Dynamic Write-Voltage Design and Read-Voltage Optimization for MLC NAND Flash Memory

To mitigate the impact of noise and inter-ference on multi-level-cell(MLC)flash memory with the use of low-density parity-check(LDPC)codes,we propose a dynamic write-voltage design scheme con-sidering the asymmetric property of raw bit error rate(RBER),which can obtain the optimal write voltage by minimizing a cost function.In order to further improve the decoding performance of flash memory,we put forward a low-complexity entropy-based read-voltage optimization scheme,which derives the read voltages by searching for the optimal entropy value via a log-likelihood ratio(LLR)-aware cost function.Simulation results demonstrate the superiority of our proposed dynamic write-voltage design scheme and read-voltage optimization scheme with respect to the existing counterparts.

Radio Frequency IDentification(RFID)and related technologies such as Near Field Communication(NFC)are becoming essential in industrial contexts thanks to their ability to perform contactless data exchange,either device-to-device or tag-to-device.One of the three main operation modes of NFC,called read/write mode,makes use of the latter type of interaction.It is extensively used in business information systems that make use of NFC tags to provide the end-user with augmented information in one of several available NFC data exchange formats,such as plain text,simple URLs or enriched URLs.Using a wide variety of physical form factors,NFC-compatible tags(wireless transponders)are currently available in many locations with applications going from smart posters,contactless tokens,tap-and-go payments or transport ticketing to automated device configuration,patient identification at hospitals or inventory management within supply chains.Most of these applications handle sensitive processes or data.This paper proposes a complete security threat model for the read/write operation mode of NFC used in Next Generation Industrial IoT(Nx-IIoT)contexts.This model,based on a wellknown methodology,STRIDE,allows developers and users to identify NFC applications vulnerabilities or weaknesses,analyze potential threats,propose risk management strategies,and design mitigation mechanisms to mention only some significant examples.

On the Application of Reading-to-Write Approach to English Writing Teaching in Senior Middle School

As one of the four basic skills of language teaching and an aspect of communicative competence,writing seems to be the weakest one among senior school students in China.Most of teachers have had such experiences that although we spend a lot of time marking on the students'writing,but only to find the corrections and comments ignored.The students pay little attention to responses and regard revision of their writing as a punishment.Starting from the perspectives of modern linguistic theory,the pressing demands of the new curriculum,and the practical needs of student development,the study analyses the prevalent misconceptions about writing.The author proposes an assumption of integrating the teaching materials with Reading-to-Write Approach in the senior school writing teaching.To examine the validity of the Approach,about one-year action research is carried out in an ordinary high school,adopting the methodology of literature survey,questionnaire survey,interview,testing and so on.The results of the experiment showed that the approach had a more positive impact on students'writing attitudes and habits than traditional teaching methods.This approach helped them much more in word usage,longer sentences,content,and text structure or development.Besides,the students'compe?tence of interaction and cooperation were enhanced,Therefore,the approach in writing teaching is effective.

Laser-Assisted Reduction of Highly Conductive Circuits Based on Copper Nitrate for Flexible Printed Sensors

Stretchable electronic sensing devices are defining the path toward wearable electronics. High-performance flexible strain sensors attached on clothing or human skin are required for potential applications in the entertainment,health monitoring, and medical care sectors. In this work,conducting copper electrodes were fabricated onpolydimethylsiloxane as sensitive stretchable microsensors by integrating laser direct writing and transfer printing approaches. The copper electrode was reduced from copper salt using laser writing rather than the general approach of printing with pre-synthesized copper or copper oxide nanoparticles. An electrical resistivity of 96 l X cm was achieved on 40-lm-thick Cu electrodes on flexible substrates. The motion sensing functionality successfully demonstrated a high sensitivity and mechanical robustness.This in situ fabrication method leads to a path toward electronic devices on flexible substrates.

Impact of multiplexed reading scheme on nanocrossbar memristor memory's scalability

Nanocrossbar is a potential memory architecture to integrate memristor to achieve large scale and high density mem- ory. However, based on the currently widely-adopted parallel reading scheme, scalability of the nanocrossbar memory is limited, since the overhead of the reading circuits is in proportion with the size of the nanocrossbar component. In this paper, a multiplexed reading scheme is adopted as the foundation of the discussion. Through HSPICE simulation, we reanalyze scalability of the nanocrossbar memristor memory by investigating the impact of various circuit parameters on the output voltage swing as the memory scales to larger size. We find that multiplexed reading maintains sufficient noise margin in large size nanocrossbar memristor memory. In order to improve the scalability of the memory, memristors with nonlinear I-V characteristics and high LRS （low resistive state） resistance should be adopted.

This paper is going to explore Roland Barthes,Michel Foucault and Wolfgang Iser’s theories upon the question,death of the author,from three aspects comparatively:What is the connotation of the author in their understandings respectively?Why is death of the author necessary in modern or postmodern period?What will take the author’s position after its death?Through detailed analysis and comparison of their texts and propositions,this paper attempts to indicate that Barthes advocates that textual meaning is within text itself,dispels author’s conclusiveness on meaning of a text,and suggests the openness and multiplicity of textual meaning.By reexamining the writing subject and redefining the function of author,Foucault indicates that the concept“author”is a function of discourse.He degrades author’s crucial significance in the process of textual interpretation,but keeps author as an existential mode of discourse.Wolfgang Iser states that the meaning of a text generates from the reading process,a dialogue between the text and its reader.Once a literary text is finished,it remains quite and full of potentialities,waiting for reader to unfold itself,waiting to realize itself in reading process.
