A digital pulse analysis system is an important diagnostic system in nuclear physics experimental research.In response to the demand for reflecting the particle state in a nuclear physics experiment,we have designed a...A digital pulse analysis system is an important diagnostic system in nuclear physics experimental research.In response to the demand for reflecting the particle state in a nuclear physics experiment,we have designed and developed a real-time digital pulse analysis system and applied it to the digital nuclear pulse waveform discrimination of different detectors in the HL-2M tokamak.The system is based on the peripheral component interconnect extensions for instrumentation(PXI)platform,while its software was written in LABVIEW.The key technologies involved in the system implementation include digital pulse analysis technology,digital discrimination technology,pulse height analysis technology,etc.The system has been applied to the plastic scintillator detector at the Neutron Source Lab of the University of Science and Technology of China.And the experimental results indicate that the system can discriminate between neutron(n)particles and gamma(γ)particles well when used to measure the plastic scintillator detector.展开更多

Finite element method is applied to analyzed the temperature field in the solder ball, and experi- ment is conducted to test the vibration. the results show that,that, the temperature field flucturates with the same frequency as that of the laser pulse, which in turn causes a forced vibration of the same frequency in the liquid solder ball.展开更多
On the basis of economic data from 1978 to 2006,the co-integration theory is applied to discuss the relation between agricultural financial investment and farmers' income.The statistic AR model is obtained.Then,it...On the basis of economic data from 1978 to 2006,the co-integration theory is applied to discuss the relation between agricultural financial investment and farmers' income.The statistic AR model is obtained.Then,it makes pulse response analysis in combination with principle of pulse response analysis.The regression results show that support in agricultural production,various agricultural operating expenses and three types of costs for agricultural science and technology are favorable to farmers' income,while expenditure in agricultural capital construction and rural relief costs hinder increase of farmers' income.The results of pulse response analysis indicate that the change in support of agricultural production and various agricultural operating expenses have positive impact on farmers' net income,and the impact is greater and greater from the second year;the response of expenditure in agricultural capital construction and rural relief cost is positive in the beginning and starts to fluctuate from the third year;the pulse response of three types of costs for agricultural science and technology is negative,lasts about five periods,and then turns to positive impact.Finally,combining characteristics of China's financial support for agriculture,it concludes that the scale,proportion and structure of financial support for agriculture are quite improper.展开更多
The ultralow detection threshold,ultralow intrinsic background,and excellent energy resolution of ptype point-contact germanium detectors are important for rare-event searches,in particular for the detection of direct...The ultralow detection threshold,ultralow intrinsic background,and excellent energy resolution of ptype point-contact germanium detectors are important for rare-event searches,in particular for the detection of direct dark matter interactions,coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering,and neutrinoless double beta decay.Anomalous bulk events with an extremely fast rise time are observed in the CDEX-1B detector.We report a method of extracting fast bulk events from bulk events using a pulse shape simulation and reconstructed source experiment signature.Calibration data and the distribution of X-rays generated by intrinsic radioactivity verified that the fast bulk experienced a single hit near the passivation layer.The performance of this germanium detector indicates that it is capable of single-hit bulk spatial resolution and thus provides a background removal technique.展开更多

CO can thus be manipulated by alteration in heart rate or rhythm, preload, contractili...Cardiac output(CO) is the volume of blood ejected by each ventricle per minute and is the product of stroke volume and heart rate. CO can thus be manipulated by alteration in heart rate or rhythm, preload, contractility and afterload. Moreover it gives important information about tissue perfusion and oxygen delivery. CO can be measured by various methods and thermodilution method using pulmonary artery catheter(PAC) is till date considered as gold standard method. Complications associated with PAC led to development of newer methods which are minimally or non-invasive. Newer methods fulfil other properties like continuous and reproducible reading, cost effective, reliable during various physiological states and have fast response time. These methods are validated against the gold standard with good level agreement. In this review we have discussed various newer methods of CO monitoring and their effectiveness in clinical use.展开更多
A soft x-ray Pulse Height Analysis (PHA) diagnostic with the recently introduced Silicon Drift Detector (SDD) and a new MCA system has been installed in HT-7 for the measurements of electron temperature. With the SDD ...A soft x-ray Pulse Height Analysis (PHA) diagnostic with the recently introduced Silicon Drift Detector (SDD) and a new MCA system has been installed in HT-7 for the measurements of electron temperature. With the SDD detector, the x-ray emission can be detected in the energy range from 1 keV up to 20 keV. The extremely low anode capacity of SDD allows very high counting rates of x-ray above 200 kHz and short shaping times below 0.25 μs to be measurede. In routine operation a counting rate of 120 kHz has been normally obtained with an energy resolution of better than 180 eV at 5.9 keV. The assembly is equipped with six SDD detectors measuring the soft x-ray emission integrated along six chords of the upper half plasma cross section. The preliminary results from the new soft x-ray PHA diagnostic are also presented in this paper.展开更多

The algorithm includes two parts, pulse classification and pulse repetition interval (PRI) analysis....A multi-parameter signal sorting algorithm for interleaved radar pulses in dense emitter environment is presented. The algorithm includes two parts, pulse classification and pulse repetition interval (PRI) analysis. Firstly, we propose the dynamic distance clustering (DDC) for classification. In the clustering algorithm, the multi-dimension features of radar pulse are used for reliable classification. The similarity threshold estimation method in DDC is derived, which contributes to the efficiency of the algorithm. However, DDC has large computation with many signal pulses. Then, in order to sort radar signals in real time, the improved DDC (IDDC) algorithm is proposed. Finally, PRI analysis is adopted to complete the process of sorting. The simulation experiments and hardware implementations show both algorithms are effective.展开更多

The PAA method can be used as a substitute for the traditional method of pulse height analysis (PHA). In the PAA method a commercial digitizer was employed to sample and sum in the pulse, and the area of the pulse is proportional to the energy of the detected radiation. The results of simulation and experiment indicate the great advantages of the PAA method, especially as the count rate is high and the shaping time constant is small. When the shaping time constant is 0.5 μs, the energy resolution of PAA is about 66% better than that of PHA.展开更多

It is demonstrated that changing the elliptic parameter is efficient for controlling both in-pulse and post-pulse molecular alignment and orientation. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effectiveness of Shoushen granule,Chinese herbal preparation,on carotid artery elasticity in patients with carotid atherosclerosis.METHODS: The total of 156 carotid atherosclerosis patien...OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effectiveness of Shoushen granule,Chinese herbal preparation,on carotid artery elasticity in patients with carotid atherosclerosis.METHODS: The total of 156 carotid atherosclerosis patients were randomly divided into the intervention group(83 cases,treated with Shoushen granule) and the control group(73 cases,treated with pravastatin). Brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity(ba PWV) and Ankle-Brachial Pressure Index(ABI)were measured by automated arteriosclerosis detector. The changes of common carotid artery intima-media thickness(IMT) and parameters of the carotid artery elasticity in patients,including stiffness parameter(β),pressure-strain elastic modulus(Ep),arterial compliance(Ac),augmentation index(AI),and pulse wave velocity β(PWVβ) were detected by Echo-Tracking(ET) technique before and after 24 week treatment. In the meantime,levels of blood lipid,and liver and renal function were measured respectively.RESULTS: After 24 weeks,ba PWV,IMT and parameters of the carotid artery elasticity(β,Ep,AI and PWVβ) were markedly decreased in intervention group compared with those of before treatment(P < 0.01),but the level of Ac was increased significantly(P < 0.01). And there were no significant differences compared with control group on the same period(P > 0.05).CONCLUSION: In this pilot study,it was demonstrated ET technology and automated arteriosclerosis detector could be used to evaluate carotid artery elasticity effectively,and the action of Shoushen granule on carotid atherosclerosis might be related to the regulation of carotid artery elasticity.展开更多
