An asymmetrical rolling force model was established, and the upper and lower neutral points were determined. Thc bending which resulted from the asymmetrical rolling force at the roll gap was studied and related flexibility equations were proposed according to elastic mechanics. Moreover, material mechanics was used to analyze the effects of temperature difference and self-weight on the bending out of the roll gap, and the flexibility equations were constructed. The main factors on bending were summed up, and the bending rule in the rolling could be obtained. In addition practical calculation was made with the production data of ribbon steel from Laiwu Iron & Steel Group Co. Ltd. 展开更多

In order to simulate and analyze hot strip crown and flatness accurately and efficiently, the 3-D (three-di- mensional) coupled model involved in RPFEM (rigid-plastic finite element method) is improved based on the analyti- cal model of forecasting rolling force distribution. In the analytical model, variational method is employed to solve the lateral flow of metal and influential function method is employed to calculate roll deflection, the lateral distribution of rolling force can be obtained rapidly by iterative strategy. Then the 3-D coupled model uses the result as initial distri- bution of rolling force to calculate roll deflection and makes the initial on-load roll gap profile close to the final value, so as to reduce iterations and increase efficiency. Compared with previous algorithms, the improved model can reduce the iterations by about 50% and shorten the computing time by about 60% on the basis of the calculation accuracy. 展开更多

The character of the deformation zone on pair cross rolls is different from that of the regular 4-high mill. Considering comprehensive influences of normal stress and shear stress in rolling direction, width direction and thickness direction, the rolling force calculation model of the PC (pair crossed) hot strip mill is built. Taking the entry stress and the exit stress of strip as the boundary conditions, the longitudinal and transverse distribution of rolling force is worked out by the differential method. Then the total rolling force is calculated, and calculated results are verified by experimental data. 展开更多
