and peak amplitude of the FPSC of the load voltage.The performance of CLPF scheme-based extraction is compared with that of the earlier reported schemes through simulation and experimental studies.The performance comparison reveals a faster dynamic and more accurate steady-state response with the proposed scheme.The performance analysis of the proposed CLPF scheme-based control of a UPQC deployed at the EV charging station for different operating conditions demonstrates station operation with requisite reactive power compensation and mitigation of voltage sag/swell,and prevention of propagation of harmonic and unbalanced currents into the grid.This results in increased reliability of charger operation,energy savings and increased efficiency of the distribution network. 展开更多
