The mutual impedance matrix is derived from electromagnetic boundary conditions and can be used to relate the coupling free open-circuit voltages, instead of the conventional ones, to the measured voltages. A remarkable improvement on compensation for the coupling effects is shown in the direction finding applications, while a simple relationship between measured terminal voltages and the coupling free voltages is remained.展开更多

This structure can greatly reduce alignment requirement, and lighten the signal strength jitter caused by atmospheric turbulence. A prototype of the proposed structure is fabricated and a 2.5 Mbit/s on-off keying(OOK) modulated demonstration link over 40 m free space is built. This asymmetric array structure can effectively collect optical signal while rotating in a window angle of ±17°, and the bit error ratio(BER) keeps zero.展开更多

Conventional adaptive antenna array-based multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO)/OFDM systems use the sub-carriers characterized by the largest eigenvalue to transmit the OFDM symbols. This paper describes the performance of adaptive subchannel assignment-based MIMO/OFDM systems over multipath fading channels, The system adaptively selects the eigenvectors associated with the relatively large subchannel eigenvalues to generate the antenna array weights at the base and mobile stations and then adaptively assigns the corresponding best subchannels to transmit the OFDM symbols. Simulation results show that the proposed system can achieve better performance than the conventional adaptive antenna arraybased MIMO/OFDM system over multipath fading channels.展开更多
