The model shows that central banks can adjust exchange rate by several policy instruments and that different instruments may have different effects on exchange rate determination. It specifies potential policy instruments for central banks as well as their policy effects. Inspired by the function of crucial components in photosystemⅡ(PSⅡ),electrochemical and dyesensitized photoelectrochemical(DSPEC)water oxidation devices were constructed by the selfassembly of well-designed amphipathic Ru(bda)-based catalysts(bda=2,2'-bipyrdine-6,6'-dicarbonoxyl acid)and aliphatic chain decorated electrode surfaces,forming lipid bilayer membrane(LBM)-like structures.The Ru(bda)catalysts on electrode-supported LBM films demonstrated remarkable water oxidation performance with different O-O formation mechanisms.However,compared to the slow charge transfer process,the O-O formation pathways did not determine the PEC water oxidation efficiency of the dyesensitized photoanodes,and the different reaction rates for similar catalysts with different catalytic paths did not determine the PEC performance of the DSPECs.Instead,charge transfer plays a decisive role in the PEC water oxidation rate.When an indolo[3,2-b]carbazole derivative was introduced between the Ru(bda)catalysts and aliphatic chain-modified photosensitizer in LBM films,serving as a charge transfer mediator for the tyrosine-histidine pair in PSⅡ,the PEC water oxidation performance of the corresponding photoanodes was dramatically enhanced. 展开更多

Kinetics Study on O2 Adsorption and OHad Desorption at Pt(111), Its Implication to Oxygen Reduction Reaction Kinetics

Kinetics of dissociative O2 adsorption, OHad desorption, and oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) at Pt(111) electrode in 0.1 mol/L HClO4 has been investigated. Reversible OHad adsorption/desorption occurs at potentials from 0.6 V to 1.0 V (vs. RHE) with the exchange current density of ca. 50 mA/cm^2 at 0.8 V, the fast kinetics of OHad desorption indicates that it should not be the rate determining step for ORR. In the kineticor kinetic-mass transport mix controlled potential region, ORR current at constant potential displays slight decrease with reaction time. ORR current in the positive-going potential scan is slightly larger than that in the subsequent negative-going scan with electrode rotation speed (〉800 r/min) and slow potential scan rate (〈100 mV/s). The open circuit potential of Pt/0.1 mol/L HClO4 interface increases promptly from 0.9 V to 1.0 V after switch from O2 free- to O2-saturated solution. The increase of open circuit potential as well as ORR current decays under potential control due to the accumulation of OHad from dissociative adsorption of O2. It indicates that at Pt(111) the net rate for O2 decomposition to OHad is slightly faster than that for OHad removal, one cannot simply use the assumption of rate determining step to discuss ORR kinetics. Instead, the ORR kinetics is determined by both the kinetics for O2 decomposition to OHad as well as the thermo-equilibrium of OHad+H^++e→←H2O. 展开更多

Quantum calculation method has been used to understand and investigate the free radical reactions of propane with hydroxyl radical in vacuum through modem quantum mechanics that is package on hyperchem 8.02 program. Optimized structures and structural reactivates have been studied through bond stability and angles using DFT calculation based on the basis set 6-31G*. Energetic properties have been calculated like total energy, Gibbs free energy, entropy, heat of formation, and rate constant for all chemical species that's participate in the suggested reaction mechanism. Reaction mechanism and rate determining step had been suggested according to calculation of energy barrier values, and compares between the suggested competitive reactions for each probable reaction step. With balance of payments in China and the RMB exchange rate approaching the equilibrium level,political gaming of domestic interest groups rather than international political pressures plays a more important role in future bidirectional changes of the RMB exchange rate.From the perspective of political economics,this paper analyses the dynamics of exchange rate preferences of domestic interest groups and their role in the evolution of RMB exchange rate regimes.The findings show that interest groups and their exchange rate preferences do play a significant role in RMB exchange rate reforms,which implicates that it is necessary to take account of policy preferences and political gaming of interest groups in the determination and forecasts of the RMB exchange rate. 展开更多
