Progresses in Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medical Research on Reproductive Immunology

Reproductive immunology is a crossed subject of reproductive biology and immunobiology. Great progresses have been achieved in the subject along with the deep development in life science. Modern reproductive immunology includes immunological regulation of fertility, materno-fetal immuno-regu-lation, and neuro-reproductive endocrino-immune network. With the integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine (ICWM) applied to reproductive immunology it has been greatly enriched in research contents and depth. The present review is to introduce the recent progresses in research of integrated medicine on reproductive immunology.

Analysis of the Main Body the Object and their Relationship Concerning Research of Traditional Chinese Medicine

This paper is the analysis of the main body, the object and their relationship concerning research of traditional Chinese medicine. The result proved that the main body of research of traditional Chinese medicine is researchers who possessed the fundamentals of traditional Chinese medicine. It is the objects of research of traditional Chinese medicine that origin of a class of traditional Chinese medical literature consisting of herbals which focus on descriptions of individual drugs; the relationship of the technological process of preparing Chinese medicine, as by parching, roasting, baking, steaming, soaking, and simmering, etc.;and technology of separating, extracting and purifying for composition; traditional Chinese medicine dynamics of one of the 12 two-hour periods into which the day was formerly divided before the introduction of western chronology; compatibility of medicines in active compositions; patent, effectiveness for a given period of time and constantly changing of traditional Chinese medicine.The relationship between the main body and the objects was that the former depends on the latter ones and the main body has subjective initiative as fully as possible.

PROGRESS OF RESEARCH IN THE PREPARATION OF CHINESE TRADITIONAL AND HERBAL DRUGS WITH ANTICANCER ACTIVITY

Research into anticancer substances madefrom Chinese herbal drugs and their clinicalapplication is gaining international attention bythe medical profession of the more than 20analogues of camptothecine isolated from Camp-totheca tree in China, most exhibited anticanceractivity. Among them, 10-hydroxycamptothe-cine has a wide anticancer spectrum and is lesstoxic. In suspension, it exhibits some therapeu-tic effects on primary hepatic cancer, gastriccarcinoma, cancer of the urinary bladder andleukemia.

情绪耗竭与工作投入的非线性关系及其边界条件研究

尽管已有研究一直在关注科研工作者情绪耗竭对工作投入的破坏性影响,但均未真正揭示科研工作者有可能在情绪耗竭状态下继续投入工作的内在机制,及其可能存在的边界条件。本文以资源保存理论为基本框架,探索了科研工作者面临情绪耗竭时,如何在工作投入水平上产生变化。结果表明:(1)科研工作者情绪耗竭与工作投入之间存在倒U形的曲线关系。(2)中国人传统性调节科研工作者情绪耗竭和工作投入之间的关系:对于传统性较高的科研工作者,两者之间的关系不显著;对于传统性较低的科研工作者,两者之间的倒U形关系将变得更加明显。(3)感知上级信任调节科研工作者情绪耗竭和工作投入之间的关系:对于感知上级信任较高的科研工作者,两者之间的关系不显著;对于感知上级信任较低的科研工作者,两者之间的倒U形关系将变得更加明显。本研究在理论上有助于拓展资源保存理论的研究,在实践上为更好管理科研工作者并提高其工作投入提供指导。

Comparsion analysis of data mining models applied to clinical research in Traditional Chinese Medicine

OBJECTIVE: To help researchers selecting appropriate data mining models to provide better evidence for the clinical practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) diagnosis and therapy.METHODS: Clinical issues based on data mining models were comprehensively summarized from four significant elements of the clinical studies:symptoms, symptom patterns, herbs, and efficacy.Existing problems were further generalized to determine the relevant factors of the performance of data mining models, e.g. data type, samples, parameters, variable labels. Combining these relevant factors, the TCM clinical data features were compared with regards to statistical characters and informatics properties. Data models were compared simultaneously from the view of applied conditions and suitable scopes.RESULTS: The main application problems were the inconsistent data type and the small samples for the used data mining models, which caused the inappropriate results, even the mistake results. These features, i.e. advantages, disadvantages, satisfied data types, tasks of data mining, and the TCM issues, were summarized and compared.CONCLUSION: By aiming at the special features of different data mining models, the clinical doctors could select the suitable data mining models to resolve the TCM problem.

Principles of Ethics Review on Traditional Medicine and the Practice of Institute Review Board in China

As one of the significant parts of medical science research in China,the research on Chinese medicine（CM） reflects the essence of healthcare tradition in the country both theoretically and clinically, and embodies the values of Chinese culture.Therefore,in the practice of ethics review on CM research protocols,besides abiding by the contemporary prevalent international principles and guidelines on bioethics, which emphasizes the scientific and bioethical value of the study,we should also stress the CM theoretical background and relevant clinical experience in the framework of Chinese culture and values.In this paper, we went over the traits of CM clinical research and the experience from the practice of ethics review by the institution review board for bioethics,and then attempted to summarize the key points for the bioethics review to CM researches in China,so as to serve as reference for the bioethics review to traditional and alternative medicine researches.

Design and Analysis of Post-marketing Research

A post-marketing study is an integral part of research that helps to ensure a favorable risk-benefit profile for approved drugs used in the market. Because most of post-marketing studies use observational designs, which are liable to confounding, estimation of the causal effect of a drug versus a comparative one is very challenging. This article focuses on methodological issues of importance in designing and analyzing studies to evaluate the safety of marketed drugs, especially marketed traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） products. Advantages and limitations of the current designs and analytic methods for postmarketing studies are discussed, and recommendations are given for improving the validity of postmarketing studies in TCM products.
