T...In this paper, we present numerically and experimentally the linear beam-optics distortion in the SSRF storage ring and the correction of optics by using a number of quadrupole magnets installed in the storage ring. The measured orbit-response matrices were fitted to the model-response matrices to obtain the β and the dispersion functions in the storage ring. By readjusting the currents of quadrupole-magnet power supplies, we were able to successfully restore the optics parameters to values very close to the design ones, with rms deviations around 1%. This periodicity restoration is verified with the β function measurement.展开更多

In this study, a cDNA encoding matrix metallopeptidase 3 was isolated and characterized from the Asian yellow pond turtle Mauremys mutica(designated as MaMMP3). The MaMMP3 cDNA is 1805 bp and consists of a 5'-untranslated region(UTR) of 56 bp, a 3'-UTR of 243 bp, and an open reading frame(ORF) of 1506 bp encoding 481 amino acids. Homology analysis of MaMMP3 revealed that the MaMMP3 shared 25%–63% similarity to other known MMP3 sequences. The genomic sequence covers 6007 bp. Comparative analysis of the cDNA sequence revealed that the Asian yellow pond turtle MMP3 has eight exons and seven introns. The phylogenetic tree showed that the MaMMP3 is closely related to Gallus gallus MMP3 and Taeniopygia guttata MMP3. The mRNA expression of the MaMMP3 in normal group without any bacterial challenge could be detected in all studied tissues including kidney, heart, live and spleen, with the highest level in the spleen. The results of immune challenge showed that the expression level of MaMMP3 was up-regulated in the spleen and liver. These results provided an important information for studying the roles of Asian yellow pond turtle MMP3 in immunity further.展开更多

A 3-DOF four-point-elastic-su...As the stiffness of the elastic support varies with the physical-chemical erosion and mechanical friction, model catastrophe of a single degree-of-freedom(DOF) isolation system may occur. A 3-DOF four-point-elastic-support rigid plate(FERP) structure is presented to describe the catastrophic isolation system. Based on the newly-established structure, theoretical derivation for stiffness matrix calculation by free response(SMCby FR) and the method of stiffness identification by stiffness matrix disassembly(SIby SMD)are proposed. By integrating the SMCby FR and the SIby SMD and defining the stiffness assurance criterion(SAC), the procedures for stiffness identification of a FERP structure(SIFERP) are summarized. Then, a numerical example is adopted for the SIFERP validation, in which the simulated tested free response data are generated by the numerical methods, and operation for filtering noise is conducted to imitate the practical application. Results in the numerical example demonstrate the feasibility and accuracy of the developed SIFERP for stiffness identification.展开更多

Based on an asymptotic expansion of the scattering amplitude proposed by Ammari et al., the reconstruction problem can be reduced to a calculation of Green function corresponding to the background medium. In addition, we use an explicit formulation of Green function in the MUSIC algorithm to simplify the calculation when the cross-section of sample is a half-disc. Matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9) plays a beneficial role in the sub-acute phase after ischemic stroke.However,unrestrained MMP-9 may disrupt the blood-brain barrier(BBB),which has limited its use for the treatmen...Matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9) plays a beneficial role in the sub-acute phase after ischemic stroke.However,unrestrained MMP-9 may disrupt the blood-brain barrier(BBB),which has limited its use for the treatment of brain ischemia.In the present study,we constructed lentivirus mediated hypoxiacontrolled MMP-9 expression and explored its role after stroke.Hypoxia response element(HRE)was used to confine MMP-9 expression only to the hypoxic region of mouse brain after 120-min transient middle cerebral artery occlusion.Lentiviruses were injected into the peri-infarct area on day 7 after transient ischemia.We found hyperexpression of exogenous HRE-MMP-9 under the control of hypoxia,and its expression was mainly located in neurons and astrocytes without aggravation of BBB damage compared to the CMV group.Furthermore,mice in the HRE-MMP-9 group showed the best behavioral recovery compared with the normal saline,GFP,and SB-3CT groups.Therefore,hypoxia-controlled MMP-9 hyperexpression during the sub-acute phase of ischemia may provide a novel promising approach of gene therapy for stroke.展开更多
In groundwater management,the exchanges between groundwater and other water such as surface water and spring water need to be considered.Some exchange is dependent on the ground-water level,which is called covariate.T...In groundwater management,the exchanges between groundwater and other water such as surface water and spring water need to be considered.Some exchange is dependent on the ground-water level,which is called covariate.The pumping rate,groundwater level,and covariate interact and the relation of mutual-feed joint-variation is used to describe their interaction.This article presents a new approach of dealing with the relation in groundwater management model.The mathematical for-mulation of the relation,as an additional equality constraint in the optimization model,is developed using response matrix method.Thereby the groundwater management model with covariate is set up.The code for the simulation and management of groundwater system with covariate is programmed with Fortran 90,and the optimal pumping rate,groundwater level,and covariate are obtained.The approach is verified with a hypothetical case.Finally,the approach is applied to the groundwater management of Qianguo(前郭) area in western Jilin(吉林) Province.The results indicate that the ap-proach is feasible.It provides a universal solution for various covariates and reduces the computational complexity compared to iteration method.The approach is proven to be very efficient to solve ground-water management problem with covariate.展开更多
