Present Situation and its Causes of College English Learning and Practice Environment in China

Language learning must be conducted on the basis of acquisition, and the acquisition needs a certain environment as the material guarantee for the implementation of the learning activities. In China, English teaching lacks an advantageous learning environment as a Foreign Language （EFL） Teaching, which is one of main factors that more time is spent on the teaching but efficiency is not improved correspondingly. Therefore, we should attach more importance to the present situation and its causes. In this essay, present Situation is analyzed through the practical research, and the causes are explored to help to improve the efficiency of foreign language learning.

Empirical Research on the Relationship between Best Corporation Practices and Environmental Performance

Is the adoption of best practice in business associated with improved environmental performance？ And what methods can he used to assess and compare the environmental practices and performance of different companies？ In this paper, through case anatysis, the business environmental practices and performance of five companies in the manufacturing sector were examined and scored. Assessing these companies practices and performance according to “The best practice model” designed by Australian Manufacturing Council （AMC. 1994）. The finding shows that there is strong correlation between environmental practices and performance of companies （r=0.85, p〈0.05）, and indicates that corporate paying attention to environmental issue will improve its all performances in business.

A Study on the Relationship Among Nurses' Practice Environment, Safety Attitude, and Occupational Wellbeing

Objective:To investigate the status quo of nursing practice environment,nurses'safety attitude,and occupational well-being,as well as to explore the relationship among the three,so as to provide reference for formulating and implementing corresponding measures.Methods:A cross-sectional survey was conducted from October 2021 to December 2021.A total of 1,939 nurses from five tertiary hospitals in a city were surveyed using the Nurses5 Practice Environment Assessment Scale,Safety Attitudes Questionnaire,and Medical WorkersJ Occupational Wellbeing Scale.The data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0.Results:The total score of nurses5 practice environment was 68.81±27.79 points,which is at a relatively general level;the total score of nurses'safety attitude was 111.28±14.38 points,which is at a moderate level;and the total score of occupational well-being was 62.43±28.17 points,which is relatively high.There was a significant positive correlation between nurses'practice environment and their safety attitudes and occupational well-being(p<0.05).Conclusion:Nurses are the main human resources in hospitals,and their practice environment is closely related to patient safety and their work enthusiasm.An unhealthy practice environment not only affects the quality of care,which leads to patient safety issues,but also their job satisfaction.Nurse managers are encouraged to implement targeted interventions in advance to improve nurses,practice environment,strengthen safety attitudes,and enhance the professional wellbeing of nurses.

Critical care nurses and their clinical reasoning for customizing monitor alarms:a mixed-method study

Objective:To explore the clinical rationale of critical care nurses for personalizing monitor alarms.One of the most crucial jobs assigned to critical care nurses is monitoring patients'physiological indicators and carrying out the necessary associated interventions.Successful use of equipment in the nursing practice environment will be improved by a thorough understanding of the nurse's approach to alarm configuration.Methods:A mixed-method design integrating quantitative and qualitative components was used.The sample of this study recruited a convenience sample of 60 nurses who have worked in critical care areas.This study took place at Lebanese American University Medical Center Rizk Hospital,utilizing a semi-structured interview with participants.Results:The study demonstrated the high incidence of nuisance alarms and the desensitization of critical care nurses to vital ones.According to the nurses,frequent false alarms and a shortage of staff are the 2 main causes of alarm desensitization.Age was significantly associated with the perception of Smart alarms,according to the data(P=0.03).Four interconnected themes and subcategories that reflect the clinical reasoning process for alarm customization were developed as a result of the study's qualitative component:(1)unit alarm environment;(2)nursing style;(3)motivation to customize;and(4)clinical and technological customization.Conclusions:According to this study,nurses believe that alarms are valuable.However,a qualitative analysis of the experiences revealed that customization has been severely limited since the healthcare team depends on nurses to complete these tasks independently.Additionally,a staffing shortage and lack of technical training at the start of placement have also hindered customization.
