As part of a larger research project that surveyed bus operators about their corporate social responsibility, bivariate analysis found that the responses to the embedded Sense of Community Index (SOCI) did not provide a predictor of the extent of a bus operator's community interaction or determinant of Corporate Responsibility (CR). However, qualitative comments in the survey suggested that bus operators did display strong positive feelings about their community. Published after the data collection stage was completed, the Sense of Community Responsibility Index (SOCRI) appeared to be a better fit than SOCI to explain the nature of bus operator's interaction with their community. Rather than drawing on community resources, the interaction was shown to be one of leaderships on the part of the operator. Two-dimensional(2D)materials have gained considerable attention in chemical sensing owing to their naturally high surface-to-volume ratio.However,the poor response time and incomplete recovery re-strict their applicat...Two-dimensional(2D)materials have gained considerable attention in chemical sensing owing to their naturally high surface-to-volume ratio.However,the poor response time and incomplete recovery re-strict their application in practical,high performance gas sensors.In this work,we fabricated air-stable ReS_(2)/GaSe heterostructure-based NO_(2)gas sensors with excellent gas sensing response,recovery,selectiv-ity and a low limit of detection(LOD)toward nitrogen dioxide(NO_(2)).The ReS_(2)/GaSe heterostructure was prepared via mechanical exfoliation and an all-dry transfer method.Before the sensing measurements,temperature-dependant transport measurements were carried out.The Schottky Barrier Height(SBH)of the ReS_(2)/GaSe heterostructure was calculated and the corresponding transport mechanisms were dis-cussed.The fabricated gas sensors showed a significant response enhancement with full reversibility to-ward ppm-level NO_(2)(response of∼17%at 3 ppm,a LOD of∼556 ppb)at an operating temperature of(33°C).In particular,the total response and recovery time of the ReS_(2)/GaSe was revealed to be less than 4 min(∼38 s and∼174 s,respectively)for the 250 ppm concentration,which is one of the best response and recovery time toward ppm-level NO_(2).The excellent sensing performances and recovery characteris-tics of the ReS_(2)/GaSe structure are attributed to its efficient charge separation,unique interlayer coupling and desirable band alignments.This atomically thin,ultrasensitive gas sensor that operates at room tem-perature is a strong technological contender to conventional metal oxide gas sensors,which often require elevated temperatures.展开更多
A H_(2)O_(2)-triggered stimulus response electrochemiluminescence(ECL)sensor for sensitive detection of cancer cells using mesoporous silica nanoparticles(MSNs)has been proposed.ECL signal-generating molecules(Ru(phen...A H_(2)O_(2)-triggered stimulus response electrochemiluminescence(ECL)sensor for sensitive detection of cancer cells using mesoporous silica nanoparticles(MSNs)has been proposed.ECL signal-generating molecules(Ru(phen)32+)were encap-sulated into phenylboronic acid group-functionalized MSNs(PBA-MSNs)porous and capped by polyhydroxy functioned Au nanoparticles(AuNPs)through the interaction of carbohydrate-boronic acid first.Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)were applied to characterize the materials.The proposed controlled release sensing platform shows approximately no leakage from the mesoporrs of MSNs after a long time of storage.Cancer cells are initially incubated with the functionalized MSNs and then treated with ascorbic acid to endogenously produce H_(2)O_(2).Arylboronic esters in the MSNs surface can be oxidized by the produced H_(2)O_(2),causing the releasing of the molecule from MSNs and increased ECL signal.This technique displayed an excellent measurement for the breast cancer cells’sensitive diagnosis with a detection limit of 208 cells/mL.The phenomenon suggests that this sensing platform may be potentially applied for breast cancer sensitive detection in the future.展开更多
Developing a professional ethics is crucial towards amassing the ranks of high-quality teachers,which contributes to the improvement of national education.This study bases its analysis on the survey of humanistic qual...Developing a professional ethics is crucial towards amassing the ranks of high-quality teachers,which contributes to the improvement of national education.This study bases its analysis on the survey of humanistic qualities of Chinese citizens.3348 teachers at three different levels from 31 provinces,autonomous regions and municipalities of China are investigated into their professional moral conducts in terms of sense of responsibility and initiative.The result shows that the professional moral levels differ distinctly among teachers from universities,junior or senior high schools and primary schools.The results suggest that professional ethics is vulnerable to external factors.It is essential for the construction of teachers’professional ethics to improve their moral culture.展开更多
