There are three sub-cases of basal detachment for the rigid body model: horizontal detachment, antithetic detachment and synthetic detachment. For the rigid body model, the established equations indicate that the total displacement on the synthetic base (Dt2) is the largest, that on the horizontal base (Dt1) is moderate, and that on the antithetic base (Dt3) is the smallest. On the other hand, the value of (Dt1) is larger than the displacement for the vertical shear (Dt4). The value of (Dt1) is larger than or less than the displacement for the inclined shear (Dt5) depending on the original fault dip δ0, bedding angle θ, and the angle of shear direction β. For all original parameters, the value of Dt5 is less than the value of Dt4. Also, by comparing three rotation mechanisms, we find that the inclined shear produces largest extension, the rigid body model with horizontal detachment produces the smallest extension, and the vertical shear model produces moderate extension.展开更多

Meanwhile the time index and frequency index are introduced to represent the new features. The new feature extraction strategy is tested by the experimental data that collected from Bently rotor experiment system. The results show that this methodology is very effective to extract the feature of vibration signals in the rotor speed-up course and can be extended to other non-stationary signal analysis fields in the future.展开更多

The focal mechanism solutions of micro-earthquakes, whose locations are precisely determined by the seismic network, have confirmed the structural characteristics to be the rotational planar normal fault and demon-strated the surface traces of the north boundary fault of Yanqing-Fanshan sub-basin. By using the digital recordings of earthquakes with the high resolutions and analyzing the mechanism solutions, our study has revealed the rela-tionship between the geological phenomena in the shallow and deep structures in Yanqing-Huailai basin and the transition features from the brittle to ductile deformation with the crustal depth.展开更多

According to the theory , an inference model , named as FSL , is thus designed to be devoted to the building of a fault diagnosis expert system for rotating machinery (ROSLES) . The system is put into operation on a vibration simula- tor stand for 300 MW turbine generator set ( 1 : 1 0) and satisfactory results are gained.展开更多

This paper describes a multi-sensor fusion system, which is model-based and used for rotating mechanical failure diagnosis. In the data fusion process, the fuzzy neural network is selected and used for the data fusion at report level. By comparing the experimental results of fault diagnoses based on fusion data wi th that on original separate data,it is shown that the former is more accurate than the latter.展开更多
