Research Progress of Water Environment Protection in Historical and Cultural Towns and Villages

This study reviews research papers on the protection of water environment in historical and cultural towns and villages,summarizes present research tendencies from the perspectives of definition,classification and selection of water environment in historical and cultural towns and villages,influence of water environment on these towns and villages,proposes suggestions for improvement,and concludes characteristics and deficiencies of these researches,in order to provide references for future water environment protection in similar sites.

Protection of Historic and Cultural Heritage in the Urban Renewal of Xi'an City,China

Concept of urban renewal was elaborated,which for the protection of historic and cultural heritage not only provides a favorable opportunity of integrating neighboring environment and improving protection conditions,but also imposes threats such as destroying its historic images and patterns,degrading of survival environment.To properly protect historic and cultural heritage in the unceasing urban renewal,and make it a significant resource and feature of the city but not a barrier of urban development,empirical analysis and theoretical research were adopted to analyze and study current conditions and problems of the protection of historic and cultural heritage in Xi'an City from the dimension of urban renewal concept and present urban renewal of Xi'an.Moreover,through summarizing successful experience of other regions,specific strategies were given to protect historic and cultural heritage of Xi'an City in its urban renewal more scientifically and reasonably.

Gradual Protection and Renewal of Historical and Cultural Blocks:A Case Study ofLaobeimen Historical Block in Leping City,Jiangxi Province

With the acceleration of urbanization process,there are many practical diffi culties in the renewalplanning,protection and development of some historical relics and blocks with cultural heritage in theprocess of rebuilding and rejuvenating of old blocks in many cities.Laobeimen Historical Block in LepingCity,Jiangxi Province is taken as the research object,and the method of progressive protection and renewalof historical and cultural block is explored.

The Research on Protection of Historical and Cultural Towns and Villages in China

After the discussion of the protection process and significance for historical and cultural towns and villages and the introduction of survey and theoretical researches on them,five modes had been divided for the protection of historical and cultural towns and villages in China,which were original appearance protection,renovated utilization protection,removal protection,antique imitation development and real estate development.It had pointed out problems existing in historical and cultural villages' protection,which were that policies and regulations were incomplete and protective measures were laggard;leaders decided blindly and neglected experts' opinions;immediate interest had been highlighted and sustainable development been overlooked,capitals were lacked and management was disordered,and the publicity was insufficient and the masses had no high protection consciousness.On this basis,it had discussed the protection of historical and cultural towns and villages in the future,emphasized the completion of regulatory system and management mechanism,enhance capital investment and publicity education,and deeply explore material cultural heritages and non-material cultural heritages in historical and cultural villages,finally further studying the theories and cases.

Protection and Development of Famous Historic and Cultural Cities Guided by Tourism Culture Geography:A Case Study of Ancient Pingyao City

By introducing cultural landscape theories and attaching importance to practical application of theories, this paper analyzed protection and development of ancient Pingyao City under the guidance of relevant theories. Taking Pingyao for example, application of theories in practices will be better understood, and the role of human geography in urban planning reflected. Referring to the protection and development cases of famous historic and cultural cities, this paper analyzed historical and cultural context, and spatial environment of Ancient Pingyao City from the perspectives of culture and geography, and proposed suggestions for the protection and development of ancient city under the guidance of human geography theories.

Protection and Development of Dongguan Historical and Cultural Block in Yangzhou

Dongguan Street in Yangzhou is a block composed of ancient buildings left over from theMing and Qing Dynasties.Three major gardens in Yangzhou,Ge Garden,Ho Family Garden and XieGarden,are located in the block.Due to the proximity to Dongguan ancient ferry,a large number ofgardens gathered forming the famous Dongguan Street in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.The protectionand restoration of Dongguan Street should focus on not only the preservation and restoration of historicalrelics,but also the maintenance and renewal of traditional cultural environment,to make the new functionsand vitality adapt to its characteristics.Moreover,historical towns and blocks will maintain harmonious andunifi ed development,and adapt to the sustainable development of Yangzhou City.

Research on Protection Methods of Historic and Cultural Villages in Zhejiang Province

By the investigation of a few historical and cultural villages in Zhejiang Province,some problems during the process of protecting these villages were found,like similar construction pattern,coarse quality of construction,etc. which caused that villages were losing their characters. For this situation,the protection method of historical cultural villages was put forward,which was that to connect excavating character of different village with maintaining spatial fabrics of historical villages,and that different classes of building should have corresponding protection approach. Some advices were proposed for repairing and promoting historic and cultural elements,natural environment,and constructing infrastructure in the village,which will provide a reference for the construction of other historical and cultural villages.

Dynamic Protection Planning and Industrial Upgrading of Shengjinta Historic Block in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province

Starting with cultural context of historic block, this paper investigated current situation of Shengjinta Historic Block in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, proposed dynamic protection planning and sustainable industrial upgrading strategies, specifically, by repairing, clearing, preserving and restoring historic streets and lanes, courtyards and folk dwel ings from six perspectives of planar layout, traffic pattern, spatial texture, facade decoration, landscape planning, and characteristic culture. In view of the specifi c geographical location, food shops and leisure green spaces are constructed to build a modern urban living system for residents in the ancient block.

Value Analysis and Protective Planning of Famous Historical and Cultural Villages: A Case Study of Ancient Sangyuan Village in Jishui County, Jiangxi Province

Through analyzing historical value of patriarchal society, village layout, and characteristic folk dwel ings in Ancient Sangyuan Village, Jishui County, Jiangxi Province, this paper proposed the protective planning based on the gist of protecting villagers' benefits, applied classified protection of buildings, enhanced water protection and landscape design, and tried to carry out its intangible cultures via folk custom activities, in order to further develop the value of its historical and cultural resources.

Protective Renovation of the Historical Environment of Traffic Cultural Heritage:Necessity and Feasibility

Starting from the reality of protective renovation of the historical environment of traffic cultural heritage,this paper discusses its necessity from the role and value of protective renovation of historical environment on overall protection of traffic cultural heritage and contemporary value exploration.By analyzing the current research status of traffic history,protection theories and methods of historical environment,cultural routes,linear cultural landscape and heritage corridors and other theoretical methods,as well as the effectiveness of digital protection and other technical approaches,this paper demonstrates the theoretical basis and feasible technical approaches for protective renovation of the historical environment of traffic cultural heritage.Moreover,it is suggested to construct the historical environment evaluation system of traffic cultural heritage and form a systematic design process of protective renovation.

Protection and Renewal of Historic Blocks Based on the Theory of SelfOrganization: A Case Study of Si Street and Xinanying in Nantong City

In recent years, due to the neglect of the sodal authenticity of historic blocks, a large number of residential historic blocks ate protected and reformed by means of commercial development, which is controversial. Other unreconstructed residential neighborhoods ate faced with the rngent need to improve their living conditions. Based on the current analysis of the status of protection of residential historic blocks in Qiina, a protection and renewal mode of self-organization was proposed in this paper for the Si Street and Xinanying in Nantong Qty in response to the problems facing them. Combined with the cases of protection and renewal of histone blocks on botii sides of Taiwan Strait, opinions and suggestions were put forward for Si Street and Xinanying in order to better guide die implementation of the protection of tiiese historic blocks, effectively improve tiie living conditions of the residents and make the neighborhoods protected in a true, complete and long-term manner.

Research on the Public Perception of Yangzhou Historical and Cultural Districts Based on Network Review Text Analysis

The historical and cultural districts of a city serve as important cultural heritage and tourism resources.This paper focused on four such districts in Yangzhou and performed semantic analysis on online public comments using ROST CM6 software.According to the high frequency words,attention preference of district site elements,activities and feelings in Yangzhou historical and cultural districts were analyzed.Through the analysis of semantic network and public emotional tendency,the relationship between the protection and utilization of Yangzhou historical and cultural districts and the perception and demand of users were discussed,and some suggestions for the protection,utilization and renewal of historical and cultural districts were put forward.

The landscape style and features of historical and cultural blocks in Handan show the landscape characteristics of Handan in the specific cultural and historical period.To explore the landscape style and features of historical and cultural blocks in Handan is of great practical significance to maintain the characteristics of historical and cultural blocks,improve city quality,continue city culture and retain cultural characteristics.According to the advantaged natural geography,human geography factors and the current situation of landscape style and features in Handan City,this study discussed the landscape style and features of historical and cultural blocks through practical investigation and scientific research,found out the main problems and put forward corresponding protection and promotion strategies,in order to create a landscape pattern of historical and cultural blocks with cultural connotation,harmony and order,and distinctive characteristics.

The Landscape Style and Features of Historical and Cultural Blocks in Zhengding,Hebei Province,China

Historical and cultural blocks in Zhengding are important parts of China’s famous historical and cultural city.Combined with the natural geography,human geography factors and the current situation of landscape style and features of the historical and cultural blocks and through practical investigation and scientific research,the protection and development law of the historical and cultural blocks in Zhengding was discussed,the main problems existing were found out,and suggestions for the protection and improvement of the historical and cultural blocks in Zhengding was put forward based on the results of questionnaire survey and psychological evaluation,in order to create a harmonious and orderly,profound culture and distinctive historical and cultural landscape style and features.

Implications for Cultural Landscape in a Chinese Context: Geo-analysis of Spatial Distribution of Historic Sites

The protection of historic sites, especially their relationship with urban development, has become a worldwide issue, both in developed and developing countries. In the context of rapid urbanization in China, the realistic compatibility between urban construction and the protection of historic sites is always a key research topic. In this study, first, to comprehend their spatial distribution patterns, 828 historic sites throughout the country are selected based on certain criteria. Then, we conduct quantitative research using GIS software, adopting indicators that include Nearest Neighbor Index, Gini Coefficient, and Geographic Concentration Index to analyze the spatial characteristics of historic sites on the three levels of city, province and nation. The results indicate that the spatial distribution of the different types of historic sites is an agglomeration on the nationwide scale, most of which is located in the regions of the Pearl(Zhujiang) River Delta, Yangtze(Changjiang) River Delta and Beijing-Tianjin Region. Because the majority of historic sites are located within approximately 10 km of the downtown area, a certain pattern has emerged, showing that the larger cities own more historic areas, which are in a more incomplete state of preservation, indicating the fragmentation of heritage spaces. The formation mechanism of the historic sites' distribution pattern is based on the conditions of the cities/towns as well as the bid-rent theory.

Style and Feature Construction of Handan Chuancheng Street from the Perspective of Style and Features

Rapid urbanization and ignorance of the characteristics of the city have led to all cities in the same pattern in China,homogeneity of the urban material space,and lack of humanistic spirits.With the development and transformation,China has paid increasing attention to the characteristics of cities,and the historic and cultural block is the most representative carrier of the traditional style of a city.Taking the historic and cultural block of Chuancheng Street in Handan City as an example,this paper combined Handan's urban style and features,started from the status quo of the block,analyzed the design positioning,explored the style and feature elements,and finally proposed the style and feature construction strategy of Chuancheng Street,explored from the perspective of style and feature creation the strategies of building the traditional style for historic and cultural blocks.

历史文化名城保护立法路径的优化研究

在新时代背景下,我国对历史文化保护传承给予了前所未有的高度重视,2021年9月《关于在城乡建设中加强历史文化保护传承的意见》为历史文化名城立法保护传承提供了新思路,并推动了《历史文化名城名镇名村保护条例》的修订与完善。为响应国家号召,各省市积极行动,纷纷制定出台地方性的保护条例,旨在加强对历史文化名城的保护与传承。在历史文化名城立法保护的过程中,如何实现正确的立法模式的选择并且合理优化立法路径成为重要的议题。从历史文化名城立法保护的现状出发,积极探索适合我国国情的立法模式,提出综合性立法模式的适当性建议,同时注重立法路径的优化,通过内部提升和外部协调两条路径,促进立法保护的科学性与合理性,旨在确保历史文化名城得到更为全面、深入的保护,促进历史文化名城保护传承的持续健康发展。
