To better reduce the carbon emissions of a park-integrated energy system(PIES),optimize the comprehensive operating cost,and smooth the load curve,a source-load flexible response model based on the comprehensive evalu...To better reduce the carbon emissions of a park-integrated energy system(PIES),optimize the comprehensive operating cost,and smooth the load curve,a source-load flexible response model based on the comprehensive evaluation index is proposed.Firstly,a source-load flexible response model is proposed under the stepped carbon trading mechanism;the organic Rankine cycle is introduced into the source-side to construct a flexible response model with traditional combined heat and power(CHP)unit and electric boiler to realize the flexible response of CHP to load;and the load-side categorizes loads into transferable,interruptible,and substitutable loads according to the load characteristics and establishes a comprehensive demand response model.Secondly,the analytic network process(ANP)considers the linkages between indicators and allows decision-makers to consider the interactions of elements in a complex dynamic system,resulting in more realistic indicator assignment values.Considering the economy,energy efficiency,and environment,the PIES optimization operation model based on the ANP comprehensive evaluation index is constructed to optimize the system operation comprehensively.Finally,the CPLEX solver inMATLABwas employed to solve the problem.The results of the example showthat the source-load flexible response model proposed in this paper reduces the operating cost of the system by 29.90%,improves the comprehensive utilization rate by 15.00%,and reduces the carbon emission by 26.98%,which effectively enhances the system’s economy and low carbon,and the comprehensive evaluation index based on the ANP reaches 0.95,which takes into account the economy,energy efficiency,and the environment,and is more superior than the single evaluation index.展开更多

The aim of the present work is to further understand the response performance of the vortex induced vibration(VIV) for a riser with helical strakes. The experiment was accomplished in the towing tank and the relative current was simulated by towing a flexible riser in one direction. Based on the modal analysis method, the displacement responses can be obtained by the measured strain. The strakes with different heights are analyzed here, and the response parameters like strain response and displacement response are studied. The experimental results show that the in-line(IL) response is as important as the cross-flow(CF) response, however, many industrial analysis methods usually ignore the IL response due to VIV. The results also indicate that the response characteristics of a bare riser can be quite distinct from that of a riser with helical strakes, and the response performance depends on the geometry on the helical strakes closely. The fatigue damage is further discussed and the results show that the fatigue damage in the CF direction is of the same order as that in the IL direction for the bare riser. However, for the riser with helical strakes, the fatigue damage in the CF direction is much smaller than that in the IL direction.展开更多

To this end, a sequence of assessment measurements or mitigation mechanisms is required. Meanwhile, the increasing renewable energy resources(RESs) and flexible demand response resources(DRSs) are changing the behaviors of market participants and creating new cases of market power abuse.Such new circumstances bring the new evaluation and control methods of market power to the forefront. This paper provides a comprehensive review of market power in the reshaping of power systems due to the increasing RES and the development of DRS. The market power at the supply side, demand side,and in the multi-energy system is categorized and reviewed. In addition, the applications of market power supervision measures in the US, the Nordics, UK, and China are summarized.Furthermore, the unsolved issues, possible key technologies,and potential research topics on market power are discussed.展开更多
Egg rejection is the most effective and widespread defense used by host species to counteract the extreme fitness costs frequently imposed by obligate avian brood parasites.Yet,the proximate mechanisms underlying betw...Egg rejection is the most effective and widespread defense used by host species to counteract the extreme fitness costs frequently imposed by obligate avian brood parasites.Yet,the proximate mechanisms underlying between-and within-individual variation in host responses remain poorly explored.Emerging evidence suggests that egg rejection is dependent on individual physiological states,and draws attention to the role of hormones as mediators of flexible antiparasitic responses.In this perspective article,I outline recent advances in our understanding of the proximate factors that mediate egg rejection.I also point out some areas where knowledge remains still lacking,especially those related to the development and maintenance of effective cognitive functions,the potential role of oxidative stress,immunological state,and developmental stressors.I propose new hypotheses that stimulate future research on behavioral host responses toward brood parasitism.展开更多
