Subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation has become a standard neurosurgical therapy for ad- vanced Parkinson's disease. Subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation can dramatically improve the motor symptoms of carefully selected patients with this disease. Surprisingly, some specific dimensions of quality of life, "psychological" aspects and social adjustment do not always improve, and they could sometimes be even worse. Patients and their families should fully understand that subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation can alter the motor status and time is needed to readapt to their new postoperative state and lifestyles. This paper reviews the literatures regarding effects of bilateral subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation on social adjustment, quality of life and coping strategies in patients with Parkinson's disease. The findings may help to understand the psychoso-cial maladjustment and poor improvement in quality of life in some Parkinson's disease patients. 展开更多

The effects of different feeds and feeding regimes on growth performance, flesh quality and fecal viscosity of Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar L.) in recirculating aquaculture systems (R.AS) were investigated. Fish (initial body weight of 1677 g+ 157 g) were fed with four commercial feeds (Nosan salmon-NS, Aller gold-AG, Skretting salmon-SS and Hart ye-HY) in two feeding regimes (80% and 100% satiation) for 78 d. The results showed that salmon specific growth ratio (SGR) and weight gain ratio (WGR) were significantly affected by feed type and feeding regime (P〈0.05). Feed conversion ratio (FCR) varied between 0.93 and 3.40, which was significantly affected by feed type (P〈0.05), and slightly improved with increased satiation degree. The activities of digestive enzymes including protease, lipase and amylase were also significantly affected by feed type and feeding regime (P〈0.05), increasing with satiation degree. Flesh qualities for vitamin E, hydroxyproline (HYP), liquid loss and muscle pH among all groups showed significant differences (P〈0.05), ranging from 26.67 to 29.67, while no obvious difference was found in flesh color. Fecal viscosity for different treatments showed no significant difference, though improvement was found in 100% satiation group. From present experiment, it was concluded that both feed type and feeding regime can affect the important quality attributes of Atlantic salmon. 展开更多

The need to prevent cancer leads the authors to propose three innovative courses of cancer as categories of disease. Theobjectives of the research are to study the impact of different factors on adaptation to the recurrence of cancer and to assess the qualityof life, the anxiety as a state and the depression as a state and the evolution of the disease on a period of three months. During thislongitudinal and prospective study, the author met 32 subjects after announcing the recurrence of their cancer, and saw again 21 of them,three months later. In two times of the study, the author made fill out several questionnaires concerning various variables. The mainresults allow showing that the majority of the subjects did not present new recurrence of cancer and that the use of the Fighting spiritstrategy is representative of them. The author's linear regressions and the author's comparisons of averages allowed the authors severalrelations about to different categories of disease. Supporting therapies and management programs for stress would be beneficial for thepatients who have recurrence of their cancer. 展开更多

[Objective] This study was performed to determine the effects of sowing dates and sites on grain quality and Rapid Viscosity Analyzer (RVA) profile of Nan-jing 46. [Method] The field experiments were carried out at five sites in Jiangsu Province, and in every site, the seeds were sowing on seven different dates. RVA related indices were measured after harvest. [Result] Along with the delay of sowing date, the mil ing quality of Nanjing 46 increased at first and then reduced, while its appearance quality went up and the cooling and edible quality decreased. With the sowing sites moving southward, the rice mil ing quality, appearance quality, and cooling and edible quality of Nanjing 46 decreased at first and then increased. Grain traits responded variably to the sowing dates and sites. The brown rice rate, grain width, grain length, length/width, mil ed rice rate and head mil ed rice rate were less affected, while the chalky rice rate and chalkiness degree were more af-fected. The gelatinization temperature, protein content, amylose content, gel consis-tency and eating value were in-between. The RVA profile analysis revealed that the breakdown value, setback value and pasting temperature were affected by the sow-ing date and geographical environment. The peak viscosity, hot viscosity, cool vis-cosity and peak time were influenced more by geographical environment. With the delay of the sowing date, peak viscosity, hot viscosity, cool viscosity, setback value and pasting temperature decreased at first and then increased, while the breakdown value changed inversely, and the peak time did not exhibit a regular trend. With the decrease of latitude, the peak viscosity, hot viscosity, breakdown and cool viscosity declined at first and then increased, the setback value and peak time decreased, while the pasting temperature increased. An experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of chalkiness on cooking, eating and nutrition qualities of rice using Gangyou 527 (indica hybrid rice) and Zhaiyeqing 8 (conventional indica rice) as materials. Compared with the milled rice without chalkiness, amylose content, final viscosity, setback and consistence increased significantly, while gel consistence, peak viscosity and breakdown decreased remarkably and other RVA values did not have significant changes in the chalky rice of Gangyou 527. The differences in the above indices between the chalky and non-chalky rice was not remarkable in Zhaiyeqing 8. The crude protein content of chalky rice in Zhaiyeqing 8 was significantly lower than that of non-chalky rice, but there was no remarkable change between the chalky and non-chalky rice in Gangyou 527. Glutelin content fell significantly, and albumin, globulin, prolamine and lysine contents did not change significantly in chalky rice compared with non-chalky rice in the two varieties. 展开更多

The seasonal variation characteristics of the water quality of the Jinpen Reservoir and the impacts of rainfall runoff on the reservoir were investigated. Water quality monitoring results indicated that, during the stable stratification period, the maximum concentrations of total ni- trogen, total phosphorus, ammonia nitrogen, total organic carbon, iron ion, and manganese ion in the water at the reservoir bottom on September 6 reached 2.5 mg/L, 0.12 mg/L, 0.58 mg/L, 3.2 mg/L, 0.97 mg/L, and 0.32 rag/L, respectively. Only heavy storm runoff can affect the main reservoir and cause the water quality to seriously deteriorate. During heavy storms, the stratification of the reservoir was destroyed, and the reservoir water quality consequently deteriorated due to the high-turbidity particulate phosphorus and organic matter in runoff. The turbidity and concentrations of total phosphorus and total organic carbon in the main reservoir increased to 265 NTU, 0.224 mg/L, and 3.9 mg/L, respectively. Potential methods of dealing with the water problems in the Jinpen Reservoir are proposed. Both in stratification and in storm periods, the use of measures such as adjusting intake height, storing clean water, and releasing turbid flow can be helpful to safeguarding the quality of water supplied to the water treatment plants. 展开更多

The response of grain quality traits to cold-water irrigation and its correlation with cold tolerance were studied in 11 japonica rice varieties from Yunnan Province, China. The results indicated that the response of grain quality traits to the cold-water stress varied with rice varieties and grain quality traits. Under the cold-water stress, grain width, chalky rice rate, whiteness, 1000-grain weight, brown rice rate, taste meter value, peak viscosity, trough viscosity, breakdown viscosity and final viscosity significantly decreased, whereas grain length-width ratio, head rice rate, alkali digestion value, protein content and setback viscosity markedly increased. However, the other traits such as grain length, amylose content, milled rice rate, peak viscosity time and pasting temperature were not significantly affected by the cold-water stress. Significant correlations were discovered between phenotypic acceptability and cold response indices of taste meter value, protein content, peak viscosity and breakdown viscosity. Therefore, it would be very important to improve the cold tolerance of Yunnan rice varieties in order to stabilize and improve their eating quality. 展开更多

[Objectives] Rice-Tartary buckwheat is a special type of Tartary buckwheat with easy hulling thin shell.This study was conducted to characterize the carbohydrate metabolism,quality and yield and provide a basis for food processing and breeding of rice-Tartary buckwheat.[Methods]The local rice-Tartary buckwheat‘cv.Xiaomiqiao’(XMQ) was used to explore the characteristics of photosynthesis,starch synthesis enzyme activities,traits of yield and quality,as compared to Tartary buckwheat‘cv.Jinqiao 2’(JQ2).[Results]XMQ showed significantly lower values of net photosynthetic rate,ADPGase activity and starch synthase activity at one or more periods during grain filling than JQ2.The effective branch number and grain number per plant of XMQ were similar to that of JQ2 regardless of different years,but the 1 000-grain weight was significantly lighter that resulted in the significantly lower yield.XMQ accumulated similar contents of starch(amylose,amylopectin) and protein(glutelin,albumin,prolamin,globulin) to those of JQ2,but exhibited significantly lower flavonoid content.The values of peak viscosity and hot paste viscosity in XMQ were similar to those of JQ2,but the values of cool paste viscosity,breakdown and setback were significantly lower.In conclusion,XMQ showed low yield due to the insufficient of photosynthesis and starch synthesis.XMQ exhibited high nutritional quality as well as normal Tartary buckwheat and stored 18.88 mg/g of flavonoid,that might be consumed as daily diet.[Conclusions]The present results will provide a basis for utilization and improvement of rice-Tartary buckwheat. 展开更多

Creep tests under at a certain temperature and different stress levels were performed on two carbon constructional quality steels at a certain stress level and different temperatures,and their creep curves at high temperature were obtained based on analyzing the testing data.Taking 45 steel at a certain temperature and stress as the example,the integral creep constitutive equation and the differential stress-strain constitutive relationship were established based on the relevant rheological model,and the integral core function was also obtained.Simultaneously,the viscous coefficients denoting the viscous behavior in visco-plastic constitutive equation were determined by taking use of the creep testing data.Then the viscous coefficients of three carbon steels(20 steel,35 steel and 45 steel) were compared and analyzed.The results show that the viscosity is different due to different materials at the same temperature and stress. 展开更多

Effects of rolled leaf gene Rl(t) on grain quality characters of hybrid rice were analyzed by using three pairs of rolled leaf near-isogenic lines under two fertilizer treatments. Under normal fertilizer level (e.g. 450 kg urea per ha), head rice rates and milled rice recovery of rolled leaf hybrids were significantly higher than those of corresponding non-rolled crosses, while the chalky rice rate and chalkiness were all lower. Of the RVA profiles, the peak viscosity, the hot paste viscosity and the breakdown viscosity of the rolled were all higher than those of the corresponding non-rolled ones to various degrees. Increasing fertilizer application for promoting panicle development increased the brown, milled and head rice rates except for Shanyou 63, furthermore, significant difference of head rice rates existed between the rolled leaf Shanyou 559 and Shanyou 559; while the peak viscosity, the hot paste viscosity and the breakdown viscosity all decreased to different levels; changes of values of other characters had no apparent regularity. It suggested that Rl(t) could improve rice quality under certain conditions. 展开更多

Contribution of attachment insecurity to health-related quality of life in depressed patients 被引量:1

AIM: To examine the individual contributions of insecure attachment styles and depression symptom severity to health-related quality of life(HRQo L) in patients diagnosed with adjustment disorder(AJD) with depressed mood. METHODS: Participants were 67 patients diagnosed with International Classification of Diseases, Tenth edition AJD with depressed mood, who completed standardised self-report questionnaires measuring study variables. Mean scores and SDs were computed for the outcome and predictor measures. Pearson correlations among the measures were computed. The study hypotheses were tested using analysis of variance(ANOVA) and multiple regression analyses. All analyses were performed using the SPSS-17 software package(SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, United States).RESULTS: ANOVA showed a significant main effect of the insecure attachment styles on depression symptom severity and life satisfaction scores. The results suggestthat depressive symptoms were more severe(F = 4.13, df = 2.67, P < 0.05) and life satisfaction was poorer(F = 5.69, df = 2.67, P < 0.01) in both anxious-ambivalently and avoidantly attached patients compared with their securely attached counterparts, whereas the two insecure groups did not significantly differ by these variables. The anxious/ambivalent attachment style and depression symptom severity significantly contributed to HRQo L, accounting for 21.4% and 29.7% of the total variance, respectively [R2 = 0.79; Adjusted R2 = 0.77; F(5, 67) = 33.68, P < 0.0001], even after controlling for gender, marital and employment status confounders.CONCLUSION: The results show that the anxious/ambivalent attachment style together with depression symptom severity substantially and independently predict the HRQo L outcome in AJD with depressed mood. 展开更多

Tomatoes are one of the most important specialty crops in United States and tomato products constitute a significant part of the food industry. The quality of tomato paste and juice is evaluated through their viscosity, color, flavor and nutritional value. Four processing methods were selected for this study, in-cluding conventional hot break, waring blender with steam, steam injection, and high temperature with shear (HTS) in a twin-screw continuous processor. The HTS method applies high temperature with shear mixer during hot-break tomato processing that improves the efficiency of the extraction process and the resultant tomato products possessed higher consistency, viscosity, and ly-copene content. Lycopene is an excellent antioxidant with cancer-preventing properties. This work showed that HTS method, utilizing whole tomatoes, produced a superior tomato product with a better color, higher viscosity, and improved bioactive properties. 展开更多

Muffins were prepared with FSH at different levels and batter flow properties were studied. The muffin batter viscosity increased from 32,500 to 38,000 cps when the FSH content increased from 0 to 15%. While the muffin vol-umes increased upto 10% addition of FSH and further FSH increase did not result beneficially. Supplementation with FSH resulted in softer crumb texture indicated by the hardness which decreases in hardness 4.20 to 3.19 N. Inclusion of FSH addition in muffins found acceptance by panelists with a rating better than the control. The optimal level of incorporation of FSH flour, based on sensory quality in muffins was found to be 10% and use of Polysorbate-60 at 0.5% level in these muffins further improved the overall quality characteristics. These muffins had double the amount of dietary fiber. 展开更多

Three cultivars of Japonica rice:hybrid Japonica rice,inbred Japonica rice and soft Japonica rice,were used to study the effects of recommended nitrogen fertilizer on grain quality including milling,appearance,nutrition,cooking and eating quality,pasting property and their relationships in direct seeding rice.Recommended nitrogen fertilizer improved the brown rice rate,the milled rice rate,and the protein content;increased the chalky grain rate and the chalkiness,and reduced the amylose content,palatability and pasting viscosity.The nitrogen fertilizer caused the appearance,the cooking and the eating quality to deteriorate.Lower amylose content and protein content were found in soft Japonica rice compared to those in hybrid Japonica or inbred Japonica rice under the condition of the recommended rate of nitrogen fertilizer,contributing to high cooking and eating quality.Correlation analysis indicated that palatability was negatively correlated with amylose content,protein content,hardness and gelatinization temperature,and was positively correlated with stickiness,peak viscosity and breakdown.Therefore,the decreased amylose and protein content of the soft Japonica rice cultivar planted under the condition of the recommended rate of nitrogen fertilizer is beneficial to achieving high taste quality. 展开更多

The refractive index increment, dynamic and static laser light scattering, intrinsic viscosity [η] and Huggins constant (KH) of nylon 12 have been measured in m-cresol and sulphuric acid/water system at 10-60℃. The intrinsic viscosity, Rn, Rg, A2, and (〈 S 〉2)^1/2 (calculated from viscosity data) and "a" values of nylon 12 are found to be higher in m-cresol than in sulphuric acid. All these parameters decrease with the increase in water contents in sulphuric acid. The refractive index increment, KH and activation energy show an opposite trend to that of [η]. The intrinsic viscosity, RH, Rg, A2, and (〈 S 〉2)^1/2 have maximum values around 30-40℃ in sulphuric acid/water system, whereas in m-cresol they fall at about 20℃. It has been concluded that the variation in size, interaction parameter (second virial coefficient), [η] and KH of the polymer solutions with the alteration in solvent composition and temperature are the out come of change in thermodynamic quality of solvents, selective adsorption, hydrogen bonding and conformational transitions. It has also been concluded that the increase in temperature first enhances the quality of the solvent, encourages hydrogen bonding and specific adsorption, and then deteriorates, bringing conformational transitions in the polymer molecules. However, the addition of water to sulphuric acid continuously deteriorates the solvent quality. This characteristic of the solvent system brings conformational changes in the polymer especially at low temperatures. 展开更多

Lauryl betaine(LB)as an amphoteric surfactant carries both positive and negative charges and should be able to generate stable foam through electrostatic interaction with nanoparticles and co-surfactants.However,no previous attempts have been made to investigate the influence of nanoparticles and other co-surfactants on the stability and apparent viscosity of LBstabilized foam.In this study,a thorough investigation on the influence of silicon dioxide(SiO2)nanoparticles,alpha olefin sulfonate(AOS)and sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS),on foam stability and apparent viscosity was carried out.The experiments were conducted with the 2D Hele-Shaw cell at high foam qualities(80%-98%).Influence of AOS on the interaction between the LB foam and oil was also investigated.Results showed that the SiO2-LB foam apparent viscosity decreased with increasing surfactant concentration from 0.1 wt%to 0.3 wt%.0.1 wt%SiO2 was the optimum concentration and increased the 0.1 wt%LB foam stability by 108.65%at 96%foam quality.In the presence of co-surfactants,the most stable foam,with the highest apparent viscosity,was generated by AOS/LB solution at a ratio of 9:1.The emulsified crude oil did not imbibe into AOS-LB foam lamellae.Instead,oil was redirected into the plateau borders where the accumulated oil drops delayed the rate of film thinning,bubble coalescence and coarsening. 展开更多

Objectives:Globally,informal caregivers caring for cancer patients meet challenges within their caregiving role,which significantly influence their quality of life.This qualitative systematic review aimed to analyze how cancer caregiving influence the quality of life of informal caregivers and the management strategies of informal caregivers for their role as cancer caregivers.Methods:Following the enhancing transparency in reporting the synthesis of qualitative research(ENTREQ)statement,Wanfang database,the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),CINAHL,MEDLINE,PubMed,Cochrane Library,PsycARTICLES and PsycINFO,and grey literature in English and Chinese from 1 May 2009 to 31 December 2019 were searched.Quality of included studies was assessed by the Critical Appraisal Skills Programme(2018)Qualitative Checklist and thematic synthesis was conducted.Results:Of the 8,945 studies identified,6 studies met the inclusion criteria.One analytical theme relating to the QoL of informal caregivers following cancer caregiving was identified:"challenges of caregiving".In terms of the management strategies to the role of cancer caregivers,two analytical themes were identified:"self-adjustment"and"seeking for formal and informal support".Conclusions:Cancer caregiving influences informal caregivers'QoL significantly and informal caregivers develop diverse coping strategies to deal with the difficulties occurred while balancing the relationship between their own lives and caregiving.However,professional and policy support remain inadequate for informal caregivers that require the need for improvement in terms of health care professionals and policymakers. 展开更多

Quality Assessment of Training Data with Uncertain Labels for Classification of Subjective Domains

In order to improve the performance of classifiers in subjective domains, this paper defines a metric to measure the quality of the subjectively labelled training data (QoSTD) by means of K-means clustering. Then, the QoSTD is used as a weight of the predicted class scores to adjust the likelihoods of instances. Moreover, two measurements are defined to assess the performance of the classifiers trained by the subjective labelled data. The binary classifiers of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Zhengs are trained and retrained by the real-world data set, utilizing the support vector machine (SVM) and the discrimination analysis (DA) models, so as to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. The experimental results show that the consistency of likelihoods of instances with the corresponding observations is increased notable for the classes, especially in the cases with the relatively low QoSTD training data set. The experimental results also indicate the solution how to eliminate the miss-labelled instances from the training data set to re-train the classifiers in the subjective domains. 展开更多

【目的】基于田间分期播种试验,研究华北北部冬小麦、夏玉米播期调整,其生长发育、光合生理特性、籽粒灌浆和产量形成及品质对气候变暖的不同响应,为华北平原农业生产采取措施应对气候变化提供科学依据。【方法】采用分期播种方法,于201... 【目的】基于田间分期播种试验,研究华北北部冬小麦、夏玉米播期调整,其生长发育、光合生理特性、籽粒灌浆和产量形成及品质对气候变暖的不同响应,为华北平原农业生产采取措施应对气候变化提供科学依据。【方法】采用分期播种方法,于2017—2023年在华北北部的河北固城农业气象国家野外科学观测研究站开展冬小麦和夏玉米的大田分期(早播10 d、正常播期、晚播10 d、晚播20 d)播种试验,获取冬小麦和夏玉米的生育进程、地上干物质累积和分配、叶片光合特性、籽粒灌浆速率以及产量农艺性状和籽粒营养成分等资料。【结果】冬小麦全生育期随播期推迟而缩短,主要原因在于冬前幼苗期缩短;夏玉米全生育期与播期呈抛物线关系,播期每推迟10 d,幼苗期缩短1.3 d,花粒期和籽粒形成-灌浆期分别延长1.5和1.6 d。冬小麦、夏玉米籽粒灌浆过程对播期调整的响应完全不同,冬小麦籽粒灌浆特征在播期间反应并不敏感,夏玉米籽粒灌浆速率在播期间差异较小,但籽粒形成期、灌浆结束日期和峰值日期因播期推迟顺次延后,且灌浆持续日数因播期每推迟10 d,灌浆持续日数缩短4 d。北方麦区在秋暖和冬暖背景下,冬小麦播种期界限延宽,播期对产量的影响明显减弱,播期推迟配套增加播种量,产量不减且会小幅增产;夏玉米产量随播期推迟明显递减,理论产量播期每推迟10 d递减率1381.50 kg·hm^(-2),但冬小麦和夏玉米晚播20 d产量都凸显跳跃变小。播期每推迟10 d,冬小麦籽粒分配率递增1.67%,夏玉米则递减1.57%,冬小麦收获指数提高0.017,而夏玉米降低0.016。冬小麦和夏玉米叶片光合速率(Pn)对播期的响应亦不同,冬小麦播期间的Pn较为相近,而夏玉米播期每推迟10 d Pn递减率1.21μmol·m^(-2)·s-1。播期调整对华北北部冬小麦、夏玉米籽粒品质不会产生明显影响。【结论】气候变暖背景下我国北方冬小麦延迟播种,延宽适宜播种期是适应气候变暖的积极有效措施,华北平原夏玉米适期早播可避免高温热害影响,有助于稳产增产。 展开更多
