On the Weak Drop Property for Polar of Closed Bounded Convex Sets

We define and study the weak drop property for the polar of a closed bounded convex set in a Banach space which is both a generalization of the weak drop property for dual norm in a Banach space and a characterization of the sub-differential mapping x →(?)p(x) from S(X) into 2S(X) that is norm upper semi-continuous and norm compact-valued.

ON VECTOR-VALUED FUNCTION SPACES WITH HELLY'S PROPERTY

If a vector valued function space with a Hausdorff locally convex topology has a property such that every closed strongly bounded subset is compact, then we name this property Helly's property. In this paper, we show a class of vector valued function spaces with Helly's property and consider convergence of vector measures and best approximations in function spaces in this class.

HYPERCYCLICITY, SUPERCYCLICITY AND GENERALIZED RAKOEVIC'S PROPERTY

A Banach space operator satisfies generalized RakoSevi5＇s property （gw） if the complement of its upper semi B-Weyl spectrum in its approximate point spectrum is the set of eigenvalues of T which are isolated in the spectrum of T. In this note, we characterize hypecyclic and supercyclic operators satisfying the property （gw）.

IPN's PVA AND ITS CELL GROWTH PROPERTY

6 kinds of IPN's PVA were synthesized by using different monomers of HEMA, MAA and MMA. The effect of adding polysaccharide was also studied. The cell growth on them were determined and compared. The results showed that the cell growth property of the IPN's PVA with hydrophobic monomer of MMA is better, and it can be improved further by adding hyaluronic acid.

Several Properties of p-w-hyponormal Operators

In this paper, let T be a bounded linear operator on a complex Hilbert H. We give and prove that every p-w-hyponormal operator has Bishop's property(β) and spectral properties; Quasi-similar p-w-hyponormal operators have equal spectra and equal essential spectra. Finally, for p-w-hyponormal operators, we give a kind of proof of its normality by use of properties of partial isometry.

Optical and electrical characterizations of nanoparticle Cu_2S thin films

Copper sulfide thin films are deposited onto different substrates at room temperature using the thermal evaporation technique. X-ray diffraction spectra show that the film has an orthorhombicchalcocite （7-Cu2S） phase. The atomic force microscopy images indicate that the film exhibits nanoparticles with an average size of nearly 44 nm. Specrtophotometric measurements for the transmittance and reflectance are carried out at normal incidence in a spectral wavelength range of 450 nm-2500 nm. The refractive index, n, as well as the absorption index, k is calculated. Some dispersion parameters are determined. The analyses of el and e2 reveal several absorption peaks. The analysis of the spectral behavior of the absorption coefficient, c~, in the absorption region reveals direct and indirect allowed transitions. The dark electrical resistivity is studied as a function of film thickness and temperature. Tellier＇s model is adopted for determining the mean free path and bulk resistance.

Towards the Development of Mechanical Systems Entirely Based on Natural Materials

In order to mitigate the risks stemming from the utilization of mineral and synthetic organic substances,consensus exists in the literature that additional efforts should be devoted to the identification of adequate equivalent natural(ecological)materials.This work presents the outcomes of a preliminary study where the physical,mechanical,chemical and thermal properties of natural fibers have been considered.Initially,areca,and materials such as Moroccan doum and jute are considered.As a case study,a brake pad based on natural fibers is critically assessed.

Application of Well-Known Antiviral Drugs in the Field Formed by the Unexplained Properties of Low-Level Laser Radiation in Therapy of Covid-19 and Chronic Viral Hepatitis

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) or cold laser has been used in medicine for several decades. However, the method utilizes a direct contact of the light beam with a patient. Further research resulted in development of another method that enables remote transmission of the pharmacological properties of a medicament into a human body with the application of low-level laser radiation as the light source. 18 patients with different viral diseases were treated with the antiviral drugs placed into the field formed by the unexplained properties of low-level laser radiation of the “device for transfer of the pharmacological properties of a drug into the patient’s body”. This resulted in improvement of the patient’s condition, the absence of side effects and adverse reactions when using drugs in the proposed device and shortened therapy period for patients with chronic hepatitis C infection and Covid-19 patients. The long-term follow-up of the patients with chronic hepatitis B infection showed that hepatitis B virus remained at low replication levels under the influence of the therapy, which made it possible to avoid such formidable complications of the disease as cirrhosis of the liver and liver cancer.

Stability results of properties related to the Bishop-Phelps-Bollobás property for operators

We prove that the class of Banach spaces Y such that the pair(l_(1),Y)has the Bishop-Phelps-Bollobás property for operators is stable under finite products when the norm of the product is given by an absolute norm.We also provide examples showing that the previous stability results obtained for that property are optimal.

Near Convexity, Near Smoothness and Approximative Compactness of Half Spaces in Banach Spaces

The authors discuss the dual relation of nearly very convexity and property WS. By two kinds of near convexities and two kinds of near smoothness, the authors prove a series of characteriza- tions such that every half-space in Banach space X and every weak^＊ half-space in the dual space X^＊ are approximatively weakly compact and approximatively compact. They show a sufficient condition such that a Banach space X is a Asplund space. Using upper semi-continuity of duality mapping, the authors also give two characterizations of property WS and property S.

Physical properties of WSTi3515S burn-resistant titanium alloy

Development of burn-resistant titanium alloys is the most direct way of mitigating the ignition and propagation of titanium fires in jet engines. WSTi3515S alloy（Ti–35V–15Cr–0.3Si–0.1C） is a new high alloying beta type burn-resistant titanium alloy, belonging to Ti–V–Cr type alloys which have been made significant progress in engineering technology in the past 5 years. The physical properties of WSTi3515S burn-resistant titanium alloy such as the elastic properties and thermal properties were measured and analyzed in different conditions. The results show that both the Young＇s modulus and shear modulus of WSTi3515S alloy decrease slightly with the temperature increasing at the tested temperature range. The Poisson＇s ratio of WSTi3515S alloy is around 0.36. However, the thermal properties such as the specific heat, thermal diffusivity, thermal conductivity and thermal expansion increase with the temperature increasing, which results from the strengthening of lattice heat vibration at elevated temperature. And the room temperature density of WSTi3515S alloy is 5.295 gácm^（-3）.

Atomic force microscopy studies on cellular elastic and viscoelastic properties

In this work, a method based on atomic force microscopy (AFM) approach-reside-retract experiments was established to simultaneously quantify the elastic and viscoelastic properties of single cells. First, the elastic and viscoelastic properties of normal breast cells and cancerous breast cells were measured, showing significant differences in Young’s modulus and relaxation times between normal and cancerous breast cells. Remarkable differences in cellular topography between normal and cancerous breast cells were also revealed by AFM imaging. Next, the elastic and viscoelasitc properties of three other types of cell lines and primary normal B lymphocytes were measured; results demonstrated the potential of cellular viscoelastic properties in complementing cellular Young’s modulus for discerning different states of cells. This research provides a novel way to quantify the mechanical properties of cells by AFM, which allows investigation of the biomechanical behaviors of single cells from multiple aspects.

Synthesis of γ-Ce_2S_3 colorant under low temperature and its coloring properties for PE and PVC

A series of cerium sulfides were successfully prepared using commercially available nanoscale CeO_2 as precursor, anhydrous Na_2CO_3 as dopants, CS_2 as sulfur source, under 600–800 oC, respectively. Properties of samples were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction（XRD）, scanning electron microscopy（SEM） and spectrophotometry. The results showed that corresponding γ-Ce_2S_3 with small size was obtained by using nanoscale CeO_2 as precursor; pure phase γ-Ce_2S_3 could be obtained under low temperature of 700 oC. Coloring properties of γ-Ce_2S_3 obtained under 800 oC were studied by researching γ-Ce_2S_3/PE and γ-Ce_2S_3/PVC composites, respectively. The results showed that satisfied coloring effects to PE and PVC were obtained by using 0.5 phr and 0.2 phr γ-Ce_2S_3, respectively.

The Decomposability for Operator Matrices and Perturbations

Let X and Y be Banach spaces.For A∈L(X),B∈L(Y),C∈L(Y,X),let MCbe the operator matrix defined on X⊕Y by M_(C)=(AC0B)∈L(X⊕Y).In this paper we investigate the decomposability for MC.We consider Bishop’s property(β),decomposition property(δ)and Dunford’s property(C)and obtain the relationship of these properties between M_(C) and its entries.We explore how σ_(*)(M_(C))shrinks from σ_(*)(A)∪σ_(*)(B),where σ_(*)denotes σ_(β),σ_(δ),σ_(C),σ_(dec).In particular,we develop some sufficient conditions for equality σ_(*)(MC)=σ_(*)(A)∪σ_(*)(B).Besides,we consider the perturbation of these properties for MCand show that in perturbing with certain operators C the properties for MCkeeps with A,B.Some examples are given to illustrate our results.Furthermore,we study the decomposability for(0AB0).Finally,we give applications of decomposability for operator matrices.
