In order to compensate for the disturbance of wide variation in rotor demanded torque on power turbine speed and realize the fast response control of turboshaft engine during variable rotor speed,a cascade PID control...In order to compensate for the disturbance of wide variation in rotor demanded torque on power turbine speed and realize the fast response control of turboshaft engine during variable rotor speed,a cascade PID control method based on the acceleration estimator of gas turbine speed(Ngdot)and rotor predicted torque feedforward is proposed.Firstly,a two-speed Dual Clutch Transmission(DCT)model is applied in the integrated rotor/turboshaft engine system to achieve variable rotor speed.Then,an online estimation method of Ngdot based on the Linear Quadratic Gaussian with Loop Transfer Recovery(LQG/LTR)is proposed for power turbine speed cascade control.Finally,according to the cascade PID controller based on Ngdot estimator,a rotor demanded torque predicted method based on the Min-batch Gradient Descent-Neural Network(MGD-NN)is put forward to compromise the influence of rotor torque interference.The simulation results show that compared with cascade PID controller based on Ngdot estimator and the one combined with collective pitch feedforward control,the novel control method proposed can reduce the overshoot of power turbine speed by more than 20%,which possesses faster response,superior dynamic effect and satisfactory robustness performance.The control method proposed can realize the fast response control of turboshaft engine with variable rotor speed better.展开更多
High wind power penetration(WPP)is challenging system frequency stability.As a countermeasure,virtual inertia controls are introduced,utilizing kinetic energy(KE)stored in wind turbine generators(WTGs)for frequency re...High wind power penetration(WPP)is challenging system frequency stability.As a countermeasure,virtual inertia controls are introduced,utilizing kinetic energy(KE)stored in wind turbine generators(WTGs)for frequency regulation.Without restoration,generation efficiency of WTGs will be degraded after inertia contribution.To counter this issue,we propose an inertia control scheme of a doubly fed induction generator(DFIG),aiming at achieving dynamic inertia recovery regarding both KE and DC link energy.An asymmetrical droop control,referred to as the rate of change of frequency(RoCoF),is proposed for KE management.The upper boundary of droop gain is extended to give full play to converters and is revised,considering the system frequency state,to counter positive feedback issues induced by reversible gain regulation,which is restricted by KE to ensure stable operations as well.The inertial DC energy needed to cooperate with KE control regarding countering small fluctuations,is improved with an orderly recovery behavior.Case studies are conducted under dynamic wind conditions and the results indicate that with our proposed scheme,the ability of dynamic inertia recovery can be obtained,bringing DFIG higher generation efficiency and more adequate operation margin for sustained regulation.Essentially,the inertial frequency response and fluctuation suppression ability is well maintained.展开更多

For further verification, the relation between the fractional dimension of time series and rotational speed can be used to identify critical speed effectively by using this method to a plate Jeffoctt rotor system. This essay studies the fault diagnosis of high speed rotors based on invented instrument and shows the measurement and research of the signals of rubbing failure of high speed rotors. The research introduces the designed software and hardware which are experimented and testified on Bentley rotor experiment platform. The qualities of rotor yarn are really directed by spinning parameters. The aim of this study is to observe the effect of spinning parameters such as rotor diameter and speed on thick, thin places and neps of yarn in rotor spinning process. 0.11 sliver hank of 100% cotton was used to produce 12 Ne yarn. 65% virgin cotton and 35% wastage cotton were mixed together. The positive impact of spinning parameters on yarn properties were accessed by thick places, thin places and neps. Results indicate that the yarn qualities were improved with increasing of rotor speed and rotor diameter. The rotor diameter was settled to 43 mm while rotor speed fluctuated from 35,000 to 45,000 rpm and rotor speed was fixed to 35,000 rpm while rotor diameter across contrasts from 43 mm to 66 mm.展开更多

In view of fluctuation features of rotor speed rise curve during load rejection tests, the ...Calculated results of inertia moment of turbo-generator rotor can be quite different by methods used in load rejection tests. In view of fluctuation features of rotor speed rise curve during load rejection tests, the measurement principle of rotor inertia moment was expounded. Based on the measured data in load rejection tests for an imported type of domestic 300-MW generating unit, the rotor speed rise curve was fitted with three kinds of functions to get initial runup rate, but the obtained results differed a lot from each other. According to analysis on the mechanism of rotor speed rise, m=2 consecutive points averaging or FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) smoothing technology was introduced to process test data, and then the initial runup rate was determined by the method of linear fitting of rotor speed in the range of governing valve closing time. Although the obtained curves had a fluctuating shape, the results of rotor inertia moment for 50% and 100% load rejection tests were of good consistency.展开更多

The ball bearing-rotor system produces resonance when it working in critical speed and that makes the turbocharger injury working for a long time. The calculation and analysis methods of the critical speed for the vehicle turbocharger are described. The critical speed is computed by two methods including Riccati transfer matrix and DyRoBeS finite element method for a vehicle turbocharger with hybrid ceramic ball bearing. The vibration experiment had been taken to validate the calculating result, Comparison between the results by two calculation methods and the test results show that the first critical speed differences are 6.47 % and 5.66 %, the second critical speed differences are 2.87 % and 2.94 % respectively. And then, the primary factors which influence the critical speed are analyzed, the conclusions will be helpful for the vehicle turbocharger bearing-rotor system design.展开更多

The project related to the present paper deals with the method for analyzing bearing rotor systems with high rotation speed and specially supported by active magnetic bearings, and studies its rotor dynamics performance, including calculation of the natural frequencies with their distribution characteristics, and the critical speeds of the system. One of the targets of this project is to formulate a theory and method valid for the analysis of the dynamic performance of the active magnetic bearing rotor system by combining the traditional theory and method of rotor dynamics with the analytical theory and design method based on modern control theory of the AMB system.展开更多
