In some competitions the rules clearly state that all participating cars must install a restrictor valve structure in the intake system of the engine.The intake air volume of the engine is considerably affected due to...In some competitions the rules clearly state that all participating cars must install a restrictor valve structure in the intake system of the engine.The intake air volume of the engine is considerably affected due to the existence of such a valve.Indeed,a small interface diameter through which gas flows can lead to considerable flow resistance and loss.In this study,a four-cylinder engine for FSC racing is analyzed using a combined method based on numerical simulation and experiments.The analysis reveals that the main factors affecting the intake air volume are the intake manifold and the volume of the resonance chamber.The influence of such factors is assessed using a single variable method and an optimal model and parameters are obtained accordingly.Comparison of different results show that the maximum torque for the optimized system is increased from the original 42.6 N·m to 46.9 N·m,thus demonstrating an increase of 10.6%.These findings provide a theoretical basis for the design of the intake system and the improvement of engine performance.展开更多

FACSort flow cytometer and Innotest P24 HIV(Human immtmodeficiency Vi...MTT Cell Proliferation Assay was used to optimize the concentration of Telomerase Restrictors(TRs) with minimum toxicity to the selected cells. FACSort flow cytometer and Innotest P24 HIV(Human immtmodeficiency Virus) antigen mAb ELISA Kit were used to investigate the anti-HIV-1 activities of TRs. The results showed that TRs had low cytotoxicity to the PBMC (Peripheral Blood mononuclear cells) and CEM/GFP if the concentration of TRs was at 50μmol/L or below, and the supernatant from PBMC pretreated with SHIV and TR1-001 /TR1-002 could not infect the PBMC, while can infect the C8166 with reduced infectivity, which suggested that the TRs may be one of the novel resources for screening anti-HIV-1 agents.展开更多

The results indicated that the restriction performance of unitary Ti porous restrictor was not only dependent on the morphology and particle size of the original powder, but also influenced by the molding pressure, sintering temperature and sintering pressure. The restrictor obtained from titanium powder with large particle size or spherical morphology possesses big porosity, large pore size and high permeability but low restriction. Instead, the restrictor derived from fine powder with irregular morphology had small porosity, narrow pore size but high restriction performance. In addition, the restriction ability of the titanium porous restrictor metals increased by increasing of molding and sintering pressure and the sintering temperature. However, a much higher sintering temperature induced a bad welding status, which ascribed to excessive sintering shrinkage of the porous restrictor, and the cracks between the porous body and the compact shell easily occurred. Finally, the strength of the dense Ti shell would decrease due to the flaws caused by the grain growth during sintering process. It was an ideal method to avoid the grain growth at high temperature through increasing the molding and sintering pressure and decreasing the sintering temperature, which could obtain a good sinter behavior and air tightness between the porous body and the Ti shell, thus, which satisfied the requirements in the applications.展开更多
