Hepatocarcinoma patients may present Qi-stagnation, damp-heat, blood stasis, Qi-deficiency, Yin-deficiency and other TCM syndromes(Zheng). Modern treatments such as surgery, transarterial chemoembolization(TACE) and high intensity focus ultrasound treatment would influence the manifestation of TCM syndromes. Herbs with traditional efficacy of tonifying Qi, blood and Yin, soothing liver-Qi stagnation, clearing heat and detoxifying and dissolving stasis, have been demonstrated to be potent to prevent hepatocarcinogenesis. TCM has been widely used in all aspects of integrative therapy in hepatocarcinoma, including surgical resection, liver transplantation, TACE, local ablative therapies and even as monotherapy for middle-advanced stage hepatocarcinoma. Clinical practices have confirmed that TCM is effective to alleviate clinical symptoms, improve quality of life and immune function, prevent recurrence and metastasis, delay tumor progression, and prolong survival time in hepatocarcinoma patients. The effective mechanism of TCM against hepatocarcinoma is related to inducing apoptosis, autophagy, anoikis and cell senescence, arresting cell cycle, regulating immune function, inhibiting metastasis and angiogenesis, reversing drug resistance and enhancing effects of chemotherapy. Along with the progress of research in this field, TCM will contribute more to the prevention and treatment of hepatocarcinoma.展开更多

At present, colorectal cancer depends on surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Due to the characteristics of the elderly, postoperative recovery is slow, prone to postoperative complications and difficult to tolerate radiotherapy and chemotherapy have become the main problem hindering the disease. Based on the theory of prevention, the use of drugs from the perspective of constitution and etiology can prevent the occurrence of colorectal cancer in the elderly. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) combined with radiotherapy and chemotherapy can alleviate adverse reactions and improve treatment efficacy. TCM with surgical treatment can reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications and promote postoperative recovery. For patients with advanced colorectal cancer, TCM can play a role in fighting cancer and improving the quality of life of patients. For patients in stable phase, TCM can prevent tumor recurrence and metastasis.展开更多

文摘Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) has played a positive role in the management of hepatocarcinoma. Along with the progress of research in this field, TCM will contribute more to the prevention and treatment of hepatocarcinoma.

文摘The purpose of this paper is to think about the relationship between the thought of treating the disease of the Chinese medicine and preventing the subhealth.By discussing the connotation of traditional Chinese medicine and the concept of contemporary sub-health,it is considered that the prevention and cure of sub-health is the main category of"preventive treatment of disease".Both have different approaches but equally satisfactory results, while the Chinese use their own unique advantages, the clinical symptoms of Sub-health with personalized regulation and preventive effect, and opens up a new idea for clinical prevention and treatment of sub-health state.
文摘Objective:To explore the clinical effect of combination of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine in treatment of vascular aging in patients with type 2 diabetes complicated by hypertension. Methods:Ninety patients with type 2 diabetes complicated by hypertension admitted to our hospital from May 2016 to August 2019 were selected as research objects. They were randomly divided into control group and observational group, with 45 cases each.Control group was given amlodipine besylate combined with metformin hydrochloride. On the basis of control group, observational group was given combination of TCM syndrome differentiation.Blood glucose, blood pressure and blood lipids before and after 14 days of treatment were compared between two groups. Results:Blood glucose, blood pressure and lipid indexes after treatment were lower than before treatment in both groups;observational group was lower than control group and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Combination of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine could lower blood glucose and blood pressure indexes, control blood lipids and delay blood vessel aging in patients with type 2 diabetes complicated by hypertension,it is worthy of clinical popularization.
文摘“Treatment in accordance with three categories of etiologic factors”(consideration of the climatic and seasonal conditions, environment and individual’s constitution in the treatment of diseases),that is,treatment following time, place and individual,is one of the basic principles followed by Chinese medicine in the clinical treatment of diseases. This paper analyzes the similarities and differences in traditional Chinese medicine treatment of patients with epidemic diseases in different regions and periods since the Ming(1368-1644 C.E.)and Qing(1636-1912 C.E.)Dynasties.In addition, the theory of epidemic disease prevention and control based on the application of“treatment in accordance with three categories of etiologic factors”was discussed to inspire and guide the prevention and treatment of COVID-19.
