Ultrafine reinforcement particles were formed in situ by chemical reaction between elements or between elements and compounds. Using the approach, contamination at the composite matrix/reinforcement particle interface did not occur, interface bonding was good, and the reinforcement particle was thermodynamically stable. The stage of development of the preparation process for in situ TMCs as well as the thermodynamic analysis of the possible in situ reaction systems was described.展开更多

It is pointed out that the main reason for bad weldability of the material is concerned with the interface reaction during the welding. Effects of welding parameters on interface reaction were also investigated. The results show that the interface bonding state can be improved by laser beam, and the main welding parameter affecting the strength of weld is laser output power. The smaller the output power, the lower the extent of interface reaction and the better the mechanical properties.展开更多

The results indicated that the interfacial reaction between the whisker and matrix alloy have an effect on the erosion characteristics of the composites. The erosion resistance of the composites with a strongly bonded whisker matrix interface and the higher whisker strength resulted from suitable reaction treatment can be improved at high impact angles and is the same as the as cast composites at low angle. For the composites after excessive reaction treatment, the weak and brittle interface fractures easily at small strains, and the whiskers with relative low strength and low hardness at the specimen surface can not effectively resist the microcutting or microploughing action, thus the composites exhibit reduced erosion resistance.展开更多

The results showed that the reactions in the Ti-Al-B2O3 system can occur spontaneously and consist of three steps: 1) 15 Al + 7B2O3 → 7α-Al2O3 + AlB12 + 2B; 2) 14 B + 2Al → AlB12 + AlB2 and 3) 7Ti + AlB(12) + AlB2 → 7TiB2 + 2Al. Th...The formation of aluminum matrix composites fabricated by exothermic dispersion reaction in Al-TiO2-B2O3 system was investigated. The thermal analysis results show that the reactions are spontaneous and exothermic. The Gibbs free energy of α-Al2O3 is the lowest among all the combustion products, followed by TiB2 and Al3Ti. It is noted that when the B2O3/TiO2 mole ratio is below 1, the reaction products are composed of particle-like α-Al2O3, TiB2 and rod-like Al3Ti. The α-Al2O3 crystallites, resulting from the reaction between Al and TiO2 or B2O3, are segregated at the grain boundaries due to a lower wettability with the matrix. SEM micrographs show that rod-like Al3Ti phase distributes uniformly in the matrix. When the B2O3/TiO2 mole ratio is around 1, the Al3Ti phase almost disappears in the composites, and the distribution of α-Al2O3 particulates is improved evidently.展开更多

The results show that nearly all the titanium atoms reacted with the carbon coating of SiC fibers to form two layers of TiC. Also, a thin copper layer that is sandwiched between these two layers was detected. No Ti-Cu interfacial reaction product was observed. AIM:To assess expression of matrix metalloproteinases 2(MMP2)and MMP9 in gastric cancer,superficial gastritis and normal mucosa,and to measure metalloproteinase activity.METHODS:MMP2 and MMP9 mRNA expression was deter...AIM:To assess expression of matrix metalloproteinases 2(MMP2)and MMP9 in gastric cancer,superficial gastritis and normal mucosa,and to measure metalloproteinase activity.METHODS:MMP2 and MMP9 mRNA expression was determined by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction.Normalization was carried out using three different factors.Proteins were analyzed by quantitative gelatin zymography(qGZ).RESULTS:18S ribosomal RNA(18SRNA)was very highly expressed,while hypoxanthine ribosyltransferase-1(HPRT-1)was moderately expressed.MMP2 was highly expressed,while MMP9 was not detected or lowly expressed in normal tissues,moderately or highly expressed in gastritis and highly expressed in cancer.Relative expression of 18SRNA and HPRT-1 showed no significant differences.Significant differences in MMP2 and MMP9 were found between cancer and normal tissue,but not between gastritis and normal tissue.Absolute quantification of MMP9 echoed this pattern,but differential expression of MMP2 proved conflictive.Analysis by qGZ indicated significant differences between cancer and normal tissue in MMP-2,total MMP-9,250 and 110 kDa bands.CONCLUSION:MMP9 expression is enhanced in gastric cancer compared to normal mucosa;interpretation of differential expression of MMP2 is difficult to establish.展开更多

The present study aimed...BACKGROUND: Interstitial collagenase has been considered as an essential enzyme for collagenolysis in liver fi-brosis, because type Ⅰ and Ⅲ collagens increase predominantly in liver fibrosis. The present study aimed to demonstrate the gene expression of matrix metalloproteinases-13 (MMP-13) in the progressive phases of ethanol induced experimental liver fibrosis in rats. METHODS: Thirty-four Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into two groups. The experimental group (24 rats) was given ethanol (44% , 7 g/kg) every day and the control group (10) was given normal saline. Liver samples were harvested from experimental rats at 4, 12 and 24 weeks respectively. The kinetics of MMP-13 mRNA expression was assayed by semi-quantity reverse transcriptase-poly-merase chain reaction (RT-PCR). RESULTS: In normal rat liver, a faint band for MMP-13 mRNA was observed by RT-PCR (0.24±0.41). The gene expression of MMP-13 was increased in the liver of the rats treated with ethanol for 4 weeks (0. 62 ±0. 54), but it was not considered statistically significant (P >0.05). And the livers from 12-week-treated rats showed a marked mRNA expression(1.65 ±0.47, P <0. 01). Once fibrosis became prominent (24 weeks), a faint band of MMP-13 mRNA was observed (0.39±0.25). CONCLUSION: MMP-13 participates in the degradation of newly-formed matrix in the early phase of rat liver fibrosis induced by ethanol, and it was induced in a distinct time frame.展开更多

Methods Peritoneal macrophages were isolated from BALB/C mice and incubated with low (5μg/L ), middle (15μg/L) and high (305μg/L) concentrations of amlodipine, or in the medium alone (controls) for 24 hours, and the expression and secretion of MMP-2 and MM-9 of the cells were analyzed by RT-PCR and gelatin zymography. Results Compared with controls, amlodipine at low concentration had no significant effects on the expression and secretion of either MMP-2 and MMP-9 (P>0.05) at middle concentrationit it could inhibited MMP-2 and MMP-9 expressions completely and significantly reduced the secretion of MMP-9 (P<0.05); but it had no effect on the secretion of MMP-2. At high concentration it also inhibited MMP-2 and MMP-9 expression completely. Conclusion Amlodipine at 15 ig/L inhibited the expression of MMP-2 and MMP-9 and reduced the secretion of MMP-9, suggesting that amlodipine may stabilize atherosclerotic plaque.展开更多

The interfacial reaction pro...Al2O3-SiO2(sf)/AZ91D composite was fabricated by squeezing infiltration using preform made of crystallized aluminum silicate short fibers as reinforcement and aluminum phosphate as binder. The interfacial reaction products were investigated by optical microscopy, X-ray diffractometry, scanning electron microscopy, and the thermodynamics was discussed. It is shown that alumina silicate fibers are ideal candidates for the reinforcement of the Mg alloy matrix composites, and the perfect strong interfaces were formed by the chemical reaction between Mg in the magnesium alloy matrix and aluminum phosphate binder through generation of MgO particles. In addition, brittle Mg2Si phase was precipitated at the interface through the reaction between amorphous SiO2 and Mg in the magnesium alloy matrix, which affects the mechanical property of the composite.展开更多

The reaction pathways, apparent activation energies and tensile properties were analyzed by using ...The aluminum matrix composites(AlB2+a-Al2O3)/Al were fabricated by in situ reaction synthesis from an Al-B2 O3 system. The reaction pathways, apparent activation energies and tensile properties were analyzed by using differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), and equipped energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS). The results showed that there are two-step reactions in the Al-B2 O3 system. The first-step is 15 Al+7 B2 O3→7 aAl2O3+AlB12+2 B and the second-step is 2 B+AlB12+6 Al→7 AlB2. Their corresponding apparent activation energies are 352 and 444 kJ/mol, respectively. The tensile strength and elongation rate of the composites are 190.5 MPa and 6.6%, respectively.Compared with ordinary aluminum base material, the performance is superior. There are many dimple and cracked a-Al2O3 reinforcements in tensile fracture surface layer.展开更多

文摘Objective To investigate whether the calcium channel blocker amlodipine could inhibit macrophage matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) expression and secretion. Methods Peritoneal macrophages were isolated from BALB/C mice and incubated with low (5μg/L ), middle (15μg/L) and high (305μg/L) concentrations of amlodipine, or in the medium alone (controls) for 24 hours, and the expression and secretion of MMP-2 and MM-9 of the cells were analyzed by RT-PCR and gelatin zymography. Results Compared with controls, amlodipine at low concentration had no significant effects on the expression and secretion of either MMP-2 and MMP-9 (P>0.05) at middle concentrationit it could inhibited MMP-2 and MMP-9 expressions completely and significantly reduced the secretion of MMP-9 (P<0.05); but it had no effect on the secretion of MMP-2. At high concentration it also inhibited MMP-2 and MMP-9 expression completely. Conclusion Amlodipine at 15 ig/L inhibited the expression of MMP-2 and MMP-9 and reduced the secretion of MMP-9, suggesting that amlodipine may stabilize atherosclerotic plaque.

文摘Al2O3-SiO2(sf)/AZ91D composite was fabricated by squeezing infiltration using preform made of crystallized aluminum silicate short fibers as reinforcement and aluminum phosphate as binder. The interfacial reaction products were investigated by optical microscopy, X-ray diffractometry, scanning electron microscopy, and the thermodynamics was discussed. It is shown that alumina silicate fibers are ideal candidates for the reinforcement of the Mg alloy matrix composites, and the perfect strong interfaces were formed by the chemical reaction between Mg in the magnesium alloy matrix and aluminum phosphate binder through generation of MgO particles. In addition, brittle Mg2Si phase was precipitated at the interface through the reaction between amorphous SiO2 and Mg in the magnesium alloy matrix, which affects the mechanical property of the composite.

文摘The aluminum matrix composites(AlB2+a-Al2O3)/Al were fabricated by in situ reaction synthesis from an Al-B2 O3 system. The reaction pathways, apparent activation energies and tensile properties were analyzed by using differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), and equipped energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS). The results showed that there are two-step reactions in the Al-B2 O3 system. The first-step is 15 Al+7 B2 O3→7 aAl2O3+AlB12+2 B and the second-step is 2 B+AlB12+6 Al→7 AlB2. Their corresponding apparent activation energies are 352 and 444 kJ/mol, respectively. The tensile strength and elongation rate of the composites are 190.5 MPa and 6.6%, respectively.Compared with ordinary aluminum base material, the performance is superior. There are many dimple and cracked a-Al2O3 reinforcements in tensile fracture surface layer.
