Asian Financial Cooperation Association(AFCA), with its nature and positioning similar to the IIF, is a newly founded international NGO under the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI). Therefore, AFCA can draw upon the existing experience of the IIF. Under the BRI, according to the Articles of AFCA, the non-governmental financial cooperation adopted by the IIF includes these three aspects; coordinating regional financing, developing regional financial markets, and maintaining regional financial stability. Further, since AFCA is non-governmental, it faces certain risks and challenges. In future, the new financial cooperation backed by AFCA needs to evolve and improve over time to better support the Belt and Road construction.展开更多

In order to better mitigate risks and enhance the safety of investments, it is of significant importance to research the oil and gas investment environment in these countries for China's overseas investment macro-layout. This paper proposes an indicator system including 27 indicators from 6 dimensions. On this basis, game theory models combined with global entropy method and analytic hierarchy process are applied to determine the combined weights, and the TOPSIS-GRA model is utilized to assess the risks of oil and gas investment in 76 countries along the Initiative from 2014 to 2021. Finally, the GM(1,1) model is employed to predict risk values for 2022-2025. In conclusion, oil and gas resources and political factors have the greatest impact on investment environment risk, and 12 countries with greater investment potential are selected through cluster analysis in conjunction with the predicted results. The research findings may provide scientific decisionmaking recommendations for the Chinese government and oil enterprises to strengthen oil and gas investment cooperation with countries along the Belt and Road Initiative.展开更多

文摘"The Belt and Road Initiative"is major decision proposed by the CPC Central Committee with comrade Xi Jinping as the core co-ordinating the domestic and international overall situations, and concerns peaceful rise of China and extension of the strategic opportunity period of modernization construction. It needs multi-faceted safeguards to successfully impel"the Belt and Road Initiative",in which disaster risk identification and its effective prevention and control are indispensable links.By integrating geogeographic and atmospheric environmental factors, countries along"the Belt and Road Initiative"belong to frequent occurrence region of major natural disasters. It restricts not only the economic and social development of relevant countries but also implementation effect of"the Belt and Road Initiative"construction, and is also related to the success or failure of Chinese enterprises going out to a certain extent. It should enhance disaster prevention and mitigation and ensure safety of major infrastructure construction related to interconnection of"the Belt and Road Initiative"by disaster identification and prevention, which is the key of successfully impelling strategy implementation and major need for guaranteeing the people s livelihood of the countries along the line. The work of disaster prevention and mitigation in the countries along the line is generally weak, and it is urgent to raise the level of disaster prevention as a whole by promoting the disaster prevention and mitigation cooperation in the"the Belt and Road Initiative"area;improve the coverage and level of disaster risk insurance;enhance construction in monitoring and early warning capability of natural disaster;strengthen structural adjustment of economy, industry and land use responding to climate change risks;establish a comprehensive disaster reduction forum of"the Belt and Road Initiative",and contain relevant content in"the Belt and Road Initiative"series of high-end forum topics.
文摘With the continuous development andprogress of social economy, people pay more and moreattention to financial risks. Thus modern economy hasclose link with finance, and the One Belt and One Roadis a new exploration of social economy. If the moderneconomy wants better development, One Belt and OneRoad construction should be brought into economicdevelopment. And it has an impact on trade financingand outward investment of enterprises. Therefore,if it wants to be carried out smoothly, the financialmanagement mechanism should be improved. In thispaper, a concrete analysis of the identification andsupervision of financial risks will be made under OneBelt and One Road construction.

文摘There are four distinctive features in Egypt’s port construction and maritime transportation:Egypt’s port construction and maritime transportation is a vital part of the international shipping system;maritime transportation is an important backbone industry in Egypt;Egypt’s port construction propels its domestic economy and international interaction;and the capacity for ocean shipping still needs upgrading.China’s participation in Egypt’s port construction is,on one side, the further demand of China’s economic globalization, and on the other side,it is an outcome of the beneficial interactions between China and Egypt.Egypt’s port construction has started a new chapter ever since Abdel Fattah al Sisi assumed power. As opportunities and risks coexist in China’s participation in Egypt’s port construction, only when we are fully aware of the risks and make scientific decisions based on China’s own strengths can we effectively participate in Egypt’s port construction to yield a win-win result.
文摘The Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation has ushered in a new phase featuring the joint promotion of a comprehensive,high-quality Belt and Road construction.Advancing the construction of a high-quality Belt and Road is based not only on the solid achievements of its six years of consolidation and practical cooperation, but also on the guidance of China’s initiatives and proposals, general recognition by the countries along the Belt and Road,as well as the support and recognition from international organizations like the United Nations. However, the uncertainty and instability found in the ever-changing international environment, the suspicion and strategic competition from extraterritorial major countries, and other concrete problems appearing during its construction over the past six years have also posed certain challenges that cannot be ignored. The direction of its high-quality development in this new phase involves China’s proactive selection to face the changing international environment and curtail suspicions from the outside world,as well as to resolve the difficulties and problems it encounters along the way in a timely manner, which will ensure the long-term sustainability of the Belt and Road.Achieving this goal calls for long-term system engineering, wherein China should continue to play a steering role, and the convergence of the interests of the countries along the Belt and Road so as to fuse these nations, each with their own respective resources, closely together by building a regional value chain. In such a closely-knit community,high-quality infrastructure serves as the backbone, while diversified financing institutions and functions serve as the arteries.Meanwhile, institutional building should also be emphasized, which will ensure that the goals for building a high-quality Belt and Road are fulfilled at different levels.

文摘Non-governmental organizations(NGOs), represented by the Institute of International Finance(IIF), are an important means of international financial cooperation. In future, the new financial cooperation backed by AFCA needs to evolve and improve over time to better support the Belt and Road construction.

文摘With the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, China is deepening its cooperation in oil and gas resources with countries along the Initiative. The research findings may provide scientific decisionmaking recommendations for the Chinese government and oil enterprises to strengthen oil and gas investment cooperation with countries along the Belt and Road Initiative.
