CEO更迭是企业运营中的常见现象,因成长路径不同,内部提拔和外部招聘的CEO的知识、经验以及与组织的嵌入程度也有所不同,这就导致其对组织的战略变革和创新绩效产生不同影响。本文首先从理论上分析CEO来源、战略变革、创新绩效之间的关系并提出假设,然后选取国泰安数据库中943条CEO更迭记录进行相关回归分析。结果表明:外部继任CEO会负面影响企业创新绩效,而战略变革在其中发挥部分中介作用。基于此,本文提出企业选择CEO继任者时应充分考虑发展阶段和创新活动的持续性,同时注重加强高管人才的内部培养。

盈余管理、CEO特征与碳信息披露——来自中国高碳排放行业上市公司的证据

在全球气候变化不断加剧的背景下,碳密集型行业正面临着日益增长的公众压力。此种情况下,推动绿色低碳经济已然成为实现可持续发展的必然选择。选取2012—2020年中国高碳排放行业上市公司为研究对象,探究盈余管理对碳信息披露的影响,以及CEO特征对碳信息披露和盈余管理的调节作用。结果显示,盈余管理程度越大,碳信息披露越少;CEO性别为女性、CEO教育背景越高、CEO任期越长、CEO财务背景越强,盈余管理对碳信息披露的反向促进作用会得到加强;CEO年龄越大,盈余管理对碳信息披露的反向促进作用会得到削弱。

CEO研发背景、企业管理变革与双元创新

企业如何持续拥有穿越周期的核心竞争力,关键在于企业高级管理人员的创新意识与战略。文章以2008—2022年A股上市公司为样本,基于组织烙印理论系统考察CEO研发背景、企业管理变革与双元创新之间的影响效应和传导路径。研究发现:(1)CEO研发背景对企业双元创新影响显著为正,且对探索式创新的促进效应更为显著;(2)企业管理变革在CEO研发背景与双元创新中起中介作用,且对探索式创新的作用更强;(3)拥有研发背景的CEO对双元创新的提升作用在高技术行业中更加明显;(4)随着市场竞争的加剧,拥有研发背景的CEO会从应用式创新逐渐转向探索式创新。最后,本文对企业完善CEO选聘机制,尤其是高技术企业的CEO选拔,以及企业的管理变革提出了相应的建议。
