Real-time crash prediction on freeways using data mining and emerging techniques 被引量:4

Recent advances in intelligent transportation system allow traffic safety studies to extend from historic data-based analyses to real-time applications. The study presents a new method to predict crash likelihood with traffic data collected by discrete loop detectors as well as the web-crawl weather data. Matched case-control method and support vector machines (SVMs) technique were employed to identify the risk status. The adaptive synthetic over-sampling technique was applied to solve the imbalanced dataset issues. Random forest technique was applied to select the contributing factors and avoid the over-fitting issues. The results indicate that the SVMs classifier could successfully classify 76.32% of the crashes on the test dataset and 87.52% of the crashes on the overall dataset, which were relatively satisfactory compared with the results of the previous studies. Compared with the SVMs classifier without the data, the SVMs classifier with the web-crawl weather data increased the crash prediction accuracy by 1.32% and decreased the false alarm rate by 1.72%, showing the potential value of the massive web weather data. Mean impact value method was employed to evaluate the variable effects, and the results are identical with the results of most of previous studies. The emerging technique based on the discrete traffic data and web weather data proves to be more applicable on real- time safety management on freeways. 展开更多

To measure the latency between human motion stimulation and stereo image display response in a visual feedback-based minimally invasive surgical(MIS) robotic system,a method was proposed by comparing the orientations of input and output events through image-processing technology. This method used a black bar to keep pace with the measured joint rotating at a number of speeds. During tests,an external camera was placed in front of the apparatus with a proper visual field,so that it can simultaneously view orientations of both bars fixed on the corresponding joints. After quantitatively analyzing the accuracy of the proposed measurement method,the method was applied to a visual feedback-based master–slave robotic system with two-degrees-of-freedom. Experimental results show that the latency of the overall system was approximately 250 ms,and the opposite clearance of the measured joint was in the range of 1.7°–1.9°. 展开更多

Establishment of a Real-time Fluorescent Quantitative PCR Assay for Detection of Genetically Modified Maize Line MON88017

In order to improve the standardized technical systems of quantitative analyses for genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and products, ensure bio-safety and reduce ecological risk in China, a real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR assay was established for detection of genetically modified maize line MON88017. The established method was evaluated based on the specificity, sensitivity, accuracy and measurement uncertainty. The results showed that the established method had strong specificity in detection of genetically modified maize line MON88017. 1.50% MON88017 sample was detected with 29 replica- tions. The average measured value ( 1. 541% ) was close to the actual value ( 1.50% ) and the relative deviation was 2.70%. The variation coefficient of the measured value was 0.110 g ; the recovery was 100.00% and the measurement uncertainty was 0. 096. The limit of detection for genetically modified maize line MON88017 with the established method was 5 copies at the 97.5% confidence level. Thus, the real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR assay established in this study exhibited high specificity, accuracy and sensitivity, which could provide technical support for the safety supervision of genetically modified organ- isms and products in China. 展开更多

Aiming at the difficulties in the bed load measurement, this paper develops a bottom-mounted monitor to measure the bed load transport rate by adopting the sedimentation pit method and resolving such key problems as weighing and desilting, which can achieve long-time, all-weather and real-time telemeasurement of the bed load transport rate of plain rivers, estuaries and coasts. Both laboratory and field tests show that this monitor is reasonable in design, stable in properties and convenient in measurement, and it can be used to monitor the bed load transport rate in practical projects. 展开更多

Through applying real-time attitude in- formation of the camera that obtained by high-precision attitude sensor to estimate the image motion vector and then to compensate for image, the purpose of stabilizing the image sequence can be a- chieved. Accuracy measurement of the Non-soluble Deposit Density (NSDD) on the insulator surface is very important for the transmission line anti-pollution flashover works. A method to measure the NSDD on double sheds porcelain insulator surface based on laser transmission principle is proposed in this paper. Laser unit and luminous intensity sensor are installed between the up and down surface of the double sheds porcelain insulators, two glass tablets are put between the double sheds. The contamination on the glass tablets will influence the luminous intensity that reaches the intensity sensor. The luminous signal is changed to electrical signal, and the insulator’s NSDD could be obtained based on the difference of luminous intensity. The device can be used in online monitoring of the insulator's NSDD condition on the insulator surface. 展开更多

基于GA-BP网络的数控机床工作台定位误差分析

A real-time method for measuring atmospheric parameters based on co-processor field-programmable gate array (FPGA) and main processor digital signal processing (DSP) is proposed for ground-based telescopes with adaptive optics (AO) systems. Coherence length, outer scale, average wind speed, and coherence time are estimated according to closed-loop data on the residual slopes and the corrected voltages of AO systems. This letter introduces the principle and architecture design of the proposed method, which is successfully applied in the 127-element AO system of the 1.8-m telescope of Yunnan Astronomical Observatory. The method enables real-time atmospheric observations with the same object and path of the AO system. This method is also applicable to extended objects. 展开更多

In order to expand the temperature measuring range, a device was developed which can take several two color images with different shutoff times subsequently within very short time. First, the principle of real time measurement of temperature field with two color thermal images is introduced. Then theoretical analysis on this method, including determination of various parameters, such as shutoff time, number of temperature range, wavelength of the colors, etc. is described. 通过两套大气细颗粒物(PM2.5)水溶性离子在线监测仪与蜂巢式固气分离器膜采样系统作对比,评估了在线监测仪器对主要水溶性组分SO24-、NO3-和NH4+的测定结果.美国URG公司生产的在线连续监测分析系统(AIM URG-9000B)对NH4+和NO3-的监测结... 通过两套大气细颗粒物(PM2.5)水溶性离子在线监测仪与蜂巢式固气分离器膜采样系统作对比,评估了在线监测仪器对主要水溶性组分SO24-、NO3-和NH4+的测定结果.美国URG公司生产的在线连续监测分析系统(AIM URG-9000B)对NH4+和NO3-的监测结果较好,但对SO24-的测定结果存在明显高估,其原因是AIM的平板溶蚀器系统无法完全去除大气中高浓度SO2,从而对SO24-的测定结果有干扰.为解决这一问题,进行了一系列实验,结果表明采用两个溶蚀器串联并用5 mmol.L-1H2O2+5 mmol.L-1NaOH混合溶液作吸收液时,高浓度的SO2(甚至达到260μg.m-3)可以被完全吸收而对SO24-的测定结果不产生影响.由荷兰能源研究所(ECN)、Metrohm和Applikon共同研制的在线气体组分及气溶胶监测系统(MARGA,ADI2080)对NH4+和SO24-的监测结果较好,可以满足实验要求;但NO3-的测定结果偏高,其准确性需作进一步评估.新型监测仪器在不同大气环境中投入使用前需进行对比测试,以确定其准确性和精确性. 展开更多

目的建立5-羟色胺2c受体(5-HTR2c)基因mRNA表达水平的TaqMan real—time PcR检测方法。方法以β-actin为内参基因,根据GenBank中人5-HTR2c及β-actin基因序列,分别设计了2套特异性引物和TaqMan探针,接着对反应的退火温度、引物浓... 目的建立5-羟色胺2c受体(5-HTR2c)基因mRNA表达水平的TaqMan real—time PcR检测方法。方法以β-actin为内参基因,根据GenBank中人5-HTR2c及β-actin基因序列,分别设计了2套特异性引物和TaqMan探针,接着对反应的退火温度、引物浓度、探针浓度、Mg^2+浓度进行优化,然后以优化的条件建立相对定量标准曲线,并对该方法的稳定性进行了分析。结果5-HTR2c及β-actin基因的real—time PCR扩增效率分别为99.9%和100.0%;相对定量标准曲线的CT值线性范围分别为12.2~35.1和11.5~31.5,相关系数分别为0.999及1.000;批内及批问变异系数(8.0%。结论本研究所建立的针对5-HTR2c mRNA表达水平的Taqman real-time PCR检测方法具有扩增效率高、稳定性好等特点,为进一步探索5-HTR2c的功能及其mRNA表达水平的变化和各种疾病发生、发展的相关性提供了有用的方法学基础。 展开更多
