The dependences of the power loss per cycle on frequency f and amplitude flux density Bm have been investigated for the three main original magnetic states in five sorts of Fe-based nanocrystalline soft magnetic alloys in the ranges of 10 Hz<=f<=1000 Hz and 0.4 T<= Bm <=1.0 T. The total loss P is decomposed into the sum of the hysteresis loss Physt, the classical eddy current loss Pel and the excess loss Pexc. Physt has been found to be proportional to Bm^2 and f. The behavior of Pexc/f vs f being equivalent to P/f vs f clearly exhibits nonlinearity in the range not more than about 120 Hz, whereas the behavior of P/f vs f roughly shows linearity in the range far above 100 Hz and not more than 1000 Hz. In the range up to 1000 Hz, Physt is dominant in the original high permeability state and the state of low residual flux density, whereas Pexc in the state of high residual flux density is dominant in the wider range above about 100 Hz. The framework of the statistical theory of power loss has been used for representing the behavior of Pexc/f vs f. It has been found that the number n of the simultaneously active 'Magnetic Objects' linearly varies as n = n0 + Hexc/H0 as a function of the dynamic field Hexc in the range below about 120 Hz, whereas n approximately follows a law of the form n = n0 + (Hexc/H0)^m with 1 < m < 2 in the range far above 100 Hz and not more than 1000 Hz. The values of the field HO in principle related to the microstructure and the domain structure have been calculated for the three states. 展开更多

Strong earthquakes generally rupture along active faults, and associated ground motion can cause earthquake disasters, property losses, and casualties from kilometers to tens of kilometers away. Therefore, one of the most effective ways to find earthquake’s dangerous parts of faults is to study the seismic hazards on fault segments. After that,we can also evaluate the probabilities of landslides hazard, property losses, and casualties. In this study, using fault slip rates and magnitude-frequency relationship as constraints,we calculated the earthquake occurrence rates for the segments along the Xianshuihe-Xiaojiang fault zone.We obtained 11 sites of single-segment or multi-segment rupturing risk.We also provided these potential events conditional probabilities in the next 30 years. For the 11 potential earthquakes,we calculated the property loss of residential buildings in the ground motion field. The most significant property loss is CNY 7.65 billion caused by the single-segment rupturing of the F19 segment on the Anninghe fault. We applied the deep learning neural network method in predicting the number of casualties for the potential earthquakes, showing that the most significant event is the multi-segment rupturing of the F29 and F30 segments on the Anninghe fault with the predicted death number of 279-317.We also evaluated the probabilities of earthquake landslides after the potential earthquakes. The results show that areas with intense compressional tectonic stress are highly unstable and prone to earthquake induced landslides, including the southern section of the Yuke fault, the southern section of the Xianshuihe fault, and the conjugated area between the southern section of the Daliangshan fault and the Lianfeng fault. These areas have a considerable number of earthquake landslides with probabilities>10%.The methodology and results will give us a new effective way of applying active fault data in earthquake hazard and risk analysis and provide a scientific path for earthquake prevention, disaster reduction, and emergency rescue preparation. 展开更多

This paper reports crystal structures, magnetic properties and thermal stability of TbCu7-type Sm(8.5)Fe((85.8-x)Co(4.5)Zr(1.2)Nbx(x = 0-1.8) melt-spun compounds and their nitrides, investigated by means of X-ray diffraction, vibrating sample magnetometer, flux meter and transmission electron microscope. It is found that the lattice parameter ratio c/a of TbCu7-type crystal structure increases with Nb substitution, which indicates that the Nb can increase the stability of the metastable phase in the Sm-Fe ribbons. Nb substitution impedes the formation of magnetic soft phase a-Fe in which reversed domains initially form during the magnetization reversal process. Meanwhile, Nb substitution refines grains and leads to homogeneous micro structure with augmented grain boundaries. Thus the exchange coupling pining field is enhanced and irreversible domain wall propagation gets suppressed. As a result, the magnetic properties are improved and the irreversible flux loss of magnets is notably decreased. A maximum value 771.7 kA/m of the intrinsic coercivity H(cj) is achieved in the 1.2 at% substituted samples. The irreversible flux loss for 2 h exposure at 120 ℃ declines from 8.26% for Nb-free magnets to 6.32% for magnets with 1.2 at% Nb substitution. 展开更多
