为探讨U2DOTRead Meter金标定量检测仪对β-HCG检测的准确度。用U2DOT Read Meter金标定量检测仪与SYM-B10时间分辨荧光分析仪测定103例妇科患者血清β-HCG浓度并对结果进行分析对比,观察其准确度。结果表明两种仪器的β-HCG阳性检出均... 为探讨U2DOTRead Meter金标定量检测仪对β-HCG检测的准确度。用U2DOT Read Meter金标定量检测仪与SYM-B10时间分辨荧光分析仪测定103例妇科患者血清β-HCG浓度并对结果进行分析对比,观察其准确度。结果表明两种仪器的β-HCG阳性检出均为70例:异位妊娠11例、葡萄胎3例、早孕35例、子宫出血原因待查21例。U2DOT ReadMeter的β-HCG阳性检测分布值分别为异位妊娠:7860mlU/mL,葡萄胎:13850mIU/mL,早孕:10600 mlU/mL,子宫出血待查:1280mlU/mL。SYM-B10的β-HCG阳性检测分布值分别为异位妊娠:7660mlU/mL,葡萄胎:13580mIU/mL,早孕:11200mlU/mL,子宫出血待查:1100mlU/mL。U2DOTRead Meter量程范围宽、快速、能满足临床快速诊断及治疗的需要,与SYM-B10检测β-HCG具有一致的吻合性与准确度。 展开更多

Since 2014,nationwide reading has been included in the government work report for 10 consecutive times,and twice into the country’s five-year development plan.The importance of reading for individuals,society,and the country has become increasingly prominent.National reading has flourished,and throughout the 2018 to 2022 National Reading Survey Report,there have been welcome changes in national reading in China.This study compares and analyzes the relevant reading indicators of adult nationals from 2018 to 2022,and summarizes the five changes and new trends in national reading.That is,national reading awareness has increased,paper-book reading habits have returned,digital reading has become more diversified,the listening group has grown,and the voice of national reading activities has continued to rise.Accordingly,it provides relevant development strategies for publishers. 展开更多

The Effect of Latinization on Reading Time and Understanding: Greeklish in Communication and Social Media

The increasing prevalence of technology in society has an impact on young people’s language use and development. Greeklish is the writing of Greek texts using the Latin instead of the Greek alphabet, a practice known as Latinization, also employed for many non-latin alphabet languages. The primary aim of this research is to evaluate the effect of Greeklish on reading time. A sample of 732 young Greeks were asked about their habits when communicating through e-mail and social media with their friends and they then participated in an experiment in which they were asked to read and understand two short texts, one written in Greek and the other in Greeklish. The findings of the research show that nearly one third of the participants use Greeklish. The results of the experiment conducted reveal that understanding is not affected by the alphabet used but reading Greeklish is significantly more time consuming than reading Greek independently of the sex and the familiarity of the participants with Greeklish. The findings suggest that amending social and communication media with software utilities related to Latinization such as language identifiers and converters may reduce reading time and thus facilitate written communication among the users. 展开更多

One of the major problems in the education sector is the reading skills of learners.Students enrolled in the Alternative Learning System(ALS)also experienced this scenario due to several circumstances.This study focused on the improvement of reading comprehension skills of ALS learners by means of project RICE(Reading Intervention and Comprehension Enhancement)as well as the issues and challenges.A quasi-experimental design was utilized in this study which was participated by 54 learners,composed of 27 learners under the experimental group and 27 under the control group.The result revealed that the learners in the experimental group changed from frustration level to instructional level after the implementation of project RICE while the learners in the control group changed from instructional level to inde-pendent level,thereby signifying a significant difference and the effectiveness of the project.Additionally,issues with time and resources were often encountered by the learners. 展开更多

Under this influence, primary school students’ independent reading has also been changed. However, due to limited self-control and understanding, primary school students face certain difficulties when using online teaching platforms for independent reading. Advantages and disadvantages of distance learning based on the network teaching platform were summarized in this paper. A one-year experiment study was carried out on our school fifth-grade students in independent reading using WeChat campus platform considering their current situation and existing problems of independent reading. In experiment study an independent reading mode was introduced. The results show that this reading mode can significantly improve students’ independent reading ability. 展开更多

The book Becoming a Reading Teacher:Connecting Research and Practice aims to encourage readers to regard reading as a lifelong habit.To bridge the gap between teachers and researchers,this book is structured around four parts:reading as a linguistic process,reading as a personal experience,reading as a collective experience,and reading as a classroom practice.The definition of a reading teacher can be interpreted in two ways:the teacher who builds readings into the lesson and the teacher who provides the opportunity for learners to be readers,but who is a reader themselves.Such teachers regard reading as a lifelong learning habit and pass on the enthusiasm to learners,eventually creating a reading culture beyond the classroom.However,the necessity for reading teachers to participate in the research may be explained as follows.Firstly,new research may change one’s mind.What’s more,research allows teachers to turn their difficulties,surprises,and challenges into questions,and to seek answers to those questions.In addition,research helps teachers overcome the challenges in teaching by discovering new strategies.Research can also help to prove teachers’choices and decisions in teaching.Secondly,research allows teachers to see the role they play in the bigger picture.Research connects teachers with others and gives them a broader and shared perspective on their questions and experiences.Last but not least,research informs and promotes changes in policy,thinking,and so on. 展开更多
