The species of arsenic in secondary zinc oxide generated from fuming furnace were investigated. The results revealed that there are mainly three types of secondary zinc oxide based on three arsenic species. The main phase of As is As2O3 in type Ⅰ, zinc arsenite (Zn(AsO2)2) in type Ⅱ and lead arsenate (Pb(As206), Pb4As2O9) in type Ⅲ, respectively. Selective leaching of zinc oxide of type Ⅱ was carried out. The leaching rate of As kept at 65%-70% with 30 g/L NaOH and L/S ratio of 3 at 20 ℃ for 1 h, while the losses of Pb and Zn were both below 1%. 展开更多

The Antioxidant Activity of Barley Malt Rootlet Extracts in Heated Corn Oil at Frying Temperature

The antioxidant activity </span><span style="font-family:"">of </span><span style="font-family:"">BMR extracts was measured at 25, 50, 100 and 150 ppm concentrations. The free and bound antioxidant phenolics were extracted from BMR using three different extraction methods. Conventional solvent extraction (CSE), microwave assisted extraction (MAE) and autoclave assisted pretreated solvent extraction (APSE). In the present experiment, the total phenolic content and antioxidant activity of the various extracts w</span><span style="font-family:"">ere</span><span style="font-family:""> measured. Thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) assay was used to evaluate the ability of the BMR to protect lipid peroxidation in corn oil at 185</span><span style="font-family:"">&deg;</span><span style="font-family:"">C frying temperature. The formation of TBARS at 5 hours of heat treated corn oil ha</span><span style="font-family:"">s</span><span style="font-family:""> shown similar antioxidant levels in 150 ppm butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) or MAE free phenolic extract added to corn oil. TBARS value for BHT was 1.896 ± 0.013 μg/mL of corn oil and for MAE was 1.896 ± 0.034 μg/mL of corn oil. The highest level of antioxidant activity was found for the free phenolic extracts. The order of inhibition of oxidation was found to be for free phenolics as follows: BHT (100 ppm) > APSE (50 ppm) > MAE (100 ppm) > CSE (100 ppm). 展开更多

Secondary organic aerosol (SOA) formed from Cl-initiated oxidation of toluene was investigated in a home-made smog chamber. The size distribution and chemical composition of SOA particles were measured using aerodynamic particle sizer spectrometer and the aerosol laser time-of-flight mass spectrometer (ALTOFMS), respectively. According to a large number of single aerosol diameter and mass spectra, the size distribution and chemical composition of SOA were obtained statistically. Experimental results showed that SOA particles created by Cl-initiated oxidation of toluene is predominantly in the form of fine particles, which have diameters less than 2.5 μm (i.e., PM2.5), and glyoxal, benzaldehyde, benzyl alcohol, benzoquinone, benzoic acid, benzyl hydroperoxide and benzyl methyl nitrate are the major products components in the SOA. The possible reaction mechanisms leading to these products are also proposed. 展开更多

Four haze episodes, which accounted for ~ 60... A field experiment from 18 August to 8 September 2006 in Beijing, China, was carried out. A hazy day was defined as visibility 〈 10 km and RH(relative humidity) 〈 90%. Four haze episodes, which accounted for ~ 60% of the time during the whole campaign, were characterized by increases of SNA(sulfate, nitrate, and ammonium) and SOA(secondary organic aerosol) concentrations. The average values with standard deviation of SO2-+4, NO-3, NH4 and SOA were 49.8(± 31.6), 31.4(±22.3), 25.8(±16.6) and 8.9(±4.1) μg/m3, respectively, during the haze episodes, which were 4.3, 3.4, 4.1, and 1.7 times those in the non-haze days. The SO2-4,NO-3, NH+4, and SOA accounted for 15.8%, 8.8%, 7.3%, and 6.0% of the total mass concentration of PM10 during the non-haze days. The respective contributions of SNA species to PM10 rose to about27.2%, 15.9%, and 13.9% during the haze days, while the contributions of SOA maintained the same level with a slight decrease to about 4.9%. The observed mass concentrations of SNA and SOA increased with the increase of PM10 mass concentration, however, the rate of increase of SNA was much faster than that of the SOA. The SOR(sulfur oxidation ratio) and NOR(nitrogen oxidation ratio) increased from non-haze days to hazy days, and increased with the increase of RH. High concentrations of aerosols and water vapor favored the conversion of SO2 to SO2-4and NO2 to NO-3, which accelerated the accumulation of the aerosols and resulted in the formation of haze in Beijing. 展开更多

The Ni-Al bimetallic catalysis of intramolecular enantioselective and regioselective C-H cyclization of4-oxoquinazolines with tethered alkenes has been successfully developed.Some new secondary phosphine oxides(SPOs)with large steric hindrance(SPO6-11)were designed and successfully synthesized from readily available chiral amines or amino acids.The developed chiral SPOs as ligands or preligands demonstrate much higher efficiency in the asymmetric catalytic reactions than the reported traditional ones.A new class of chiral tricyclic pyrroloquinazolinones were obtained in up to 95%yield and 99%ee. 展开更多

Unraveling the catalytic reaction mechanism is a long-term challenge for developing efficient catalysts.The blooming bimetallic catalyst have enabled to activate inert bonds and realize complex C-C formation.Herein,we theoretically discover a dual-phosphinito bridged hetero-bimetallic species that verified by NMR experiments.Our results indicate only dual-phosphinito Ni-Al model can be an active catalyst in asymmetric cycloadditions via C-C activation and C-H activation,which can well rationalize the experimental observations for both reactivity and stereo-selectivity.An unprecedented tandem redox dehydrogenation mechanism was revealed to control the formation of this active species overriding the inherent basicity.Synergistic Lewis acid and eg orbital interactions,including dz2 orbital reoccupation and d_(x^(2)−y^(2))orbital recombination,were disclosed to understand both thermodynamic and kinetic advance of dual-bridged model,displaying feasible redox properties. 展开更多
