BACKGROUND Enhancing awareness and use of pre-exposure prophylaxis(PrEP)and postexposure prophylaxis(PEP)is vital to curb human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)spread.High-risk behaviors prevalent among sexually transmitte...BACKGROUND Enhancing awareness and use of pre-exposure prophylaxis(PrEP)and postexposure prophylaxis(PEP)is vital to curb human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)spread.High-risk behaviors prevalent among sexually transmitted infection clinic outpatients underscore the need for increased PrEP/PEP education in this group.AIM To investigate the effects of both onsite and online health education on the knowledge of,and willingness to use,PrEP and PEP among individuals receiving PEP services.METHODS Participants were drawn from a cohort study on PEP service intervention at an STD/AIDS outpatient clinic in designated HIV/AIDS hospitals in Beijing,conducted from January 1 to June 30,2022.Health education was provided both onsite and online during follow-up.Surveys assessing knowledge of,and willingness to use,PrEP/PEP were administered at baseline and again at 24 wk post-intervention.RESULTS A total of 112 participants were enrolled in the study;105 completed the follow-up at week 24.The percentage of participants with adequate knowledge of,and willingness to use,PrEP significantly increased from 65.2%and 69.6%at baseline to 83.8%and 82.9%at the end of the intervention(both P<0.05).Similarly,those with adequate knowledge of,and willingness to use,PEP increased from 74.1%and 77.7%at baseline to 92.4%and 89.5%at week 24(P<0.05).Being between 31 years and 40 years of age,having a postgraduate degree or higher,and reporting a monthly expenditure of RMB 5000 or more were found to be significantly associated with knowledge of PrEP and PEP(both P<0.05).CONCLUSION The findings show that both onsite and online health education significantly improved the knowledge of,and increased willingness to use,PrEP and PEP in individuals utilizing PEP services.展开更多

Medical education is an important cornerstone for the development of healthcare,and medical humanities education,as an integral part of medical education,plays an irreplaceable role in cultivating people’s health gua...Medical education is an important cornerstone for the development of healthcare,and medical humanities education,as an integral part of medical education,plays an irreplaceable role in cultivating people’s health guardians with high medical ethics.We adopted the method of stratified random sampling to select 309 students and 107 faculty members from three independent medical colleges in Sichuan province as the research subjects and distributed questionnaire surveys investigating in three dimensions:overall cognition of medical humanities,evaluation of medical humanistic qualities,and the current situation of medical humanities education,supplemented by an in-depth literature review and interviews with subject matter experts.We found that“tech-centrism”still has a great influence,the self-evaluation of medical students’humanistic quality is generally not high,the educational concept of“emphasizing professional skills over morality”of faculty and staff is still quite prevalent,and there is still the“last mile”phenomenon in medical humanities education.In order to promote the integrated development of“new medicine”and“new liberal arts”and break the barriers of“tech-centrism”and“instrumental rationality,”it is necessary to change the educational concept and strengthen the education of all employees,break through the bottleneck of internships and strengthen the whole process of education,integrate educational resources and strengthen all-round education,improve the incentive mechanisms,strengthen the assessment methods,and provide Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions for the development of medical humanities education.展开更多

It addresses why the “blessing” of abundant natural resources often turns into a “curse” in many countries and regions, focusing on the crowding-out effect of natural resources on human capital. According to our empirical analysis of provincial panel data from China, natural resource dependence is significantly and negatively correlated with human capital accumulation. The crowding-out effect of natural resources on human capital exists only in the central and western regions of China. Our introduction of an interaction term for natural resource dependence and public education investment underscores the possibility of investing in public education to reduce the crowding-out effect of natural resource dependence on human capital. The government should utilize the income of the natural resource sector to increase investment in education to enhance local human capital.展开更多

Demands for a non-religious common ground in society is having a strong impact on how conventional religious education is perceived. Further, the harsh criticism on the legitimacy of religious from humanistic and atheistic circles also points to the fact that religious education needs to be re-evaluated. The paper takes critical look at religion both as a historical and cultural phenomenon and as a construct of the human imagination. Based on this it aims at addressing the question: Can religious education be justified if the aim of education is to educate to reality? The question will be answered by stating an argument that views religious education as an exercise in a healthy use of the human imagination as an intellectual reference, emotional nest, and the mind's eye. 文摘This paper constructs a stochastic endogenous growth model through introducing h into utility function,which is the symbol oflevel of education.We study the productive and welfare utility problem of human capital and education. By using stochastic analysis methodsand Poisson process, we analyze the relationship between the model parameters,welfare and increase rate under equilibrium level. More-over we discuss the individuals'welfare,some helpful results are obtained.

文摘This paper examines the relationships between natural resource dependence, public education investment, and human capital accumulation. It addresses why the “blessing” of abundant natural resources often turns into a “curse” in many countries and regions, focusing on the crowding-out effect of natural resources on human capital. According to our empirical analysis of provincial panel data from China, natural resource dependence is significantly and negatively correlated with human capital accumulation. The crowding-out effect of natural resources on human capital exists only in the central and western regions of China. Our introduction of an interaction term for natural resource dependence and public education investment underscores the possibility of investing in public education to reduce the crowding-out effect of natural resource dependence on human capital. The government should utilize the income of the natural resource sector to increase investment in education to enhance local human capital.
文摘When you think of the other,they are not due to the same power and hegemonies,and that this other is identified as a face,there is the possibility of guiding behavior or ethics,along the paths of diversity.It is like the discovery of diversity and otherness in education,which are the most appropriate ways to understand that the autonomous self,is in debt,under the figure of hostage.Humanity has begun a path which has no possible reserve and this consists in opening,via postmodernity,a type of thought that is capable of generating scenarios of recognition of what is different,as a discovery that benefits everyone greatly.To propose that otherness is the basis on which diversity is built,is now an open route in education and to travel that makes life more meaningful because of the ethical recognition of the other that will accompany me on a path of history.

文摘Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)education plays a crucial role in cultivating TCM talents and preserving the profound cultural heritage of the Chinese nation.This paper explores the current situation and problems of TCM education and proposes philosophical reflections on this issue.The analysis shows that the current TCM education faces various challenges,including an unbalanced curriculum,a narrow teaching approach,a lack of practical experience,and an insufficient number of qualified teachers.To enhance the teaching effectiveness and foster a new generation of high-quality Chinese medicine professionals,it is necessary to reform the teaching methods of TCM and integrate the depth of humanities into the teaching process.The paper argues that a philosophical perspective can provide a more comprehensive understanding of TCM education and its role in the development of Chinese medicine.

文摘In a statement issued on the 2004 World Human Rights Day, Ms. Louse Arbour, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, described human rights education as a strategy for attainment of "human rights for all," as a basic means for developing a universal culture of human rights, as an instrument for promoting equality and involvement of the people in decision-making under democratic mechanisms, and as an investment to prevent infringements upon human fights and to ward off conflicts of violence. It should be noted that so much importance attached by UN human rights organ to human rights education epitomizes the empowering characters of human rights education and the functions it performs in the global human rights system.

文摘The economic crisis in 1997-1998 increased poverty to 49.5 million,but in 2005 decreased to 35.10 million,then in 2006 increased 39.05 million.The worst communities were workers,dependent families,small farmers and fishermen,informal sector workers,low-level civil servants,and people affected by natural disasters.The research design was cross sectional;the research was in Pangkal Pinang City in January 2016.The data were summarized by interview,observation,documentation,and Focus Group Discussion.Data analyses were flow model,product moment,and Likert scale.The result of the research shows the correlation between how to obtain the poor scholarship and the criteria of obtaining the poor scholarship that is very tight which is 0.453.The relation between the criteria of obtaining the poor scholarship and the determination of the poor scholarship is quite close which is 0.218.The relationship between the determination of the scholarship for poor students and obtaining the poor scholarship is 0.395.The correlation between how to get the poor scholarship and the poor scholarship receiver is quite close that is 0.190.The relationship between the determination of the poor scholarship and the impact of the poor scholarship is quite close that is 0.171.The relationship between using of the poor scholarship and the poor scholarship receiver is very close that is 0.297.The relation between the poor receiver and the impact of poor the scholarship is 0.270.

文摘Using the differences and complementarities between human intelligence and artificial intelligence(AI),a hybrid-augmented intelligence,that is both stronger than human intelligence and AI,is created through Human-AI Cooperation(HAC)for teaching and learning.Human-AI Cooperation is infiltrating into all links of education,and recent research has focused a lot on the impact of teaching,learning,management,and evaluation with Human-AI Cooperation.However,AI still has its limits of intelligence,and cannot cooperate as humans.Thus,it is critical to study the obstacles of Human-AI Cooperation in education,as AI plays a role as a partner,not a tool.This study discussed for the first time how teachers and AI cooperate based on Multiple Intelligences of AI proposed by Andrzej Cichocki and puts forward a new Human-AI Cooperation teaching mode:human in the loop and teaching as leadership.It is proposed that humans in the loop and teaching as leadership can solve the problem that AI cannot cope with complex and dynamic teaching tasks in open situations,as well as the limits of intelligence for AI.
文摘There are many indications that prove that religious education, and the religious discourse to a large extent, have reached a critical crossroad. Demands for a non-religious common ground in society is having a strong impact on how conventional religious education is perceived. Further, the harsh criticism on the legitimacy of religious from humanistic and atheistic circles also points to the fact that religious education needs to be re-evaluated. The paper takes critical look at religion both as a historical and cultural phenomenon and as a construct of the human imagination. Based on this it aims at addressing the question: Can religious education be justified if the aim of education is to educate to reality? The question will be answered by stating an argument that views religious education as an exercise in a healthy use of the human imagination as an intellectual reference, emotional nest, and the mind's eye. This argument will be analysed and debated and conclusion will be drawn.
