As a concrete example of its applications in physical problems, this method is applied to the (2+1)-dimensional Boiti-Leon-Pempinelli system, which has the extensive physics background, and an abundance of exact solutions is derived from some reduction equations. Based on the derived solutions, the localized structures under the periodic wave background are obtained.展开更多

It is shown that some novel soliton structures, like single linearity soliton structure, breath soliton structure, single linearity y-periodic solitary wave structure, libration dromion structure, and kink-like multisoliton structure with actual physical meaning exist in the (2+1)-dimensional higher-order Boussinesq system.展开更多

SCUSS is an international cooperative project between National Astronomical Observatories, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Steward Observatory at the University of Arizona, using the 90 inch (2.3 m) Bok telescope on Kitt Peak. The telescope is equipped with a prime focus camera that is composed of a mosaic of four 4096 × 4096 CCDs and has a field of view of about 1 deg2. From 2009 to 2013, SCUSS performed a sky survey of an approximately 5000 deg2 field of the South Galactic Cap in u band, including the Galactic anticenter area and the SDSS-IV extended imaging area. The limiting magnitude of SCUSS is deeper than 23 mag (at a signal-to-noise ratio of 5). In this paper, we briefly describe the goals of this project, method of observations and data reduction, and we also introduce current and potential scientific activities related to the SCUSS project.展开更多

In order to solve the many-objective optimization model efficiently, an improved objective reduction(IOR) approach is proposed, aiming at acquiring the smallest set of objectives. The IOR approach utilizes the Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient to measure the relationship between objectives based on the Pareto-optimal front captured by the multi-objective group search optimizer with adaptive covariance and Lévy flights algorithm, and adopts various strategies to reduce the number of objectives gradually. Simulation studies are conducted on an IES consisting of a modified IEEE 30-bus electricity network and a 15-node gas network. The results show that the many-objective optimization problem is transformed into a bi-objective formulation by the IOR. Furthermore, our approach improves the overall quality of dispatch solutions and alleviates the decision making burden.展开更多
