The Current Situation and Optimization Strategy of Paper Books Utilization in University Library

Paper books and documents are the main media of information service in most university libraries.In order to study the main reasons for the decline of the utilization rate of paper books in university libraries,this paper takes a well-known university library in China as an example,discusses the current situation of its low utilization rate of paper books and the reasons for the problems,and puts forward relevant optimization strategies,so as to promote the improvement of the construction quality of university libraries in China.

Revision of the new formula for book losing rate

While the amount of book borrowing is overlooked in the calculation of book losing rate in a closed system, there are also other important overlooked elements, factors such as reader groups and the reading timetable in open book stacks. On the basis of concrete evidence, this paper revised a new formula for book losing rate with the purpose of making the estimation in management more objective and more accurate.

高校图书馆图书平均年增长率计算及架位预留分配研究

图书平均年增长率是图书馆比较常用的图书增长预测方法,但目前方法计算的图书平均年增长率在图书增长预测上可能存在偏差,由此本研究在分析了目前应用平均年增长率计算未来图书增长数量的等比算法和等差算法的基础上,比较了现有的两种架位分配方法:总量比例分配法和增量比例分配法,应用开方法提出了时段增量分配法。算例表明新方法在架位缺口、架位剩余等指标方面均优于现有的两种方法。

神经科学视角下在线图书选购研究

将图书在线信息分为“高评分高销量”“高评分低销量”“低评分高销量”“低评分低销量”四种情况,通过脑电技术记录读者对每种图书进行购买决策的认知过程和结果,从N200、N400以及晚正电位(Late Positive Potentinl,LPP)这三项脑电指标的变化中分析读者在“感知风险监测”“信息冲突分析”“选项价值评估”这三个决策阶段的神经活动,发现评分和销量信息显著影响读者的购买意愿,且信息不一致情形下,评分信息是影响购书决策的主导因素:在信息冲突分析阶段,高评分低销量引发的认知偏差更小;在选项价值评估阶段,高评分低销量引起的购买动机唤醒更加强烈;而在感知风险监测阶段,高评分低销量和低评分高销量引发的感知风险没有显著差异。

全文检索技术在图书检索中的应用

现有的图书检索方法多是对馆藏图书进行编目、分类、标注等处理后形成书目数据库,用户根据书名、作者和出版社等信息来检索图书。这种方式不能满足用户根据任意关键词来检索图书的需求,效率较低。全文检索是基于倒排索引技术对文本中的所有词组和关键词进行索引,支持快速检索到文本中任何一个单词和关键词。若将全文检索技术应用于图书检索中,可使用户根据任意关键词检索图书,可根据检索量和用户习惯推荐热门图书。文章介绍了如何在图书检索过程中应用全文检索技术,分析了全文检索引擎选择、图书文本解析、图书文本分词、图书索引设计、图书文档提交等主要过程,并给出了全文检索技术的最终实现效果,以期对提升图书检索系统的易用性提供一定借鉴。

A Part-Refund Model for Airline Overbooking Problem

In this paper, a mathematical model about the optimal booking level problem in airline overbooking rnanageanent is proposed. Firstly, the normal distribution is employed to approximate Poisson requests and binomial goshows. By calculating the mean loss, a model to describe the relationship between booking level and flight revenue is established. Then, an equation is deduced to decide the optimal booking level. Finally, a numerical example is utilized to illustrate the proposed model and discuss the impact of refund rate on the optimal booking level and the mean loss.

Development of a Comparison Based Hotel and Resort Booking System in Bangladesh

With the rise of population and the industrial revolution, it is obvious that hotels and resorts are increasing drastically day by day. In the 21st century, tourism is a trend. Everyone loves to travel and the reasons vary from person to person. Whether it is to have a cheerful and peaceful mind and place or business purposes, either way, hotels and resorts actually doing their jobs very well. This, tourism is a promising sector for any country and Bangladesh is no different. But the problem is we have to do the hotel booking and reservation manually most of the time. Sometimes it is too troublesome and knowing about the suitable hotels and resorts is too difficult. Though there are some online platforms available, they are not our country-oriented such as the payment system is not preferable for us. To solve this problem Vhromon is developed, a comparison-based hotel and resort booking system where anyone can book a hotel or resort by just login from the internet. Vhromon is an interactive online platform and it is user-friendly and easy to get like most of the platforms available nowadays. But they do not have all the hotels and resorts enlisted, only the well-known ones. On the other hand, Vhromon has everything enlisted where customers can compare them and can choose the right one for them. Furthermore, this system has a vendor panel where any hotel or resort owner can add their hotel or resort easily without any hassle, unlike the existing one.

从出版统计和馆藏分析看图书采购策略——以2002～2005年国内出版的计算机类图书为例

图书采购策略的科学、合理是高校图书馆文献资源建设质量的有力保障。图书出版是图书馆文献资源建设的上游环节,实际状况的好坏影响着图书采购工作的质量;而馆藏资源利用情况,反映和验证了图书采购是否合理、科学,是否符合本馆需要。本文利用文献计量学方法从核心出版社、藏书利用率等方面进行统计分析,制定高校图书馆中文计算机类图书的采购策略。

零借阅中文图书出版社分析与馆藏优化策略研究

通过对上海海事大学图书馆2010—2012年入藏的可供借阅中文图书的出版社分析发现,低零借阅率中文图书出版社的特征为:符合大量读者阅读需求,出版图书品质高,出版品种较集中;高零借阅率中文图书出版社的特征为:专业读者数量有限,出版品种多且分散,出版图书同质化严重。根据统计分析结果,图书馆可从以下方面入手优化馆藏:在采访上,圈定不适宜出版社、优质出版社和核心出版社;在典藏流通上,进行复本剔除或密集排架、开展阅读推广服务。

基于用户阅读行为的图书自动评测算法

针对图书质量较难量化的问题,以用户在阅读过程中的流失和留存数据为基础,对各个关键行为节点设置评测权重,通过用户阅读图书的深度来量化图书质量.在分析在线阅读平台特点的基础上,根据用户阅读图书深度到达的难度来量化用户的阅读行为,提出基于用户阅读行为的图书自动评测算法.图书的最终综合评测值考虑图书半衰期和用户分群对图书评分的影响,能够根据图书的多个评测指标对图书进行自动评测,帮助用户选择更符合自身喜好的图书,提高用户满意度和用户体验.

医学院校图书馆中文图书利用率分析

以大连医科大学图书馆2008-2009年中文图书流通数据为例,从总体情况、类别分析、零借阅率3方面,分析中文图书利用情况,为提高医学院校图书利用率和馆藏建设合理化提供科学依据,指出应提高采购人员素质、制定科学的采购计划、做好导读工作。

职业俱乐部上座率与盈利水平关系探析——以我国职业篮球俱乐部调研为分析对象

本文对我国职业篮球俱乐部的上座率作出统计,对各俱乐部的盈利水平和经营状况进行分析,分析发现:在目前体制下,对打造联赛品牌、球市的发展、国人对其关注程度等,上座率的高低直接存在较大的影响;职业篮球俱乐部的收益逐年好转,并与俱乐部的上座率存在正相关的关系。

馆藏外文图书利用与效益分析研究——以东华大学图书馆馆藏外文图书为例

文章以东华大学图书馆为例,通过调研其馆藏外文资源建设情况,对馆藏外文纸质书、电子书结构、使用情况进行统计分析,从结构性、绩效性进行比较,为实现精准采购提供科学依据,为提高外文资源利用率提出可行的建议和对策。

利用流通数据指导制定文献资源建设策略的实证研究——以中国民航大学图书馆为例

从图书馆自动化系统获取流通数据作为研究样本,利用SPSS软件的相关分析和回归分析功能,分析外借图书册数、图书利用率、馆藏册数、新书复本率的相关关系,给出预测模型,根据预测数值,从读者需求的角度指导文献资源建设策略的制定。

针对文献利用率计算公式的不合理性,提出了适用率的概念,即当年读者利用图书种数与前五年入藏图书种数的比率。适用率的运用,能够强化文献采访工作的针对性,从而可实现馆藏资源的最优化。

图书剔旧工作中使用效率的运用和思考--以对外经济贸易大学图书馆为例

合理的图书剔旧有利于提高图书馆的管理和服务水平。论文通过文献调研、实证研究等方法,重新定义剔旧指标中关键因素“图书使用效率”的内涵,以对外经济贸易大学图书馆为例,分别从高使用率和低使用率两个维度阐述使用效率在剔旧工作中的应用模式,提出使用效率这一指标的定性和定量、自动化应用与人工处理相结合的思路,为其他高校图书馆开展实质性的图书剔旧工作提供借鉴。
