A detailed understanding of the distribution and potential of natural gas hydrate(NGHs)resources is crucial to fostering the industrialization of those resources in the South China Sea,where NGHs are abundant.In this ...A detailed understanding of the distribution and potential of natural gas hydrate(NGHs)resources is crucial to fostering the industrialization of those resources in the South China Sea,where NGHs are abundant.In this study,this study analyzed the applicability of resource evaluation methods,including the volumetric,genesis,and analogy methods,and estimated NGHs resource potential in the South China Sea by using scientific resource evaluation methods based on the factors controlling the geological accumulation and the reservoir characteristics of NGHs.Furthermore,this study compared the evaluation results of NGHs resource evaluations in representative worldwise sea areas via rational analysis.The results of this study are as follows:(1)The gas hydrate accumulation in the South China Sea is characterized by multiple sources of gas supply,multi-channel migration,and extensive accumulation,which are significantly different from those of oil and gas and other unconventional resources.(2)The evaluation of gas hydrate resources in the South China Sea is a highly targeted,stratified,and multidisciplinary evaluation of geological resources under the framework of a multi-type gas hydrate resource evaluation system and focuses on the comprehensive utilization of multi-source heterogeneous data.(3)Global NGHs resources is n×10^(15)m^(3),while the NGHs resources in the South China Sea are estimated to be 10^(13)m^(3),which is comparable to the abundance of typical marine NGHs deposits in other parts of the world.In the South China Sea,the NGHs resources have a broad prospect and provide a substantial resource base for production tests and industrialization of NGHs.展开更多

A reliable assessment of wave energy resources must be performed before they can be exploited. Compared with wave model, altimeter can provide more accurate in situ observations for ocean wave which can be as a novel method for wave energy assessment.The advantage of altimeter data is to provide accurate significant wave height observations for wave. In order to develop characteristic and advantage of altimeter data and apply altimeter data to wave energy assessment, in this study, we established an assessing method for wave energy in local sea area which is dedicated to altimeter data.This method includes three parts including data selection and processing, establishment of evaluation indexes system and criterion of regional division. Then a case study of Northwest Pacific was performed to discuss specific application for this method. The results show that assessing method in this paper can assess reserves and temporal and spatial distribution effectively and provide scientific references for the siting of wave power plants and the design of wave energy convertors.展开更多

Such plan usually cannot reflect the relative size of the suitability of the development and utilization of mineral resources. To solve the problem, the paper has selected the gift condition, the market condition, the technological condition,socio-economic condition and environmental condition as the starting-points to analyze the influential factors of the priority-sequence of mineral resources' development and utilization. The above 5 conditions are further specified into 9 evaluative indicators to establish an evaluation indicator system. At last,we propose a decision model of the priority sequence based on grey relational analysis method, and figure out the observation objects by the suitability index of development. Finally, the mineral resources of a certain province in China were analyzed as an example. The calculation results indicate that silver(2.0057), coal(1.9955), zinc(1.9442), cement limestone(1.9077), solvent limestone(1.5624) and other minerals in the province are suitable for development and utilization.展开更多

The purpose is to pro- pose an optimal extraction series of these resources during the lifetime of the Mine's maintenance. Fol- lowing the proposed optimal control model, a sensitivity analysis has been performed that includes the interest rate impact on the optimal solution. This study shows that the increasing of the interest rate sti- mulates faster extraction of the resources. The discounting factor induces that the resource has to be extracted faster hut this effect is counterbalanced by the diminishing returns of the annual cash flow. At higher parameters of "alpha" close to one of the power function about 80% from the whole resource will be extracted during the first 4 years of object/mine maintenance. An existence of unique positive root with respect to return of investment has been proposed and proved by two ways: by the "method of chords" and by using specialized software.展开更多

The research on tight oil becomes another hotspot in the field of unconventional oil and gas after the boom of shale gas.The global recoverable resources of tight oil are estimated to be around 47.3×10^(9)t.In re...The research on tight oil becomes another hotspot in the field of unconventional oil and gas after the boom of shale gas.The global recoverable resources of tight oil are estimated to be around 47.3×10^(9)t.In recent years,significant progress has been made in the technologies of tight oil exploration and development in North America,thus stimulating the dramatic increase of tight oil production.Meanwhile,China has also acquired remarkable achievements in tight oil exploration.Mature assessment methods have been established for tight oil resources by the US,generally dominated by analogy and statistical methods with their own advantages and disadvantages as well as applicable conditions.In China,improvement of resource evaluation techniques becomes an urgent issue in increasing tight oil reserve and production.This study mainly discusses the resource evaluation methods and resource enrichment characteristics of tight oil.Seven kinds of assessment methods in three categories(i.e.,analogy,statistical and genetic method)and evaluation parameters have been preliminary established,and are specifically applied in the Sichuan,Ordos,Songliao,Junggar,Bohai Bay and other tight oil basins through the newly hierarchical resource abundance analogy method,the estimated ultimate recovery(EUR)analogy method and the small-cell volumetric method.The preliminary evaluation results reveal that China has great potential in tight oil resource,and the geological resources amount to 20×10^(9)t,providing a resource base for large-scale development.展开更多
