In today’s society, the incidence of cardiopulmonary diseases is increasing annually, seriously affecting patients’ quality of life. Therefore, developing a scientific and effective rehabilitation training program is of great significance. This study first analyzes the theoretical basis of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation training, including the effects of aerobic exercise, interval training, and strength training on cardiopulmonary function. Based on this, a comprehensive rehabilitation training program is designed, which includes personalized training plans, comprehensive interventions, multidisciplinary collaboration, patient education, and regular follow-up visits. The cardiopulmonary rehabilitation training plan developed in this study has certain scientific practicability, which provides a theoretical basis for cardiopulmonary rehabilitation training, and also provides a reference for medical institutions, rehabilitation centers and communities, which is helpful for promotion and application to a wider range of patients with cardiopulmonary diseases. 展开更多

Awareness policy intended to contribute to changing rural women realities to urgent needs of information and gain knowledge was to be demonstrated through in-depth information and communication technology-based(ICTs-based)training program that focused on the importance of advanced agricultural technologies in the production chain in developing countries like Egypt through access and use of the ICTs.Women are becoming well trained on the detailed steps of improved technologies applied in supply chain.Their increased awareness of the necessity of quality management to be followed during their work in the postharvest handling system helped them to produce high-quality products to meet the export requirements of foreign markets and add value to the export quality.Women have been able to reduce the extremely high losses that occurred due to improper handling in particular.The outcomes of proper and healthy procedures,precautions and personal protection were gained by rural women and technicians working in the supply chain.Moreover,women themselves became more confident in their know-how and more comfortable in transgressing cultural norms that inhibited their progress. 展开更多

The main objective of the work presented in this paper was to develop a customized safety training program that can be incorporated into the demolition projects undertaken as part of blight reduction efforts in urban centers. A subsidiary objective was to devise and implement a safety program evaluation methodology, and gain insights on the relationships between knowledge acquisition through training and trainee demographics. Salient aspects of blight elimination efforts, as well as the main facets of building demolition practices and requirements, were reviewed. Information on various related safety and health hazards was studied in depth with a focus on demolition operations dealing with blighted properties. A unique safety hazard awareness training program was created for demolition workers, contractors and inspectors based on this research. In addition to devising a curriculum of relevant training topics along with traditional and online delivery systems to be employed, effectiveness evaluation instruments were formulated. Based on the limited data collected from the trainees it was concluded that the program was well-received by them and provided effective learning. It was also found that no statistically significant associations existed between the knowledge gain of the trainees, and either their experience level or union status, after taking this training. 展开更多

BACKGROUND As one of the most important members in clinical trials,the number of clinical research nurses(CRN)can't keep up with the growth of experimental projects,so it is urgent to build clinical research training and strengthen the background knowledge of nurses.AIM To construct CRN training program based on position competence,accelerate the construction of CRN talent pool,and provide scientific guidance significance for CRN training.METHODS Based on the position competence model,combined with literature research and qualitative interview results,the first draft was prepared of the CRN training program.Two rounds of correspondence with 16 experts were conducted using the Delphi method to determine the training program.RESULTS The effective recovery rate of the expert correspondence questionnaire was 100%and the authority coefficients of the 2 rounds of experts were 0.826 and 0.895.Finally,4 first-level indicators and determine 15 s-level indicators of training objectives.The training program included 4 first-level indicators,training requirements,content,methods,assessment and evaluation,15 s-level indicators,and 74 third-level indicators.CONCLUSION The CRN training program based on position competence is scientific and extendable,providing a basis for participation in CRN training. 展开更多

Objective: The demand for pediatric developmental evaluations has far exceeded the workforce available to perform them, which creates long significant wait times for services. A year-long clinician training using the Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO<sup>®</sup>) model with monthly meetings was conducted and evaluated for its impact on primary care clinicians’ self-reported self-efficacy, ability to administer autism screening and counsel families, professional fulfillment, and burnout. Methods: Participants represented six community health centers and a hospital-based practice. Data collection was informed by participant feedback and the Normalization Process Theory via online surveys and focus groups/interviews. Twelve virtual monthly trainings were delivered between November 2020 and October 2021. Results: 30 clinicians participated in data collection. Matched analyses (n = 9) indicated statistically significant increase in self-rated ability to counsel families about autism (Pre-test Mean = 3.00, Post-test Mean = 3.89, p = 0.0313), manage autistic patients’ care (Pre-test Mean = 2.56, Post-test Mean = 4.11, p = 0.0078), empathy toward patients (Pre-test Mean = 2.11, Post-test Mean = 1.22, p = 0.0156) and colleagues (Pre-test Mean = 2.33, Post-test Mean = 1.22, respectively, p = 0.0391). Unmatched analysis revealed increases in participants confident about educating patients about autism (70.59%, post-test n = 12 vs. 3.33%, pre-test n = 1, p = 0.0019). Focus groups found increased confidence in using the term “autism”. Conclusion: Participants reported increases in ability and confidence to care for autistic patients, as well as empathy toward patients and colleagues. Future research should explore long-term outcomes in participants’ knowledge retention, confidence in practice, and improvements to autism evaluations and care. 展开更多

This study proposes the use of the MERISE conceptual data model to create indicators for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of vocational training in the Republic of Congo. The importance of MERISE for structuring and analyzing data is underlined, as it enables the measurement of the adequacy between training and the needs of the labor market. The innovation of the study lies in the adaptation of the MERISE model to the local context, the development of innovative indicators, and the integration of a participatory approach including all relevant stakeholders. Contextual adaptation and local innovation: The study suggests adapting MERISE to the specific context of the Republic of Congo, considering the local particularities of the labor market. Development of innovative indicators and new measurement tools: It proposes creating indicators to assess skills matching and employer satisfaction, which are crucial for evaluating the effectiveness of vocational training. Participatory approach and inclusion of stakeholders: The study emphasizes actively involving training centers, employers, and recruitment agencies in the evaluation process. This participatory approach ensures that the perspectives of all stakeholders are considered, leading to more relevant and practical outcomes. Using the MERISE model allows for: • Rigorous data structuring, organization, and standardization: Clearly defining entities and relationships facilitates data organization and standardization, crucial for effective data analysis. • Facilitation of monitoring, analysis, and relevant indicators: Developing both quantitative and qualitative indicators helps measure the effectiveness of training in relation to the labor market, allowing for a comprehensive evaluation. • Improved communication and common language: By providing a common language for different stakeholders, MERISE enhances communication and collaboration, ensuring that all parties have a shared understanding. In recent years evidence has emerged suggesting that Mini-basketball training program(MBTP)can be an effec-tive intervention method to improve social communication(SC)impairments and restricted and repetitive beha-viors(RRBs)in preschool children suffering from autism spectrum disorder(ASD).However,there is a considerable degree if interindividual variability concerning these social outcomes and thus not all preschool chil-dren with ASD profit from a MBTP intervention to the same extent.In order to make more accurate predictions which preschool children with ASD can benefit from an MBTP intervention or which preschool children with ASD need additional interventions to achieve behavioral improvements,further research is required.This study aimed to investigate which individual factors of preschool children with ASD can predict MBTP intervention out-comes concerning SC impairments and RRBs.Then,test the performance of machine learning models in predict-ing intervention outcomes based on these factors.Participants were 26 preschool children with ASD who enrolled in a quasi-experiment and received MBTP intervention.Baseline demographic variables(e.g.,age,body,mass index[BMI]),indicators of physicalfitness(e.g.,handgrip strength,balance performance),performance in execu-tive function,severity of ASD symptoms,level of SC impairments,and severity of RRBs were obtained to predict treatment outcomes after MBTP intervention.Machine learning models were established based on support vector machine algorithm were implemented.For comparison,we also employed multiple linear regression models in statistics.Ourfindings suggest that in preschool children with ASD symptomatic severity(r=0.712,p<0.001)and baseline SC impairments(r=0.713,p<0.001)are predictors for intervention outcomes of SC impair-ments.Furthermore,BMI(r=-0.430,p=0.028),symptomatic severity(r=0.656,p<0.001),baseline SC impair-ments(r=0.504,p=0.009)and baseline RRBs(r=0.647,p<0.001)can predict intervention outcomes of RRBs.Statistical models predicted 59.6%of variance in post-treatment SC impairments(MSE=0.455,RMSE=0.675,R2=0.596)and 58.9%of variance in post-treatment RRBs(MSE=0.464,RMSE=0.681,R2=0.589).Machine learning models predicted 83%of variance in post-treatment SC impairments(MSE=0.188,RMSE=0.434,R2=0.83)and 85.9%of variance in post-treatment RRBs(MSE=0.051,RMSE=0.226,R2=0.859),which were better than statistical models.Ourfindings suggest that baseline characteristics such as symptomatic severity of 144 IJMHP,2022,vol.24,no.2 ASD symptoms and SC impairments are important predictors determining MBTP intervention-induced improvements concerning SC impairments and RBBs.Furthermore,the current study revealed that machine learning models can successfully be applied to predict the MBTP intervention-related outcomes in preschool chil-dren with ASD,and performed better than statistical models.Ourfindings can help to inform which preschool children with ASD are most likely to benefit from an MBTP intervention,and they might provide a reference for the development of personalized intervention programs for preschool children with ASD. 展开更多

Objectives:Pressure ulcer(PU)is one of the most common problem among the bedridden elderly and has significantly more burden on elderly and caregivers.This study is aimed to evaluate the effects of the training program for caregivers to prevent PUs among elderly residents at geriatric homes.Methods:A quasi-experimental design was used to carry out the current study.A purposive sample comprised of all formal(39 nurses)or informal caregivers(39)and all immobilized elderly residents(35)who are found in all geriatric centers in Helwan district.A structured questionnaire was used to assess caregivers’socio-demographic characteristics,knowledge,attitude,and observational checklists for their practice for prevention of PU at pre-and posttest and during follow-up.Results:After the training program,there were improvements in the level of knowledge,practice,and positive attitude of caregivers about PU prevention with a statistically significant difference between pre-,post-,and follow-up training programs(P<0.001).Conclusions:The study revealed that the training program seemed to change the knowledge,practice,and attitude of the subjects to PU prevention.This,in turn,implies that adequate knowledge affects directly the elderly caregivers’attitudes as well as practice for prevention could be important in reducing the burden of PU among the elderly.Thus,conducting a training program for caregivers at different geriatric homes about caring skills for elders can prevent PU,and using spontaneous reposition is very effective to prevent PUs. 展开更多

This research was aimed to evaluate the training program enhancing caring behaviors of new nurses by Kirkpatrick's four level for evaluation model: reaction, learning, behavior, and result of the program. The participants were new nurses, preceptors of new nurses, administrators, patients and members of the patients' family cared by new nurses. The research instruments were: (1) five questionnaires toward program suitability, knowledge, attitude, caring expression, and result to organization. The mean, standard deviation and dependent sample t-test were used for data analysis; (2) guidelines for focus group discussion and semi-structural questionnaire analyzed by content analysis. The study revealed that: (1) the mean of suitability was at the very high level (X = 4.49, SD. = .30); (2) the knowledge and attitude after training were significantly higher than before training at .000 level, [t =-21.65, p = .000 and t = -19.30, p = .000); {3} caring behavior after training was significantly higher than before training at the .000 level; and {4} the result of the program was at the high level { X = 4.25, SD. = .17}, related to the result of semi-structured interview and focus group discussion. These evaluation research finding suggested that administrators can use for improving the preparation of any project and apply to evaluate other training programs, developing human resource system. 展开更多

A robust parameter identification method based on Kiencke model was proposed to solve the problem of the parameter identification accuracy being affected by the rail environment change and noise interference for heavy-duty trains. Firstly, a Kiencke stick-creep identification model was constructed, and the parameter identification task was transformed into a quadratic programming problem. Secondly, an iterative algorithm was constructed to solve the problem, into which a time-varying forgetting factor was added to track the change of the rail environment, and to solve the uncertainty problem of the wheel-rail environment. The Granger causality test was adopted to detect the interference, and then the weights of the current data were redistributed to solve the problem of noise interference in parameter identification. Finally, simulations were carried out and the results showed that the proposed method could track the change of the track environment in time, reduce the noise interference in the identification process, and effectively identify the adhesion performance parameters. 展开更多

In view of the uncertainty and complexity,the intelligent model of rehabilitation training program for stroke was proposed,combining with the case-based reasoning(CBR) and interval type-2 fuzzy reasoning(IT2FR).The model consists of two parts:the setting model based on CBR and the feedback compensation model based on IT2FR.The former presets the value of rehabilitation training program,and the latter carries on the feedback compensation of the preset value.Experimental results show that the average percentage error of two rehabilitation training programs is 0.074%.The two programs are made by the intelligent model and rehabilitation physician.That is,the two different programs are nearly identical.It means that the intelligent model can make a rehabilitation training program effectively and improve the rehabilitation efficiency. 展开更多

This paper is a report of a study of the effects of a leader-training program, focusing on how public health nurse (PHN) leaders manage staff. In Japan, a system of training after graduation or training after acquisition of the PHN license has not been established. At present, PHN leaders are unable to devote as much time as they previously could to in-service education, and this has made it difficult to establish a suitable full-fledged in-service education system. Therefore, it is paramount for PHN leaders to acquire the necessary competence to train staff efficiently and, ultimately, play a more prominent role in the in-service education of novice PHNs. The effecttiveness of this program was evaluated before and after conducting the program over a 1-year period. A total of 145 leaders working for local government agencies in Japan participated in the program, and data from 87 participants were analyzed. Before the training program, Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle activities were less frequent than after the program. Intervention using a leader-training program that combines group and on-the-job training is effective for PHN leaders. 展开更多

<strong><em>Objective: </em></strong>The purpose of the studies is to analyze and identify the level of competency, which includes knowledge and skills between SCDP nurses (Residence Program) a... <strong><em>Objective: </em></strong>The purpose of the studies is to analyze and identify the level of competency, which includes knowledge and skills between SCDP nurses (Residence Program) and newly graduate nurses (Non-residence) in Saudi Arabia. <strong> <em>Methods: </em></strong>A survey uses an open-ended question conducted among the participant. The data is collected by using tape recording during the interview session. Newly graduate nurses and SCDP nurses were included in this study. (5) Resident nurses vs. (5) non-resident were included in this study making 10 sample size of qualitative study. <strong><em>Results: </em></strong>Findings of the study show significant differences between nonresident and resident in their journey of orientation, competency development and their learning opportunities. Residents are more likely feel less distress and more satisfied about their experience entering the residence program. <em> <strong>Conclusion: </strong></em>Nursing Residency program helps in supporting nurses to build a future leader. Hence, it helps in their critical thinking, skills and knowledge, which elevate their confidence level. 展开更多

Quality of maternal and newborn care could be improved if health care providers’ knowledge and competencies as well as system level constraints are addressed. However, due to several barriers staff nurses who form the frontline of health care workforce have limited access to enhancing their clinical knowledge and competencies. To address this gap, a new cadre of nurse mentors (NMs) for the public health system were trained by specialists from a teaching hospital in a special 5-week training course. This included 54 hours of theory and 110 hours of practical in clinical obstetric and newborn care, apart from mentoring, quality improvement and health systems issues. The nurse mentors were assigned to support staff nurses in the primary health care centres (PHCs) in eight northern Karnataka districts. Each NM covered 6-8 PHCs monthly for 2 - 3 days and thus a total of 385 PHCs were reached. They received support in the field through supportive supervision visits done by the specialists who had trained them, as well as by refresher training and clinical postings to the district hospitals. This paper presents impact of the training program on change in immediate and long term knowledge and competency scores of nurse mentors. Their baseline knowledge scores changed from 44.3 ± 12.7 to 72.1 ± 13.8 immediately after the training in obstetric and from 18.2 ± 19.1 to 66.4 ± 14.9 in newborn (p p p > 0.05). Skills score soon after training increased from 62.2 ± 13.2 to 69.6 ± 12.5 in obstetric after a 1 year period and from 52.6 ± 9.3;63.5 ± 14.4 in newborn (p < 0.001) content areas respectively. These findings have implications for those interested in improving quality of maternal and child care through nurse-dependent health delivery systems. 展开更多

This study aimed at investigating the effect of a proposed EFL (English as a Foreign Language) training program on the teachers' reading practices in Mafraq. This program was developed by the researcher according to the ninth-grade EFL teachers' needs. The participants of the study were 20 ninth-grade females EFL teachers who represented the experimental and control groups (10 teachers in each group). They were randomly chosen from 10 schools in the Northwestern Badia Directorate of Education. To achieve the purposes of the study, the researcher designed a needs analysis questionnaire, a training program, a pre and post observation checklist, and a pre and post received knowledge test for teachers. Proper statistical analysis was used to analyze the results of the research questions. The results of the study showed that teachers were in need to be trained on 20 reading comprehension practices to be able to teach reading comprehension effectively. Besides, there were statistically significant differences at the level of (a = 0.05) between the means scores of the ninth-grade teachers' performance of the control and experimental groups on the post observation checklist and on the post received knowledge test in favor of the experimental group due to the training program. 展开更多
