Experiments were conducted under non-isothermal condition in a nitrogen atmosphere at the heating rate of 10, 20, 30 and 40 ℃/min, respectively. TG curves showed that, in the temperature range of 25 to 600 ℃, the stability of the resin systems could be enhanced by increasing the length of the aliphatic chain in the initiator. Both the Kissinger method and the Ozawa-Flyrm-Wall method were employed to calculate activation energies of the decomposition reaction, and the values obtained from the two methods were compared. Moreover, the corresponding reaction mechanism was identified by the Achar differential method and the Coats- Redfem integral method. The experimental results showed that these four methods were reliable and effective to study the kinetics of the thermal decomposition reaction; and the most probable thermal decomposition mechanism of the resin systems we proposed was found to comply with Mampel power law (m=1).展开更多

The dependence of conductivity was investigated as a function of salt content, composition and temperature. It has been revealed that a maximum of conductivity appeared when EO/Li=25, where EO denotes the—(CH_2CH_2O)-unit in polyethylene glycol, and that the temperature dependence of conductivity followed VTF equation, suggesting that the motion of ionic carriers resulted from the segmental motion of the polymer. When glycerol epoxy resin was used instead of bisphenol A epoxy, the ambient temperature (25℃) conductivity could somewhat further be raised up to 3×10^(-5) S/cm.展开更多

The fluorescence behavior of PMMA: Na 3Eu(DPA) 3 material was examined. The results show that the composite material keeps the luminescent characteristics of the Eu 3+ chelate after PMMA is incorporated with Na 3Eu(DPA) 3, and strong orange-red emission of the composite was observed. The fluorescence intensity of the composite material increases with the increase of the weight ratio of Na 3Eu(DPA) 3 to PMMA, but the relationship is not linear.展开更多

The study of the optical property showed that they have good luminescent properties such as a high luminous intensity and a long luminous lifetime. In addition, we investigated the relationship among the transparency, the luminescent property of the copolymer, and the content of the components in the polymeric system. The results indicated that the optical resins can provide a relatively stable environment for composite rare earth complexes, which is good to exhibit the luminescent properties of rare earth complexes. At the same time, the rare earth complexes can offer the transparent resin a novel function.展开更多
