Methods: Self-administered questionnaires were sent to 7170 PHNs in 10 prefectu...Objective: The purpose of this study was to develop a career-orientation scale for public health nurses (PHNs) and to validate the scale. Methods: Self-administered questionnaires were sent to 7170 PHNs in 10 prefectures. A retest survey was sent to 252 participants. Results: The valid responses from 2003 PHNs in the first survey were analyzed for major factors by varimax rotation. The analysis resulted in five orientation factors and 19 items being selected. The cumulative contribution ratio was 46.9%, and Cronbach’s coefficient alpha was 0.863. The exact match ratio of test-retest was 59.7% (from 47.7% to 72.1% for each item and from 12.0% to 92.0% for each participant). Conclusions: The reliability and validity of this survey were confirmed;however, further research is required to confirm the reproducibility. This scale can be used as a self-assessment tool when managers need to advise their staff on career development.展开更多

This paper aims to achieve these key objectives： （1） to measure the extent to which Libyan tourism businesses embrace the market orientation concept; （2） to evaluate the private and public tourism businesses＇ pe...This paper aims to achieve these key objectives： （1） to measure the extent to which Libyan tourism businesses embrace the market orientation concept; （2） to evaluate the private and public tourism businesses＇ performance; （3） to identify the link between market orientation and tourism businesses＇ performances; and （4） to test the influence of ownership and organisational positions on market orientation-business performance relationship. A number of 582 questionnaires were distributed to high-level executives and clerks in tourism businesses in Libya. The key finding is that there is a growth in market orientation adoption. The performance of the private businesses is judged to be much better than the public one. There is a positive correlation between market orientation and tourism businesses＇ performance. This link is much stronger in the private sector. The market orientation in tourism sector is a critical element to drive business performance even in the less competitive environment such as Libya. The value of the paper is that it is the first paper to focus on market orientation in tourism sector in Libya. Therefore, the paper enriches the marketing literature with findings from the Arabic and North African region. Practically, the paper demonstrates the importance of market orientation to improve the Libyan tourism sector performance. Hence, international businesses, Libyan Government, tourism sector managers and employees should benefit from the results of the study. The paper concludes with limitations and future researches.展开更多
A novel broadcast encryption scheme for group communication scenarios in distributed networks is presented. Each member in...A novel broadcast encryption scheme for group communication scenarios in distributed networks is presented. In the scheme, anyone is allowed to encrypt a message and distribute it to a designated group. Each member in the designated group has the ability to independently decrypt a ciphertext. In contrast to traditional broadcast encryption, all the valid receivers in the proposed scheme compose the designated group. To take advantage of this property, a tab for the group is set and the matching private key for each member is generated. In addition, before decrypting a ciphertext, anyone in the scheme can verify the ciphertext, to ensure that the ciphertext is correct. This property is very important for large-scale group communication, as the gateway can filter incorrect ciphertext and alleviate the receiver＇s workload. Finally, a proof in the random oracle model is given, to show that the proposed scheme is secure against the adaptively chosen ciphertext attack.展开更多
