Our experiments at conditions below the dry peridotite solidus produced melt compositions that ranged from basaltic andesite to tholeiite. An Opx reaction band formed between eclogite and peridotite layers, likely via chemical reaction between a silica-rich eclogite-derived partial melt and olivine in the peridotite matrix. At temperatures at or above the dry peridotite solidus, substantial melting occurred in both basalt and peridotite layers, and fully molten basalt melt and melt pockets from the peridotite layer combined. In our layered experiments, major and minor element contents in reacted melts closely matched those of Hawaiian tholeiite and picrite, except for Fe. Partial melts of anhydrous run products had ~55 - 57 wt% SiO2 at low temperature (i.e., were andesitic) and had ~50 - 53 wt% SiO2 at high temperatures, slightly below the dry peridotite solidus (i.e., were tholeiitic, and similar to those that occur during the Hawaii shield-building stage). Based on the Fe- and LREE-enriched signature in Hawaiian tholeiites, we propose that recycled components in the Hawaiian plume are not modern N-MORB, but are Fe-rich tholeiite;a lithology that was common in the Archaean and early Proterozoic. We have demonstrated that the entire compositional spectrum of Hawaiian tholeiites (basalt to picrite) can be formed by basalt-peridotite reactive melting near the dry solidus of peridotite. Based on these results, we propose that the potential temperature of the sub-Hawaiian plume may be much lower than previously estimated.展开更多

This research chooses six typical turbulence models, which are critical to the computing precision, and to evaluating the issue of APGs. Local frictional resistance coefficient is compared between numerical and experimental results. The same comparisons of dimensionless averaged velocity profiles are also performed. It is found that results generated by Wilcox (2006) k-co are most close to the experimental data. Meanwhile, turbulent quantities such as turbulent kinetic energy and Reynolds-stress are also studied.展开更多

As Po2 increases from 10% to 30%, it is found that the device shows enhanced bias stress stability with significantly reduced threshold voltage drift under positive gate bias stress. Based on the x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurement, the concentration of oxygen vacancies (Or) within the a-IGZO layer is suppressed by increasing Po2. Meanwhile, the low-frequency noise analysis indicates that the average trap density near the channel/dielectric interface continuously drops with increasing Po2. Therefore, the improved interface quality with increasing Po2 during the channel layer deposition can be attributed to the reduction of interface Ov-related defects, which agrees with the enhanced bias stress stability of the a-IGZO TFTs.展开更多

However, the effect of APG on this outer peak is not clearly understood. In this paper, the effect of APG is analysed using the numerical and experimental results in the literature. Because the effect of upstream flow is inherent in the TBL, we first analyse this effect in TBLs with zero pressure gradient on flat plates. Under the individual effect of upstream flow, an outer peak already appears in the profile of streamwise Reynolds stress when the TBL continues developing in the streamwise direction. The APG accelerates the appearance of the outer peak, instead of being a trigger.展开更多

By using scanning Kelvin probe, the dodecanethiol SAL is confirmed to build on Cu surface, and the modification of SAL has positively shifted the surface potential to realize the inertness. Electrochemical techniques, such as electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and potentiodynamic polarization were used to reveal the corrosion behavior of Cu modified by SAL under the different pressure, i e, 0.1, 3, 6, and 9 MPa. It is indicated that the longer modification time affords better corrosion resistance to Cu. Higher static pressure is easier to deteriorate the corrosion inhibition capability due to the penetration effect. A plausible mechanism is proposed to illustrate the degradation process of SAL in the high pressure seawater environment.展开更多

However, they are time-consuming and unstable, which makes them unsuitable for wider application. In this study, an efficient model with a single layer is developed. Decomposing the pressure into the hydrostatic and dynamic components and integrating the x-momentum equation from the bottom to the free surface can yield a horizontal momentum equation, in which the terms relevant to the dynamic pressure are discretized semi-implicitly. The convective terms in the vertical momentum equation are ignored, and the rest of the equation is approximated with the Keller-box scheme. The velocities expressed as the unknown dynamic pressure are substituted into the continuity equation, resulting in a tri-diagonal linear system solved by the Thomas algorithm. The validation of solitary and sinusoidal waves indicates that the present model can provide comparable results to the models with multiple layers but at much lower computation cost.展开更多

We have theoretically studied the relation between the pressure and the temperature of layered high-temperature superconductor. If the pressure is not a constant, we have a relation of quadratic equation between the pressure and the temperature of layered high-temperature superconductor. In a special case, we find the critical temperature decreases with further increasing pressure. In another special ease, the critical temperature increases with further increasing pressure.展开更多

文摘A pressure swing adsorption (PSA) hydrogen purification model for the four-component gas (H_(2)/CO_(2)/CH_(4)/CO=73/16/8/3 mol%) in a layered bed packed with Cu-BTC and zeolite 5A was established to achieve better hydrogen purification performance.By comparing its simulation results with the experimental data, the adsorption isotherm model was validated and could be used to accurately describe the adsorption process of the gas mixture on the two adsorbents. The breakthrough curves of the mixed gas on the layered bed were studied to verify the correctness of the established simulation models.Based on the validated model, the performance of the PSA system based on the layered bed was carried out, including the hydrogen purity and recovery. The simulation results show that the hydrogen purification system based on the layered bed model can achieve hydrogen purity of 95.469% and hydrogen recovery of 83.219%.Moreover,a parametric study was carried out and its results show that reductions in feed flow rate and adsorption time result in an increase in hydrogen purity and a decrease in hydrogen recovery.A longer equalization time between the two adsorption beds can simultaneously increase the hydrogen purity and recovery.

文摘In this paper, a numerical study of flow in the turbulence boundary layer with adverse and pressure gradients (APGs) is conducted by using Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations. Meanwhile, turbulent quantities such as turbulent kinetic energy and Reynolds-stress are also studied.

文摘The effect of oxygen partial pressure (Po2) during the channel layer deposition on bias stability of amorphous indium-gallium-zinc oxide (a-IGZO) thin film transistors (TFTs) is investigated. Therefore, the improved interface quality with increasing Po2 during the channel layer deposition can be attributed to the reduction of interface Ov-related defects, which agrees with the enhanced bias stress stability of the a-IGZO TFTs.

文摘It is widely accepted that in a turbulent boundary layer (TBL) with adverse pressure gradient (APG) an outer peak usually appears in the profile of streamwise Reynolds stress. The APG accelerates the appearance of the outer peak, instead of being a trigger.

文摘Extensive efforts have been made to pursue a low-friction state with promising applications in many fields, such as mechanical and biomedical engineering.Among which, the load capacity of the low-friction state has been considered to be crucial for industrial applications. Here,we report a low friction under ultrahigh contact pressure by building a novel self-assembled fluorinated azobenzene layer on an atomically smooth highly-oriented pyrolytic graphite(HOPG)surface.Sliding friction coefficients could be as low as 0.0005 or even lower under a contact pressure of up to 4 GPa.It demonstrates that the low friction under ultrahigh contact pressure is attributed to molecular fluorination. The fluorination leads to effective and robust lubrication between the tip and the self-assembled layer and enhances tighter rigidity which can reduce the stress concentration in the substrate, which was verified by density functional theory(DFT)and molecular dynamics(MD)simulation. This work provides a new approach to avoid the failure of ultralow friction coefficient under relatively high contact pressure, which has promising potential application value in the future.

文摘Taking dodecanethiol as the representative, we investigated the corrosion inhibition performance of SAL in seawater under pressures from 0.1 to 9 MPa. A plausible mechanism is proposed to illustrate the degradation process of SAL in the high pressure seawater environment.

文摘By a suitable manipulation of hydrogen bubble generation, some new results were obtained: (1)The long-streaks arc generated along the interfaces between low and high-speed streaks. The long-streaks are generally stretching and are moving faster than its neighboring high-speed streaks. The hydrogen bubbles in long-streaks have longer life.(2)The stream-wise vortices are also generated along the interfaces.

文摘The vertical two-dimensional non-hydrostatic pressure models with multiple layers can make prediction more accurate than those obtained by the hydrostatic pres- sure assumption. The validation of solitary and sinusoidal waves indicates that the present model can provide comparable results to the models with multiple layers but at much lower computation cost.
文摘We consider a Ginzburg-Landau modified model of layered high-temperature superconductor under pressure. In another special ease, the critical temperature increases with further increasing pressure.

文摘Germanium diselenide(GeSe_(2))is a promising candidate for electronic devices because of its unique crystal structure and optoelectronic properties. However, the evolution of lattice and electronic structure ofβ-GeSe_(2)at high pressure is still uncertain. Here we prepared high-qualityβ-GeSe_(2)single crystals by chemical vapor transfer(CVT)technique and performed systematic experimental studies on the evolution of lattice structure and bandgap ofβ-GeSe_(2)under pressure.High-precision high-pressure ultra low frequency(ULF)Raman scattering and synchrotron angle-dispersive x-ray diffraction(ADXRD)measurements support that no structural phase transition exists under high pressure up to 13.80 GPa,but the structure ofβ-GeSe_(2)turns into a disordered state near 6.91 GPa and gradually becomes amorphous forming an irreversibly amorphous crystal at 13.80 GPa.Two Raman modes keep softening abnormally upon pressure. The bandgap ofβ-GeSe_(2)reduced linearly from 2.59 eV to 1.65 eV under pressure with a detectable narrowing of 36.5%,and the sample under pressure performs the piezochromism phenomenon. The bandgap after decompression is smaller than that in the atmospheric pressure environment, which is caused by incomplete recrystallization. These results enrich the insight into the structural and optical properties ofβ-GeSe_(2)and demonstrate the potential of pressure in modulating the material properties of two-dimensional(2D)Ge-based binary material.

文摘Large eddy simulation (LES) was used to investigate the space-time field of the low Mach number, fully developed turbulent boundary layer on a smooth, rigid flat plate. The wall-pressure field simulated by LES was analyzed to obtain the pressure statistics, including the wall-pressure root-mean square, skewness and flatness factors, which show the wall pressure distribution was not Gaussian. The profile of the auto-power spectral density and the contour of the streamwise wavenumber-frequency spectral density of wall-pressure were plotted. The "convection ridge" can be observed clearly and the convection velocity can be calculated from the location of the convection peak.
