In order to explore the criminal psychological mechanism of burglars,this study adopts the qualitative research method of grounded theory to conduct in-depth interviews with 41 burglars in two prisons in Jiangxi Provi...In order to explore the criminal psychological mechanism of burglars,this study adopts the qualitative research method of grounded theory to conduct in-depth interviews with 41 burglars in two prisons in Jiangxi Province,China.Nvivo 11.0 was used to code-construct and qualitatively analyze the interview content in order to refine the influencing factors and psychological evolution process of burglary behavior.Thefindings revealed that(1)burglary risk factors include burglary cognition,burglary motivation,burglary decision-making,delinquent peers,burglary opportunity,and incomplete reformation.(2)There are three stages in the psychological evolution pro-cess of burglars:cognitive formation,motivational dominance,and behavioral decision.(3)The interpretation of the criminal psychological mechanism of burglars is a comprehensive and dynamic outcome of the interaction of internal and external factors that shape the individual.Participants’inspection and non-participants’inspection were adapted to verify the research results’validity,which showed that the results were reliable.展开更多

The physical mechanism of educational inequality is manifested in the poor health of migrant workers' children and their devalued behavior. Targeting these physical and psychological mechanisms, we have designed two simple but effective intervention strategies to raise the children's academic achievement: passing on the incremental theory of intelligence and establishing a multiple assessment system. These intervention strategies effectively improved the children's academic performance, increased their identification with learning, and lowered the stereotype threat. It is hoped that these strategies can be applied to the new generation of migrant workers entering the labor market.展开更多

He developed the idea of shiming (时命), or the...The discussion of the conceptual system of the Chinese is, to a large extent, inseparable from Confucian thought, and its analysis should start from Confucius himself. He developed the idea of shiming (时命), or the mandate of the times, after the idea of deming (德命), or the mandate of virtue, encountered repeated setbacks. Shiming challenged the idea that "Heaven is aligned with the virtuous," and coping with this challenge required an ultimate worldview of a more original nature. Confucius formed his ultimate world view of "benevolence" (ren ~) through the interaction between his internal and external psychological framework and his reflections and realizations. Gripped by this idea, he cultivated inward virtue and adhered to the Way while outwardly practicing benevolence, with the goal of becoming "a sage within and a king without." The balancing of the interior and the exterior was the key to enjoying a rich and meaningful life.展开更多
